The water stations are easy to use and fill up the jugs quickly. The water tastes crisp and clean. Although I'm always tempted by the icy treats, I have yet to try them but my family has. It's not no Discount store, 35 cents a gallon! Go to WinCo (open 24 hours) or natural grocers both right down the street and you will only pay 25 cents a gallon. You will also get a real shopping cart and they both have automatic doors that open while you are rolling your heavy cart out. Also you won't get charged some stupid 35 cents administration fee for not spending over 5 dollars using your debit/credit card. All these reverse osmosis water systems taste the same to me. If you need alkaline water, then this place is definitely for you. If you are one of those people that bring more than 4 (5 gallon water bottles) then this place is also for you, their carts can hold more than a grocery store cart. Shaved ice sucks, they need to replace their blades or something because that ice is not really shaved ice. My plastic snoopy hand cranked ice shaver I had as a kid produced better than theirs. Flavor? what flavor, it tasted like just plain sugar. Or is it corn syrup? Customer service was average for Gilbert AZ, nothing special. I didn't see anything racist going on at the time. read more

Stopped in this store on a whim, saw it while driving by. So glad we stopped. Not only do they sell ice and water bottles that you can fill yourself, but they had a great selection of candy and snacks. We got jawbreakers, sixlets, lemonheads and orangeheads! I also found dill pickle flavored sunflower seeds. They had a decent selection of different sodas from Jones, etc. They also serve Thrifty Ice Cream, Soft Serve Ice Cream, and Hawaiian Shave Ice. The soft serve ice cream was terrific, and the chocolate dip had good chocolate flavor without being waxy and waxy tasting like I remember from childhood. The Shave Ice wasn't flaky like I remember it being when I had it somewhere else. This was a cross between a snocone and shave ice. They did have just about every flavor syrup you could imagine. We've been coming here for quite a few years to fill up our water jugs. They have cards for 60 gals for $12 (that equates to $0.20/gal). Definitely worth it. They have a lot of stations where you can fill both gallon and 5 gallon bottles, so that's great. They also have Thrifty ice cream, as well as Icees, and a bunch of other sweet treats. So, this Water & Ice store has a lot of stuff. For all that, I give it a 5 star. And they also have some arcade games and where you can just sit and hang out. However, sometimes whomever is at the register is a hit or miss. Sometimes it is a young person and sometimes that young person is nice. Other times, it is an older person and sometimes they are nice, but sometimes just indifferent. So, the customer service or personnel factor, I'd give it a 3 star. But overall the place is clean and very user friendly. read more

I used to frequent at this ice cream shop because it had delicious ice cream to eat and I have had good experiences with them before. However, last night a respectable Asian family appeared in the shop to purchase ice cream. I saw an employee, who appeared to be the owner, glanced at them several times, but did not provide them with service. A WHITE woman with her son was waiting behind them to also purchase ice cream. The owner went to them FIRST and said to them, "You are OBIOUSLY the first in line, so what do you need today?" I saw the family turn to leave, which they did. Only then, as they were leaving, that an employee (other than the owner) asked them if they needed anything. They said no and left. I am extremely disappointed in this water and ice branch because this particular store has a great variety of ice cream flavors. Also, I have had good experiences with the company. The boss of the branch should be deeply sorry because he showed respectable customers that did nothing to him, blatant racism.
