Tons of fun and definitely keeps things from getting repetitive. The staff were friendly and helpful--they give you a quick rundown on how to throw, then let your group take the lead. It's a laid-back vibe, which we liked, but if you're looking for more hands-on coaching or lessons, you'll need to flag them down again. Food options are limited--basically pizza, chips, and chicken nuggets--but that's not really the focus here. What they do have is a solid beer selection, reasonably priced at $4-$6 a can, which is a nice bonus. Only downside: it was pretty warm inside. He threw axes tonight, while I enjoyed a cold one. Owner Jeff and his staff are very welcoming. This boosted his confidence, which has been an ongoing project. Tonight he got more bullseyes during his hour session. Nice employees and customers. It was good to catch the Eclectic Company band. Also the pretzels with beer cheese are huge and quite tasty. My son enjoyed the flat bread pizza. He wouldn't share a slice with me, but he's a growing leviathan. This restaurant supports military members and first responders. The rooms are tiny. The shards of broken glass got in my boots :( Ouchie. The earmuffs don't work well so also my ears were also ... ouchie. The staff has an attitude that will grow on you, I'll just say that lol. The inside smells like sweat and beer. They serve snacks and alcohol if you like that.

Let's just tack on some supervised ax trick shots and you have the best place near Richmond. Here is the best part. You get the best trainers in the biz. I felt like we could ask any question and get pro quality instruction! The staff was sharp and on point (pardon the pun) Tip: don't go hungry, there is no food (outside of packed chips and bottled drinks) or alcohol on the premises. This should change in About 3 mths. Maggie was also there to help guide our group on the proper way to toss and to banter with Brad which was really funny. After a few bad throws, loud bangs, and total misses, our group got the hang of it and it was a ton of fun! Tossing the stars made us feel like ninjas! Great for groups, team building, etc.
