We were impressed that Dyess responded within hours to the complaint that the toilet was leaking again already...and Rick resolved the problem, explained what happened and recommended we get a water softener as the root of the problem was disintegrating seals due to chlorine--he educated us on RO improving water and health and went above and beyond to ensure we wouldn't have any near term problems and suggested new toilets and an RO when our budget permits. I told him there was maybe 3 1/2 or 4 hours of work max and to not even send the estimate. The email said $2986, what a discount!!! I called a place in Beaufort that set the tub AND installed a new Moen Faucet, all for $750. It took them less than 4 hours, like I said. There are a bunch of contractors around here that will quote stupid high prices because a lot of people are paying it. Another guy quoted me $3000 to do 80 feet of tile in the tile surround. I wanted a licensed plumber for the insurance behind them but the tile I did myself. I did the entire job, after paying the plumber for $2732.54. New tub, faucet, tile and shower doors included. BEWARE.
