It took my birthday to help me find my calling in life. It might be a late calling but nonetheless I see it now, my new life's dream is to be an escape room expect. And thanks to "Just Escape" my vision is clear. It also being my twins birthday he booked the room. He chose the most difficult room with a success rate of forty one point one percent. "Prey" was the room we threw our hat in. When we arrived the place was packed. They offer food and drinks if you want to hang out before or after your event. Once we checked in the incredible staff escorted us to our underground prison. I don't want to give away to many details, but "Prey" is not for the faint of heart. My all time record for escaping is now two and zero! My team handle the challenge. What's also cool is if you complete the room, they put you up on their leader board. We made the list. You have a hour to complete the room and we had one minute left to spare. After the owner and her staff congratulated us and actually talked to us about how well we did. They were completely entertaining and welcoming. It was so amazing we rebooked for a later time. I definitely recommend this place if you've never tried a escape room. This was by far one of the best experiences ever! This is our second time doing an escape room, and I can for sure tell you, it does not get old! We tried the "Underworld" room and we were so happy with our choice. You get one hour to complete the room and I believe three to four hints. The room was beautifully decorated which made you feel like the scenario was actually real. We were so in awe with the room that we lost time just looking around! The price was reasonable for our group and the place was really clean. The workers were very sweet and helpful. We couldn't solve our room but we will be back to try to escape another one! One downside: at the first location where we did an escape room, we were told how to solve it and what we missed because we didn't beat it. When we didn't beat this one, I was waiting for the workers to tell us how to beat it, but we were told they don't do that. What a bummer! Would've been nice to know how to beat it! read more

Went with my seven year old and we loved it. We did the carnival one and even though it was just the two of us and we had no shot of solving it, we had a blast and couldn't wait to come back to do a different one. We'd definitely recommend. Good staff, good setup, all around excellent. read more

Just escape is the first escape room I've ever been to and I'm so glad it was. Their site is very descriptive about all the rooms they provide along with prices. Booking was easy and straight forward but their booking site, at least in my experience wasn't very mobile phone friendly. The desktop version worked just fine. When you book the room, you have to get a minimum for 4 tickets for any room you're attending. At $30-$35 a person, you're looking at $120 minimum but if you can split that amongst your group, it's not a bad deal. Be sure to check their social media as they have all kinds of discounts and deals going on constantly! If you're trying to book the room for only you and your friends, be aware you'll have to buy out ALL the tickets available for the rooms which vary depending on the room you're trying to do. 8-12 people in each room so if you want a private group, prepare to throw in some serious cash for an hour event. We did the room called "Prey" which is supposed to be the scariest and most difficult room they have. Whilst I wouldn't say it was scary, it was definitely a little creepy. Some of the people in my group were definitely nervous and afraid so take that how you will. Needless to say with it being our first room, we didn't get far and didn't escape. The entire time however, we had a blast. The game master saw that we were new and even gave us mini hints which helped prevent us from having a bad time due to our ineptitude lol. Without spoiling anything, the escape room had my competitive blood boiling and has me dying to return for a rematch against that room and others. It was worth every penny as far as I'm concerned and the hour went by far too fast. The last thing I want to point out is the room limits. I mentioned before that each room allows for up to 12 people. Personally I don't recommend going with more than 6, maybe 8 people max. The rooms aren't THAT big and maybe too many eyes or people would just remove some challenge or unnecessarily over complicate that room. With that being said. Being a first time experience and that my group didn't escape, the place was amazing and I'll definitely go back. read more

Great room, did the pirate one, every puzzle was fair and doable within the time frame. Kyle did a great job prefacing the escape and giving us hints as needed. I've done a bunch of escape rooms and this is one of the better ones for sure. My only question though, is what was up with the cannonballs? Went here for my birthday. There were 18 of us. 12 in one group, six in another. I was in the group that did Underworld. The other group did Prey. We managed to solve ours, but the Prey group died LOL. It was so much fun! Everyone had a great time. They run the place very efficiently and you should plan to arrive about 15 min early. First we started with underworld which wasn't crazy hard but fun and then we did illusionist which was very hard but we completed it.. both rooms were great .. our game master was Tom for both and he was so great we have fun with him!!!! This was an usual new adventure ! 4 of us in - a room (not really locked) trying to figure out all the clues. Some clues were linked to other ones which made things tricky & confusing. You can reqest clues if you are really stumped. There is a monitor which counts down the time & spells out assistance with the clues. The clues are in places that you would never expect them to be. Yesterday was my second time visiting this Escape establishment. They were my first Escape the Room experience about 1 year ago and definitely set the bar extremely high. I have visited other establishments that never came close to the quality I experienced at Just Escape. The facility is exceptionally clean, organized and the staff is friendly, informative and very helpful. Yesterday when plans fell through and we had a few hours to kill, I took my daughter and three nieces ranging in ages 8-14 on a whim to Just Escape. Upon booking, tt was recommended to do Carnival Conundrum. This was the perfect room to keep them engaged, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the aspect that the Game Masters are watching you and can communicate through the TV inside the room. At other establishments walkie talkies were used and that just isn't fun or effective. Our Game Master gave us clues and knew what would help us at that particular moment. The girls were able to escape with just 47 seconds left! It definitely seems to be on the pricey side, but I do believe you pay for quality and will definitely be returning, this time for an adult themed room again. read more

I came here with my family Saturday night before Easter. We had the pirate room reserved at 8:40pm and showed up at around 8:20pm in order to fill out all the proper paper work. We were greeted by Matt and led down the stairs to our respective room. I have never done an escape the room before but some of my siblings and my mom have. The pirate room was really fun and interactive. Loved all the different aspects about it. We used 2 clues and finished with about 18 minutes left. Just returned from completing my third escape at this location. Here's some info for you: Us: Team of 2. Not fans of horror escapes. Very experienced puzzlers. Overall escape room record is 12-3. Three losses for three different reasons (one was due to the lackadaisical nature of a different escape room company that I won't return to) Rooms completed: Underworld: 12 person room, 2 of us, solved with 12 minutes to go. Fun puzzles. Well put together. "Relatively" straight forward as puzzle rooms go. A few really killer puzzles can trip you up. Carnival Conundrum: 8 person room, 2 of us, solved with 5 minutes to spare. Considered one of the easier rooms, but still has a lot of puzzles that needed to be solved. A few killer puzzles, but a few that were not my favorites. Some of the puzzles relied on a degree of luck rather than unlocking skill. The Illusionist: 8 person room, 2 of us, solved with 1 and a half minutes to spare. This room is especially interesting. A bit of outside knowledge is needed for one part, but the locks in this room are very different than in a typical escape room. The keys aren't always in the shape of keys. This was probably my favorite room of the summer (and we had done 8 this summer!) We will be back one more time for the Pirates room! See if we can go 4 for 4! read more

Perhaps it's the room we did, or perhaps it's the placement of each person, or perhaps it was just... Just Escape? We did Prey. I have had my eyes on this room for 6+ months. Everything about this room spoke to me --- 17+ years older, live actor, handcuffed and blindfolded, pseudo-kidnapped, etc. Yes, this type of theme is my jam. Prey as a room itself was awesome. So creepy and ominous, like a mix of Hostel and Saw. PROS: 1) Yes, I felt kidnapped... and restrained... and panicked. 2) I love being separated (don't read too much into this). 3) The actor, though not in the room, was a really nice touch. 4) This room quite possibly had the best song to ever be played in a horror-themed escape room. 5) Someone from Just Escape called and left a voicemail to see how our experience went. I think this is a great personal touch and truly shows how much this business means to them. CONS: 1) The clue master was a bit slow in responding. 2) This room is a key 'n' lock escape room and lacks any real puzzles. 3) If you do this room with the recommended 12 people (or anything above 6 or 7 to be honest), have fun! My personal disclaimer if you do go with a large group as Just Escape advises: you just wasted $30 each. 4) Depending on where you end up being 'situated', get comfortable. My friend spent 30+ minutes restrained and was unable to help us due to the layout. It wasn't until much later in the game that we were able to change that, which was frustrating since I was the one that forced her to go. 5) "What? Wait, WHAT? I can't hear you. Guys, stop talking. I can't hear her with everyone talking and the music playing." I'm assuming this is why Just Escape claims that the room is harder with more people. With only 4 people, this was a big struggle. 6) Wait, that's it? Did we escape? How does coming together mean that we escaped? LAME. 7) For an "extremely hard" room, we managed it with 4 people and just 2 clues. Check out the leaderboard! We are the top team - W.T.F. indeed! To be honest, I'm open to going back here, but for the 35 minutes it took to drive there, it would need to be a really enticing offer and/or room. read more

This was my first time doing an escape room and I loved it! My boyfriend and I brought our kids, age 11, 14, and 18 and we had a great time. We did the Illusionist room and it was perfect for all the ages. We had the room to ourselves which worked out and we each did our part to work as a team. We actually escaped and good thing we did! We were sooo happy and excited and even more so because we only had 3 minutes to spare. Our absolute FAVORITE Escape the room place! My family and I love to have fun and explore escape the room games. We've been to one in manhattan and one on Long Island before going to Just escape and they just weren't up to par. The rooms at the other locations were just a bunch of keys with locked drawers, very lackluster but at Just Escape, the rooms are completely interactive and really get you to think using puzzles, magnets, secret codes and messages! They really submerge you into the atmosphere with themed music and rooms...are just WOW! So detailed and very well thought out! My boyfriend is from Texas and whenever he comes up to visit he always insists that we go to Just Escape! We love it every time! We've done three rooms so far and plan to continue going! This place is fun, challenging and organized. This was my second time here. I came over the summer as a group of 4 and escaped from Underworld. We couldn't stop talking about it. I just came back over the weekend to do Prey as a group of 9. The staff did a great job acting in their roles. We escaped with 3 seconds remaining. The group before us didn't make it out. My friends were happy to celebrate my birthday with something different rather than going to the bar. It was a great conversation at dinner afterwards. read more

Our son's 9th birthday party was a total success thanks to Just Escape! Sarah was amazing and went above and beyond during the booking process and my endless questions. She even texted me photos of the private room to help me plan! Mariel, our room master, was so sweet and patient with all the kids. They had a blast. We recommend renting the private room for the 3 hours, while the kids try to escape the rooms you can hang with the adults and eat. My husband and I want to come back to try and escape from the Prey room! Overall, we would highly recommend this place. They are professional, go above and beyond and are extremely sweet! read more

I've done a lot of escape rooms and this place has some of the best. The room we did this time was The Illusionist and we had a great time. The decor and music in the room gave it an authentic "magic" feel and the game played well (the clues made sense and fit the theme). The room had a lot of reactive puzzles (as opposed to just figuring out a number and opening a lock) where an action would cause something else to happen. We did the room entitled Underworld. Our game master was Lauren. She was excellent! The room was a bit tricky but her clues and little nudges helped us out and we escaped with 4 minutes left. We had 4 people in our group and I would suggest 5-6 for this room, even though it holds 12. I also encourage you to do this room before it closes on December 1st. Our group has done 3 rooms here including Sweet Revenge and Illusionist as well. I've had great experiences so far. We plan on testing our skills and tackling Prey next, as it also closes on Dec 1st. Great location, Rooms are well though out, challenging, fun, clean, with good themes. Really high quality all around. I love Just Escape! I have done three of their escape rooms - Sweet Revenge, Underworld, & Tryals - and they were all awesome and very well done! Some background on me - I'm an engineer; I love enigmas, taking things apart and figuring things out. I watch a lot of Law & Order and faithfully complete the newspaper's crossword puzzle every morning. So naturally, I love escape rooms. I've been to four different locations - two in New York and two in Texas - and Just Escape is the best one I've been to, mainly due to the fluidity of the escape rooms and amazing customer service. To start, each of the three times I've been to Just Escape, the owner Jacqueline was present - I LOVE THAT! It's so nice to patron small businesses as it is, but the fact that the owner is so passionate about her business and actively involved in everything makes the experience feel special and customized every time. Also, she's super down-to-earth and friendly whilst remaining dedicated to her professionalism and giving the best experience possible. The escape room themselves are pretty epic! I love how Just Escape really goes all out with the chosen theme - everyone I've went with (myself included) got really into the storylines and room themes because the staff makes everything so fluid with the way the clues and rooms flow. I don't want to give away too much, but the rooms were very fair in regards to their ranked difficulty levels - I loved them all! Just Escape has well thought out enjoyable rooms. The staff is polite and we had a great time when we completed our room. We had issues multiple times with a broken room element and loss of our reservation, but the management team was excellent.
