Ok where do I begin? My family & I had a BLAST!! I think I found it on Yelp in the event section. I put a family text out to the youngens in the family. Since I read there would be walking & riddles to be solved. And the older fam aren't too fond of the unknown & puzzle solving LOL. The ones that responded decided as a group to do the Cupcake Conundrum in Patchogue. What a great way to explore the different shops on Main St. I don't wanna give too much away because that's where the fun is. Solving the clues & finding the next spot. We got to try Locale where we dined on Mussels in wine sauce & a Margherita Pizza. Both were delicious! That's where we got our first clue. Then there was The Paper Doll Curiosity Shoppe which we all loved and Todd was so friendly & such a pleasure to talk with. Fun stuff in the store. Like the funky glasses with mustaches that we received & wore for the rest of the day like it was normal. We were stopped several times by curious onlookers who wanted to know about the glasses. We proudly told them "We're Food Detectives!!" LOL Several wonderful restaurants including 2 desserts. All of the food was delicious & enjoyable. Remember drinks are not included, and we were fine with that. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. I don't know where to begin in describing how great this tour was and how responsive the tour operators were. Everything was so well organized and every detail that we discussed beforehand (e.g. vegetarian substitutes, outdoor seating) was executed flawlessly. Not only did they answer my numerous questions before the tour in an incredibly prompt manner, they were also there in person at the beginning and end of the tour. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were stuffed by the end of the tour. Each restaurant and retail shop owner was genuinely happy to see us. My daughter and her friends had a great time piecing together the clues in order to solve the mystery. Thanks Food Done It for making my daughter's 16th birthday unique and fun! read more

So much fun. Mystery very easy and food excellent. You should have at least 4 people along so you can do lots of chatting between moving to the next place. Not too much for you to solve and the story line needs a bit of work but one of the best experiences to do on a rainy day. I would definitely make the puzzles harder and give more of them to get clues to actually solve the mystery instead of just directing you to the next Restaurant. Drinks are on your own but places don't charge much for drinks. We went on a rainy Sunday so every place was empty. Saturday might get too busy. We spent 4.5 hours on the adventure. read more

We had so much fun! We were 3 woman out on a Sunday afternoon doing the Huntington tour. We began our tour at Neraki's on Main Street. Here was where we were given our first clues and our first meal. We continued our mystery to 2 other restaurants, an antique shop and 2 dessert cafes. The food and the desserts were all very good. The mystery was fun, not super difficult but challenging enough. It was a perfect day for 3 woman looking for something different to do. It allowed us to catch up and explore some places in huntington that we have never gone to. We enjoyed the day and the tour some much that we are planning to visit another Main Street food done it tour in the future. read more

We had a wonderful time today! We were a party of 7 celebrating my daughters 13th birthday so it was a gaggle of teens on the streets of Patchogue. Kevin is adorable and responds immediately with any concerns. We started at Locale and they served a delicious pizza and mussels and our first clue. Kevin came in to welcome us and to make sure we were settled. We didn't expect that but welcomed it. Our clue got us to the next stop which is this adorable little store with vintage type goods, I think it's called Paper dolls. The gentleman who ran the store was delightful as well. Our next clue took us to Kilwins.... enough said! Then we went to a Colombian restaurant, Gallo which was good too but the most delicious food by far was at the Meetball. Pairing meatballs with sauces is something I'd never think to do! The food was soooo gooood! Then off to Paper dolls again for the final part of our investigation where the girls solved the crime and had cupcakes from Smallcake Cupcakery. The birthday cake cupcake was to die for! The cupcakes were so good we went back to purchase a ton of cupcakes to bring home. It was 4 hours of giggles, waking around and great food. This was unlike any other party my daughter has attended. The girls had a blast and so did the adults. I highly recommend! It also gave us a taste of Patchogue (we are from Queens) which is adorable. I'm So glad I found this interactive food tour. So much fun! We had a small group (5 adults). It was pretty easy to figure out the clues and it was cool to check out so many places in town. It was snowing and so cold the day we did it, but everything was planned out so well that the walls in between were short. I def recommend downloading the local parking app to pay for parking. Also, they aren't kidding about the "full meal" part. There was so much food! By the time we got to the last stop, we couldn't fit anything else. Overall fun afternoon. It was fun to explore Patchogue and try new and different restaurants but I have one MAJOR complaint. If you sign up to go on the cupcake conundrum, you might expect to be able to choose your own cupcake. That was not the case. I understand that the cupcake place might not be open when some of the tours end but it was open when mine ended and we still were unable to choose our own or even asked what type we would like. This inevitably left a few people in our group very dissatisfied and our tour just ended on a sour note. Might not be a deal breaker for some people but it is for me. read more

The Food Done It Tour in Patchogue was absolutely amazing! My sisters and I surprised my mother for her 60th birthday and couldn't believe how much fun we had. We went on the Cupcake Conundrum Tour this past weekend. There was a total of 6 different places (5 restaurants and 1 Retail Shop) which we got to explore and enjoy. Each place was different from one another and offered something unique to our visit. One of our favorite parts of the tour was surprisingly at the Retail Shop, because of their quirky and eccentric merchandise they have and their amazing Todd who works at the store. The service at each location was great and each restaurant went the extra mile to make our experience even better. The hosts and servers at ALL of the places were very professional, helpful, interesting to talk to and made sure everyone had what they needed to enjoy the day. If we were confused the servers, bartenders, host and even management would help us to make sure we were able to solve the clue at there location so we can receive the next clue on where to go. The variety of food at each stop was absolutely delicious and filling, and was even given special drink specials at each location just for the Food Done It customers. We started off with some delicious Italian apps and ended at the coolest coffee shop having the most delicious French Vanilla coffee and most scrumptious cupcake. This tour clearly exceeded our expectation and was very well planned out. We started the tour at 1:30 and ended at 5:45. We never had to wait at any of the restaurant and went right in which was a huge plus. The user friendly app that went along the tour was great. I highly recommend this tour and can't wait to try the Fire and Ice tour next month. read more

Food Dun It? was so much fun and a fantastic idea! The experience overall took us about 4 and a half hours. We got to eat at restaurants and try food we normally wouldn't go to or order during regular trips to restaurants in Patchogue, which was great! I loved the Charlie Chaplin style videos and our mustache glasses. The clues were easy, but still took brain power to figure out. Overall, would highly recommend and we cannot wait to do the Fire & Ice case and cannot wait for it to expand to other towns so we can experience the cuisine too! read more
