Justin is amazing! I had been wanting to transform my clawfoot tub to a shower for 2 years. He showed up with lots of options, and ready to get the job Done. He was totally patient and listened to the configurations I had in my mind. My creativity sometimes surpasses what is possible in reality. He gave me all the choices, and the price estimates. In the end he did a custom configuration for my tub, to transform it to a shower with a handheld head, the best of all the scenarios I had in mind. In the middle of the job, we realized the shower head I purchased was missing a part out of the box, and he actually drove back to the store to exchange it when he could have had an "its your problem" attitude. I am super impressed with his professionalism, creativity and integrity. He was efficient and really charming and drove into SF from Mountain View, without complaining or charging any extra fees for the trip. We got the best service ever from Justin. The water pressure at our house had over a period of time fallen and finally dropped dramatically. We thought at first it might be the water from the main and called the water company. They came out and measured the pressure at the curb to be 143 PSI and after our regulator to be 34 PSI. Their suggestion was to get a new regulator. We did that, but half way through trying to install it we realized we didn't know what we were doing. At that point, I called Justin. He came out and installed the regulator -- which was somewhat better than the old one -- but that the pressure before the regulator was still very low. We had the water company come out again to verify their measurements and show us their evaluation with similar results as before. At that point it was clear there was something amiss in the line between the curb and our house. Justin was able to bring together a trencher and his plumbers in short order and replaced the line between the curb and the house with minimal downtime -- we were without water for only 2 hours. Additionally, he also added a new regulator to our sprinkler system because the new, awesome pressure was going to be too much for it. The end price was what he quoted at the very beginning. He showed up on time, and very efficiently diagnosed and fixed the problem. I don't think you can find better plumbers...seriously. We had a major leak outdoors. Another plumbing company said they'd need to break the concrete open to get to it. These guys dug deep into the soil until they found the leak and fixed it. Lower in cost and a lot less damage than it would have been with the competitor. Justin and his employees replaced all the supply pipes in our house (from the street) in 2010, and installed a tankless hot water heater (he did the gas lines for that too). Everything has worked great. They have done other work for us since then including installing the water line to a new fridge for us, and snaking out the drain line from our bathroom when it gets slow (every 9 months or so - I can't wait to have him replace the drain lines in the house!). They are always on time and courteous. They are glad to talk about what they are going to do or has been done and they give good advice about what should be done, what I should be careful about (for example an old drain on our old clawfoot tub), and what should be addressed asap. Our main drain had backed up and we were not enjoying the smell! It was the holiday season, and other businesses were closing early that day. Justin was still able to work us into his schedule. Justin is great! I noticed that the hot water side in my two showers had gradually been losing heat to the point where turning the handle all the way to one side only gave me room temp water at best. I called several plumbers around town and no one knew how to repair Hansa equipment, and the one that did take a look at my shower diagnosed it completely wrong. A quick look and Justin knew exactly what was wrong and it didn't cost me a fortune for the one part that was needed for the repair as opposed to another plumber's solution. Shortly thereafter, a different issue came up and again, Justin was in and out, and fixed it quickly and correctly, and even gave me some helpful advice. Justin did the job just fine and he's a nice person. Not sure about his organizational system however. He was scheduled to come to my house to complete a job at 11 a.m. but no-showed. I called him at 11:20 to check if he was coming and left a voicemail asking his whereabouts. No call back. Called him again at 12:30 to see what was up. He answered and he apologized for not calling but he a) hadn't checked his messages, and b) didn't have my phone number with him so couldn't call me (though I had called him before at that same number.) He said he was on a job and could come by in an hour. He came after 2 p.m. and did do the job. But I'm pretty sure he forgot about me, my name, and my appointment, else he could easily have looked me up on the internet. He apologized. What can I say?
