Meanwhile, we watched one of the workers in the back assembling drive-thru orders handling cash and then handling waffle bowls with her bare hands--no gloves and zero handwashing between touching money and food. Seeing that unsanitary cross-contamination made us skip the waffle bowl entirely. ​We decided to share the Caramel Apple concoction (my husband wanted the caramel ice cream option). By the time it was handed across the counter to us, it was already soup--pretty much melted straight out of the tub. ​All in all, between the lack of basic food safety practices, poor customer service, dirty seating, and melted/freezer-burnt ice cream, it was a really disappointing visit.
