Before dropping it off, I had taken photos of its condition. There was already a thin scratch along the panel edge, but when I picked it up, I immediately noticed that the damage in that exact area had become significantly worse. The thin scratch had become a much larger gouge with more exposed material. I have before-and-after photos documenting the difference. I calmly brought my concerns to Dave, expecting him to inspect the vehicle and have a professional conversation. Instead, he got in my face, yelled at me, repeatedly denied any responsibility, and refused to acknowledge the obvious difference shown in my photos. I was shocked by how I was treated. No customer should be intimidated for asking legitimate questions about the condition of their own vehicle. I understand that mistakes can happen during repairs. What I cannot accept is the complete lack of professionalism and respect that followed. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, Dave chose to become confrontational and dismissive. along with one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I have before-and-after photos and my repair invoice documenting that the bumper was removed and reinstalled during the repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Once I pulled over on the shoulder of the highway, I could see its a transmission issue with the ATF spilled all over the place. Once at the shop, I told them the issue but they insisted on charging me $240 (diagnostic fees). Being from out of town, I needed to get back on the road so I said, fine let's just get it over with. For that $240, the mechanic looked under the hood for a minute, and under the car for another minute (tops) . He concluded (Surprise ) it is the transmission line . Next came another $230 for reconnecting the line and adding 7 Qts of ATF. So, for the total sum of $470, I was told my problem was solved and was assured I'm good to get back on the road. I got way overcharged for a simple repair but at least my problem is solved, WRONG. Later that night, on my way back home, my transmission overheated and I was stranded on the highway again. Towed the car to a reputable mechanic who confirmed my transmission is now shot. $5,200 to replace it. I reached out to AAA to discuss the misdiagnosis, the shop completely washed their hands from it. Even though they clearly misdiagnosed the problem ( which likely caused the transmission to overheat ), to add an insult to injury the shop insisted on keeping my $470 for their misdiagnoses. I tried AAA customer relations contact, not much help there. They reached out to the shop Manager who refused any accountability and kept the $470. If you are looking for a reputable shop that stands by their work and deals with customers in good faith, go somewhere else, this place ain't it. Stay away and save yourself the aggravation. What is really surprising to me is how a good company like AAA stood by and watched their own shop botch this situation and did absolutely nothing to make it right. Shame on this shop and shame on AAA Corp for not stepping up or caring about their own customer. This shop clearly demonstrated they care more about $$ than customer care and their reputation. To AAA Corp., hope your customer retention folks read this, you are better than this.
