He came out to check it and stated that we needed a heat exchanger that would be about $300 but he would check and see if it was under warranty. Well we never heard back from him either way and a couple months later we found a leak in the propane pipe going into the furnace that he was checking for us!! This is strike 2 for this company the first being about 5 years ago when I lived on lakeshore kitty corner to them and called 3 times to set up a service appointment and they never even called me back!! When my sister was standing out there the whole time no one ever brought out a jug of refrigerant., I've never heard of this kind of pricing. He says this is normal for his company., do not trust this man he absolutely price gouged sister of her money for her family and her little son, the guy told my sister he's gonna come out on next week and put on still does not come anywhere near $475 in cash they were told to pay, I will be reporting his company to the powers that be, I just hope he doesn't scam anyone else and gouge people on their service calls

Meh. Very irritated…read more Recently purchased a home which has two 6 year old furnaces that were installed by Bud's heating and cooling.... on a cold night, one of the furnaces went out. We called and they were able to make it out the following morning, so we heated the house with mini heaters that night. Upon their arrival, we were instructed that both furnaces have had issues for years (years? for a 6 year old furnaces?!) and that the furnaces were real "lemons." And both needed to have major rework. Again, 6 year old furnaces which this company installed. They told us that it was going to cost $1300 to fix the two furnaces for labor only- because the parts were covered under the warranty. We were also told that it would take 3-4 hours to fix both furnaces. $1300 to fix two furnaces that were installed just 6 years prior by this company?!?!?! That is just stupid. He adjusted his price to $1000. But still, come on. They showed up the next day, replaced the circuit boards and modulating valve kit. We were told that he the burner unit would replaced with the kit (that didnt happen).... Then after fixing just the one, he told us he had to go. Huh? I took off work to come home early to get the furnaces fixed and after doing only half the work. Sounds like highway robbery to me. The following week BOTH furnaces broke.... I mean completely broke. And that was AFTER spending the $1000. They wanted to install two NEW furnaces for $12,000. In the middle of winter, we did not have heat for 5 days!!!!! When the furnaces broke, we immediately got quotes from other companies and every company told us the furnaces were installed incorrectly causing excessive wear and tear on the units. We ended up having to spend another $12,000 to fix the issue Bud's heating and cooling caused us. I would never recommend nor use this company ever again.

He adjusted something and said it worked. It didn't. Called again this year and he said " what do you want me to do about it"? "No one's air-conditioner works when it's this hot". REALLY????? I had a 40-year-old air conditioner that worked better than this new one. I thought it wouldn't be worth fixing, but I guess it was. As a result I'm going to call in another company to troubleshoot and repair. What a shame.
