He gets you in and out quickly, even while being friendly and conversational. It's a test only center so you can be sure he's not going to try and get you to perform unnecessary repairs. My son and I were doing some repairs on one of our vehicles, which required the battery to be disconnected. This reset the emissions readiness of the vehicle, and the onboard computer needed to evaluate the vehicle under certain driving conditions. Fernando explained what needed to be done, and my son completed the hoops and we got back in for the smog check. I definitely recommend this place!

I guess when your car hits 8 years, the first smog needs to happen and coincided just shy of 8 years *eye roll* I was in the area and came across Hayward Auto Care (HAC). STAR certified location which i realized (later) is overkill for my low-mileage and maintained vehicle. I was told up front the cost (was a bit surprised) and in hindsight, should've gone to a regular Smog Check location. Yes, I should've done my homework beforehand (failed) and paid more for convenience. Completed in 20mins. I would consider returning for other services.
