We had been meaning to try this spot since it opened and finally made it in on one of our day dates! Oh my goodness, I knew it would be good, but it surpassed my expectations. I got a mixed variety of their tacos - al pastor definitely being the winner! The menu is way more unique than I expected and it's hard to choose what to get. The gal working the front was super helpful. Next, I will try one of their burritos. Their chips, salsas, and beans were also delish. We will absolutely be back soon. It was super clean as well! First time in and definitely wont be the last. Ordered the Papas tacos entree, these tacos are so dang good! The taco shells are gently fried. The potatoes are almost a mashed consistency and i love that rather than cubes. The beans were delicious and come in a cute cup. The salsas are perfect, seasonings, flavor, everything! Medicore Taco place in Town! I loved how clean it looked and also the interior so refreshing compaired to the taco boys. Taco boys always a bit feel hotter and heptic. But the taco boys flavor is better since they make their meat a lot more fresh. They have more customers so.. and cucumbers count. This place offer great seafood option. Loved the crispy fish tacos. Wow first impressions are everything, right? First walk in, it's somehow light and bright inside despite it being a rare rainy day in Phoenix. Warmly greeted with patience as I mulled over the menu for the first time. I asked for a recommendation as I was torn between the huarache and corn quesadillas fritas and I am happily satisfied after trying the tinga (chicken) corn quesadillas fritas! Authentic flavors and one of the best tingas I've had. Touch of heat but not overwhelming spicy. The jalapeños add a nice kick as well without being overpowering. There is also a fresh salsa bar. The chip salsa and verde are favorites but the roasted salsa really compliments the meal, too. I had to get a cucumber, lime, mint drink. So refreshing. Everything was clean and showing solid signs of proper sanitation practices. Seating area is simple yet inviting. Staff were all warm and friendly, sorry to say I didn't ask their names. My favorite Mexican food in the valley. We dine here at least weekly. Tonight when we went, we went back to the counter and ordered thirds because it's that good. They use the most gourmet ingredients (charred jalapeños, bacon, etc.) and have a selection of incredible homemade salsas and toppings. Get the JT Urban Steak taco - you won't regret it. We had the rolled tacos, birria tacos, nachos de asada, birria ramen, and the Taco chicken salad. To drink we had the most delicious but you need to be prepared for the consistency it's in the thinker side but ask to taste it and they will it's the pumpkin Horchata. Stopped by this place right after landing in Phx. I knew the Tex Mex scene and Taco scene here had to be good. Thankfully, I trusted in yelp again and was not disappointed. I consider myself a taco snob and this was one of my favorite taco experiences ever. The menu was varied and the quality of everything that I ate was excellent. I was not staying all that close to the place, but the reviews drew me in and I will gladly return. I knew I would probably want more food after the first order and I was not wrong. Good tortillas are especially important to me and that is what sets apart a so-so taco shop from a great one. The cashiers were also very nice. I'll be back when I return to Phoenix. read more

We love this place. The family and I just ate there for Taco Tuesday and Happy hour. We had a variety of delicious foods. Grilled chicken nachos, el pastor street tacos, carñitas tacos, JT urban pastor tacos, Chicharron Prensado tacos, Chile Relleno taco, Birria Ramen, and a bunch of $6 delicious margaritas, tequila sunrises, and pink soñoritas. They even threw in one of our tacos for free . The food is well prepared, very flavorful, and comes to the table hot and delicious. The price is extremely reasonable at about $2 a taco and $6 Happy hour drinks. The restaurant is always spotless and clean, the employees are always so happy and accommodating. They always seem to be happy and getting along with each other spreading that vibe across the entire experience. The side bar of peppers, salsas, and pickled onions is a great add on and their jalapeño salsa is amazing. Thank you always for wonderful food, service and an experience. I'm pretty much a regular here because the carne asada tacos are AMAZING! My 100% AZ FAV - hands down. I typically pair my tacos it with a corona but if you're a fan of Horchata,,, you MUST try it here. Seems like it's some kind of family recipe because I've never had anything similar. When in Phoenix you can generally count on good tacos and this place is no exception! I was looking for a good lunch spot on a Saturday afternoon and found this place. Kind of outta the way. The restaurant is really open and clean. The staff are super friendly and accommodating! They've got a great salsa bar with all the fixins! Pickled peppers, onions and of course salsa! I tried the mild, medium and brava (hot). The Brava is definitely on the spicy side but not so much you lose the flavor. Everything was fresh and made to order. I had the Birria, the Chicharron Prensado and a grilled Shrimp Baja. You can get either grilled or fried shrimp. All were very flavorful and well presented. Atmosphere was clean and service was great. The tacos for Tuesday were a little ummm not meaty for fish. I liked all the toppings & you could choose what toppings you liked based on menu- cabbage, mango, pico, black beans, etc., & you could add more with their condiment bar but the protein was lacking. I wanted fish tacos which I got but it was a few pieces like a kids meal portion & the flavor wasn't as how it looked? It looked flavorful but it just had a chili hot spice to it but I couldn't taste much seasoning. Everything else seemed spot on. I don't know if I would try it again. Maybe a different fish next time because they offered more fish & more meat. Maybe I'll double up on protein but that'll probably cost more. Took the whole family out for dinner - as we attempt to try different Taco spots in Phoenix and came across this spot. I had the sopes and they were very good, topped off with plenty of cheese and lettuce and the perfect amount of sour cream and fresh avocado. I was a bit disappointed with the presentation of the meals, as they are served in these-oversized round trays. Maybe if the silver tray was filled with a small portion of chips - the meal would appear to be a complete meal. I liked their salsas but nothing really stood out about the extra items in the salsa bar. The black beans lacked flavor but they added chips to the kids meal, so we enjoyed sharing the chips. The service was excellent as the cashier was patient as we figured out the menu. Overall it was a good experience. The establishment is very clean and food was delivered to our table.
