It's also so fun to pick and choose your own beer and pour it yourself. The system they have set up to track this is very cool. First of all, you've never seen anything that has this much mechanical engineering in a draft pub. Whoever designed and built this wooden dispenser, should franchise it to other bars. The dispenser alone is worth the trip just to experience "mechanical engineering" vs the more common electrical engineering used today. As you pour beer from the draft, there are mechanical wooden panels that drop to show the amount of beer dispensed. Instead of seeing an electric LCD, you get to watch actual wooden panels drop as you pour from the tap. You use a small RFID tag that gathers the amount of beer you have poured. As a retired mechanical engineer, I would love to talk to whomever designed and manufactured this "room size" dispenser. Also, beer and ciders were excellent. They even have a "glass washing" station so that you can try just a few oz of a specific beer, then rinse the glass and try a few oz of a different selection. I live in Southern CA. This design would be incredibly successful in So Cal. Hoping that the owners allow franchising to grow this design. read more

Everything about this place is great, from the drinks on tap, to the amazing staff that takes your order. That said, the real stand out is the KJ, James, who does an incredible job leading his karaoke shows on Thursdays and Friday. He is so good at getting the crowd excited, making you feel confident about getting up to the mic, and then using his obvious expertise in audio engineering to make you sound the very best that you can. And that's not even speaking to the fact that he sings beautifully as well! The experience is so differentiated vs. other KJs and is the sole reason that I will be back for his shows whenever I'm available. Just The Tap is lucky to have him and I hope they do whatever they can to make sure his talents stay around for the long haul! read more

I went on Saturday. I was there at 11 when they opened. (Quick tip... Be there when they open can part by the door.) We sat in the space room. We got a 1/2n1/2 pizza. 1/2 Meatza with Pineapple and 1/2 Veggie. I have to say this pizza was awesome. It made most othe pizza joints seem like they all shop the same stores for ingredients. On the Veggie side.... Big fresh mushrooms on the pizza. It was beautiful. The Meatza it was layered, and so beautiful. We took it with us. I finished my 1/2 today. 1 piece I microwaved was good. Checked this place out yesterday, and it was a lot of fun! You can get a whole pizza or buy any pizza by the slice, which is great for those of us who don't like to commit. Pouring your own beer is also great for the same reason. I tried every single item that was on tap, and I shared a slice of the curry chicken pizza. Drink wise, I ended up mixing two of the ciders, which was so delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have board games you can play, pinball, and local artwork up. The swing room was occupied by another party, but that only gives me a reason to come back again. I don't understand the complaints about the prices. The information is very clearly available, and it's not fair that people are leaving bad reviews because they can't math. This place is amazing. I haven't found a similar place that you can "hang out" in downtown. There's couches, a swing room, tables and a big screen, a pinball room, and they are also slowly adding MORE rooms. The pizza is phenomenal and so is the Brazilian food. The beer? I love that I don't have to get a full glass and can have as much or little as I want of each. Somehow their ciders are amazing considering I don't typically love ciders. The staff is always helpful and kind, and there are lots of games to play if you want (from uno and joking hazard to the hook swing game, you'll find numerous things you like!) This is truly the hidden gem of Belltown but it shouldn't be hidden. Check it out and you'll fall in love. Promise. Beer selection was good. Pinball was 75 cents a game which was nice, but oddly no music was playing in that section of the venue and the change machine had no change in it. They are located in a basement so there are no windows. I didn't like that I could not find a clearly labeled alternative exit besides the way I came in. I got turned around on the way out after visiting the restrooms. I didn't buy any food so can't review that. The website did list that all ages were allowed, still I was disappointed they allowed kids here since the place looks sophisticated with all the woodwork. It's a cool and fun place to go in Belltown seattle. We had a few beers from the beer wall, and the coolest thing about it was that we didn't have to order a whole pint to taste lots of different beer types. There you pay by the ounce and the more high-end beers we just got to taste it one or two ounces, since we are not crazy drinkers. And then we tried 8 or 9 beers and didn't drink that much. It was really fun! We booked the glow in the dark swing room and hung out for a couple hours. They had a lot of beers on tap you could pour yourself and it had a sort of AirTag attached to your card that charged you. Prices aren't really listed but you can ask. Absolutely loved this place! They just opened up and have a great selection of taps on. The entrance is a little hidden but past the gate, through the door and down the hall you'll find a little check-in bar desk where you can get your key fob. Once you go over to the taps you hang your fob on the hook and your tap will light up, allowing you to pour. Fobs do have a limit of I think 32oz before you have to check back in and get a new one, I believe to control the amount and rate of consumption. There were several seating rooms and while I did find the separation of rooms odd, I think it allows you to sort of select your experience. They have a great pizza selection, and it's somehow also a Brazilian steakhouse. There's a wall of games, a swing room, and a piano. I think they're still finding their groove but overall we love the idea for this place and can't wait to see how they settle in. read more
