We had a group gathering at King Leroy since it is very close to Amazon It is actually located right next to the Amazon Spheres in downtown Seattle. Frankly speaking, it is really not an ideal place for a big group because there isn't a separate area for large parties. The layout is a bit odd too as it seems to share space with a burger shop. And that makes the atmosphere a little confusing. When it comes to food, the menu does not offer much variety. Most of the dishes taste like typical American bar food that's been prepped and reheated. Nothing stood out, and I probably would not come here just for the food unless it is convenient for meeting Amazonians since it is on the first floor of one of their buildings. The highlight of the visit was definitely the drinks. Their house cocktails were excellent. I tried the Hibiscus Paloma, which was really good, but the standout was the Lavender French. I know lavender drinks are popular these days, but this one was VERY AMAZING. I'd actually come back to King Leroy just for that cocktail.

Love king leroy, we come here whenever we visit seattle. Hours, I will say can be hit or miss unfortunately. But yeah their drinks are good and they've got Rainier on draught. The food is also very delicious, I like the nachos with pulled pork protein. They always have good music and the game or movies on.

Right in the heart of Amazon SLU, King Leroy has a trying to dive bar feel to it, except it's clean, has huge natural light windows and some interesting cocktails. Didn't try any of the food here but it looked good. Bar service is quick and attentive. One tip: it may look big but the acoustics of this place is loud, so keep that in mind.

    Mold in Jell-O shot

I wish I could give zero stars, but unfortunately, that's not an option. Our visit to this restaurant was memorable for all the wrong reasons. First off, the bartender served us a tasting and literally didn't know there was alcohol in one of the drinks he gave us. Not exactly confidence-inspiring when it comes to the service. Then it got even worse: we ordered three jello shots and, incredibly, two of them arrived with actual mold on top. The third wasn't any better because instead of a jello shot, we got a ketchup packet. Yes, you read that right--a ketchup packet. Needless to say, we didn't stick around to see what else could go wrong. Proceed at your own risk if you're considering dining here!

We came to King Leroy for happy hour which ends at 6p. The wings are really good. I got my wings with the buffalo sauce and it was great. It's only 6 swings, so we also got the tater tots. The tots are decent, but not super filling - probably wouldn't order them again with just two people, but would be good to get for the table with a lot of people. Great value especially at happy hour. Quick and easy, order at the bar and they bring food to you.

Wings were way over cooked and half burnt. Their saving grace was the super nice cashier/ waitress/ bartender .

I went to King Leroy on a weekend evening, and every weekend there is an all day happy hour. This means that the chicken wings and tater tots (along with cauliflower wings) are half off, and I ordered the chicken wings with buffalo sauce and tater tots with habanero honey sauce. I thought the wings were nice and crispy but still retained good flavor and were juicy. The buffalo sauce seemed to have more of a vinegar flavor, so I wasn't the biggest fan of it. The tater tots were also crispy, and I enjoyed the habanero honey because it was more sweet than spicy. I really appreciated how the food came with moist towelettes. King Leroy has a very casual setting, but it's still good for conversation. You order at the bar counter and can sit down at one of the booths or barstools. There is limited booth seating, but the barstools at the counter were comfortable and had back support. It is 21+ and you're expected to show your ID at the bar counter right when you walk in.

True what they say, service isn't particularly friendly unless they know you. But otherwise, a chill spot to post up for a beer or some bar food in an otherwise very tech overrun area. You can order a burger from next door and bring it over. A+ Seattle decor.

Of all the pub style places in the area (I.e., SLU, Belltown, etc.) I have liked this one the best by a long shot. They have a diner feel with the decor like the vinyl seats and jukebox, but still modern enough. Very clean and tidy. The HH specials were also better than usual with the half priced food and several discounted drinks. Many NA cocktails too! We thought the food was well done and super reasonable with the HH prices. Lots of vegetarian options and vegan ones. The cauliflower wings were a HUGE portion like they gave me a whole head of cauliflower so definitely for sharing or hungry hungry hippos occasions. Mine was the latter so I was happy and enjoyed the honey habeñero sauce. The bartender was super friendly and helpful and checked IDs at the door, which was nice too. Also this spot is dog friendly indoors and we enjoyed greeting our fellow pooch patron on the way out. Would definitely come back!

Good spot for happy hour. Prices are a bit wild but I'm guessing that's due to being located in Amazon HQ area.

We used the small tasting glasses to try a variety of their offerings and look forward to coming back for more! The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

The…read moreambiance here is intimate and the music isn't too loud which is great while sipping some beers. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

One of the best bottle shops in the country!…read more I've had many of Bottleworks' anniversary beers in the past because they always team up with stellar breweries to make them.. but before today I have never visited the famous shop. It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! The staff are very knowledgeable about beer and are very hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!
