i won't bore you with details but we've been using Mark and his crew going on 4 years now. twice a year. today, that ends. as everyone knows, we had a pretty severe storm in dallas recently and we needed servicing. almost 3 weeks later and being pushed back twice, his SECONDARY crew came out and spoke to me like they were doing me a favor. Christian (i assume his lead) had to be the most condescending pos i've ever dealt with. tried to charge me $800 to trim back 1 tree. then goes on to tell me that the tree was not trimmed properly before. strange.... YOU WERE THE PREVIOUS TRIMMERS. i read a review stating they only care about commercial and large properties, which makes total sense. if you're a homeowner, don't bother with these guys unless you like being ripped off and treated like you're redheaded stepchild. read more

Called and spoke to Mark re clearing a huge fallen tree from recent storm that was lying on my lawn and had to be cut up and placed on curb for pick up. Christian came next morning gave me a quote to do work and said they could do it immediately. I was so pleased to have it done right away and his team got to work. Mark is great! Great price, great communication. He came and gave us a very fair estimate. Scheduled us and agreed to the service. In the meantime, I asked for a leveling off of a smaller tree, which we scheduled for Thursday while we waited for the June date for the large oak. His crew ended up coming on Thursday and taking care of the large tree, and not the small one. When I called him about it, he admitted that he had forgotten about the small one and had not written it down. Nonetheless, the large tree looked amazing and was brought up from the street and off of my roof. He agreed to send his crew over to take care of the small tree at no charge. They cleaned up after themselves and left no branches behind. I highly recommend them. read more

Great tree service. We used him earlier this year to prepare for storm season. He was so easy to work with and his crew did a great job and clean up. In October 2016, I needed a tree removed from my front yard that was causing problems. I got six bids for the work. Mark's wasn't the lowest priced but was close and was in-line what I felt the work was worth. Some bids were for literally twice the price. His tree guys were fast, efficient, and professional. They even cut my tree up to firewood size logs and carried them to my side yard and stacked them! His stump grinder guy came out a few days later to grind the stump down. I did get some shoots come back up in May 2017. I called Mark who had his stump guy come out and finish off the couple of roots that didn't die from the first grinding. I did a lot of research including calling references. I am very happy with the work that was performed and will continue to use Just Trees in the future. read more

Mark came out to give us an estimate on our large cottonwood that was out of control. His estimate was the best we had received, and he is very knowledgeable regarding how much we could trim safely without risking the trees health. Disappointing. Mark is a solid Arborist. Knows his stuff. His company favors the corporate jobs because they mean more money. If he quotes your job at less than $500 - expect to get stood up... several times. His guys No-Showed on me three times after Mark promised they would absolutely make it this third time. read more

His fee was a fair price and we scheduled a date for trimming. Mark's crew were on time and trimmed the branches efficiently and correctly. His crew worked diligently and professionally. I have used Mark Whittlich with Just Trees for many years. When his firm provided my annual maintenance of tree trimming, his employees did NOT remove a large branch of a tree. I brought that to Mark's attention and said "he would have the branch removed". Months past with no branch removal, unfortunately the branch in question fell, damaging my fence and pool equipment. Lots of money to repair! Mark talks good game but, doesn't write anything down. Won't use him again! read more

Extremely pleased with the service provided by Just Trees. We called Mark in September to have our two Red Oaks cut back. He came by the following day and left a detailed estimate on our front door. Happy with the pricing, I immediately called to schedule service. He stated he was booked solid for a few weeks but placed us on his schedule for October 25th. He called the 24th to confirm and again, the morning of service, to let me know the crew would arrive before 9am. After their prompt arrival, they quickly went to work moving all our potted plants and outdoor furniture out of harms way. They cut, cleaned up, and raked away the remaining debris. Finally, they moved every plant and piece of furniture back to their original locations. Our trees were evenly cut and I was given the opportunity to look over the work. The crew gave me the bill and stated I could simply call Mark to pay with a card. The next day I paid over the phone (Mark uses Square) which made things simple. He even took our Amex, yeah for points!!! We'll definitely be using Mark and Just Trees in the future. read more
