Dr. Robinson has a much different style of treatment and "bedside" manner. I felt heard and believe that he will do what we discussed. Change isn't easy, but after 3 changes in Dr. Murphy's practice, I had to accept that it was time for a new PCP.

I was a patient of Dr. Landfield's for years, and my experience with this office has deteriorated…read moreto the point that I'm done. The office charges a $1,000 annual administrative/concierge fee, yet I have not seen Dr. Landfield in roughly a year. During that time, the office didn't even manage to reschedule my annual physical after it needed to be moved. I eventually started obtaining my prescription elsewhere because dealing with refills through this office had become unnecessarily difficult and unreliable. At this point, all I really wanted from Dr. Landfield was a competent annual physical. I told the office very plainly that I could not justify paying $1,000 every year for what effectively amounts to one physical. I even offered a perfectly reasonable alternative: put me on the calendar for a physical this December, let me pay for the visit through the normal process, and we could go from there. Their response was remarkably straightforward: Dr. Landfield will not see me unless I pay the $1,000 fee. That tells me everything I need to know about the priorities of this practice. What makes the fee particularly difficult to swallow is that my experience with the office has hardly resembled a premium or concierge-level service. I've dealt with administrative mistakes, including something as basic as repeatedly getting my name wrong, problems and delays with prescriptions, and failure to follow through on scheduling. The one thing the office does seem remarkably consistent about is collecting the $1,000 fee. A concierge fee might be defensible if it bought exceptional accessibility, attentive follow-up, flawless administration, or some other meaningful level of service beyond ordinary primary care. That was not my experience. After years as a patient, I was essentially given a choice: pay $1,000 before the doctor will see me for my annual physical, or find another primary care physician. So I'll find another physician. If you are considering this practice, I would strongly recommend asking exactly what the $1,000 annual fee buys you and deciding whether the actual level of service justifies it. In my experience, it absolutely did not.

So I accompanied my elderly mother to see Sally whenever she needed medical attention. Sally is good! She listens, has vast medical experience, thinks deeply as to what is best for THIS patient, is friendly, medically up to date, and gives her patient the full time they need in her office.
