I have found my photographer for LIFE. Seriously. I originally found Justine through Craigslist a few years back when I was looking for someone to shoot my wedding. Her work was amazing, and when I met with her to discuss it in a little coffee shop, she was really cool. I was sold. Things changed on my end a lot with my wedding, and unfortunately, our new date was already booked by someone else (those jerks!) I was SO disappointed to not be able to use her on my wedding day, but I have since had three other shoots instead! My first (and second) shoot with Justine were boudoir sessions, with my best friends. I thought it was going to be all awkward and uncomfortable, but she really does know how to make you relax and have a great time. It was incredibly fun, which is why I went back for another, of course. When I saw the photos, I was blown away. It was me, only, not how I usually see myself. I was sexy. She has a skill that I just cannot explain. Utterly amazing. Since I couldn't get her for my wedding, I at LEAST had to have her for my trash the dress session. A cold November morning for my zombie theme? Heck yeah! She was really excited for the concept, and accommodated getting up so early to be ready for a sunrise shoot on a FREEZING day. The pictures we got were incredible, and again, a total blast! Justine has always ensured she understands exactly what I was hoping to get, she responds quickly to emails, and her company is a huge bonus! My photos have never taken a long time to get back to me, and I already have another shoot booked for a professional headshot. I can't wait to see what we haven't even done yet! Haha! I first found Justine when looking for wedding photographers for a friend. In looking at her portfolio, I saw some Gorgeous boudoir photos. And I thought, "What fun! And what a great anniversary gift!" I emailed back-and-forth with Justine about doing a shoot, the price, how it works, where to do it, all the details. She was so friendly, easy to talk to, and made me feel like I have known her forever. In doing a boudoir shoot, where one may not be exactly comfortable getting half-naked (or completely!) in front of someone they don't know, this was very important. After scheduling my shoot with Justine, a friend of mine won a free boudoir session with Justine (she is always doing fun giveaways on Facebook, find her!). So we arranged to do a double shoot! Justine showed up exactly at the time we discussed (bright and early in the morning to allow plenty of time for photos with both girls). She was SO fun to work with. She even set us up with someone to do our hair and makeup on site. I was excited yet terrified at the same time, but the morning was very laid back, fun, and most importantly, everything was very comfortable. I've worked with Justine both as a model and as her assistant and I've enjoyed every minute of it. She's so professional but so easy going, and it really helps to bring out the best photos she could possibly take. She's very professional, always on time, well-prepared, and very personable. Her pictures show so much color and they vary greatly so it never gets boring! Justine also photographed my wedding and I was so happy with the results. She captured everything I asked her to, and it was like she was barely there! I saw her when I wanted to and she was behind the scenes when I wanted her to be, as well! Let me start by saying I first met Justine when my niece hired her to do our incredibly large family photo. She was so professional and great with everyone ( and may I say there was a lot of us). She handled her business like the pro that she is. So I decided to hire her to do my daughter Alexzandria's Senior shoot at For Williams in Cape Elizabeth. We decided to do a morning shoot (that we had to change the date so many times because of the weather, but for her it was no problem). She corresponded via text messaging and was so great about everything and we were there just before sunrise. She arrived ready to shoot and move. The photos that she shot were AMAZING!!!! She was very prompt with her editing the photos and getting them up on her site for us to view and shortly after, arrived the BRILLIANTLY completed disc for us to choose the perfect picture for Alex's yearbook and to give to family and friends. Justine is an amazing find. I've had 3 shoots with her (engagement, wedding, and boudoir), and she has rocked every one. She gets just as excited about your event as you are, and that enthusiasm comes through in all of her interactions. She's upfront about pricing, and her rates are a steal. I especially love the 'teaser' photos she shares the day after the shoot, to help tide you over until the full edited set is ready. The quality of the photos is fantastic! The colors are more vivid than any photos I've seen before. She's also great at capturing the little moments between the big ones, which is a key quality for me. I first learned of Justine through Facebook. Her page was a suggested to me and I decided to glance through some of her photos. I was more then impressed. I knew instantly that this was the person I wanted to contact about having head shots done for myself. As a musician head shots are very important to have on hand and also to show not only yourself but read a little into your own personality. I drove from southern ma up to Maine to meet/shoot with Justine. She was very curious and friendly and had so many amazing ideas for what I was looking for. I looked for a photographer to take my senior pictures for weeks before I came across Justine Johnson Photography. I saw some of her samples of other seniors and other occasions and completely loved her work. Justine is so professional and talented, she really knows what she's doing an she was more then happy to come to wherever I was. I wanted to have fun while taking my pictures and I can honestly say I had a blast! Justine is fantastic! I had Justine photograph some of my handcrafted jewelry pieces - we actually did a barter where I traded a somewhat pricey piece of jewelry for a few hours of her precious photography time. We met at Portland Head Light, where she photographed a model wearing my jewelry with the ocean as the backdrop (as the model balanced patiently and precariously on the jagged rocks). The photos turned out just beautiful and Justine was an extreme pleasure to work with - very professional, easy-going, willing to try lots of different ideas....just wonderful! Where to begin? Justine is amazing!! I was absolutely thrilled to be able to work with her. I was lucky enough to have a Boudoir photo shoot with Justine and not only did she make me feel comfortable, but we had tons and tons of fun! Justine is fantastic! She took monthly photos of our son, Bruno, during his first year, and she has taken his photos ever six months since his first birthday. Justine has a super-busy schedule, but she's always able to find a great time for us to meet up. She has come to our home and we've gone to hers - everything is convenient. Justine has an ability to capture Bruno at his Bruno-est. Her expertise is certainly in wedding photography, but she has a total knack for infant/toddler shots, too.
