I'm a little late with my review but I have to share my experience. I hired Justin for a little over a year ago (got married 04/05/19) to be my DJ at my wedding. I read great things about him so I was really excited, and he was the first vendor we booked! I got a chance to look over his website and saw that what he had to offer was everything we wanted in a DJ. It was good to find someone who offered options and was flexible on letting the bride & groom choose all of their own music. Closer to the wedding I would receive emails on details that we needed to provide like our timeline and our package choices. It was good to get correspondence since I was super busy with planning. We ended up going with the uplights, bogo monogram and the dancing on a cloud. A few days before the wedding I was able to finally meet with Justin at my venue. It was so great to be able to get feedback from him and suggestions on our set-up. He made us feel so comfortable to leave everything in his hands. We went over the timeline and music again and he also asked for pronunciations of the wedding party which I truly appreciated. Our wedding day was beautiful! Justin had everything running smoothly. The music was perfect and he did a wonderful job announcing our party into the reception. He also did an amazing job with our lights and the dancing on the clouds. It was like a dream! DJ Justin at first seems like a normal corporate event DJ which, I admit concerned me because it is hard to determine how much a DJ is a fan of a particular type of hiphop and what type of Latin he will play without yourself being an expert. So I asked a groomsman, who blatantly promotes his past MC-ing company, to also interview him. They hit it off immediately on Big Pun and El Gran Combo hits. So we chose DJ Justin (we were going to choose him anyway ;) We provided DJ Justin a specific list of must play, great to play and do not play songs as he requested. He delivered perfectly with ZERO audio issues! Great sound system. DJ Justin even scratched to 'Eve - Let Me Blow Ya Mind' which caught the dance floor off guard but kept everyone on the floor despite a chilly night and competition from the cake, bar and taco vendor. In addition to the music, when you are planning your own wedding you really want a professional business person to be accessible and responsive with guidance. DJ Justin is all of this. He even drove 3 months in advance of the wedding, 2.5 hours from home, to scope out the location. Who does that?! He coached us on program content and was even willing to make a mix tape to perfectly capture a song mix between the groom's and bride's isle entrance. Due to the Napa fires in late Oct, our venue was scheduled to have their electricity cut. DJ came prepared with a back up generator ready to go. Responsive, polite, punctual, and awesome. These are the words I would use to describe Justin. I teach 6th grade, and I was sent a text last Wednesday (02/08/17) from a fellow teacher asking if I knew of anyone who could DJ our middle school dance on 02/16/17. I didn't, but I knew that if I hopped on to Yelp, I'd be able to find someone. I sent messages to a few different DJs, and Justin responded within minutes. He called me, he ran through the specifics, and even though a week's notice was cutting it close, he was available to DJ. Things I loved: 1. He is QUICK with the whole email thing. I LOVE it when people are responsive, quick, and true to their word. He said he'd send me a proposal within 30 minutes, and he delivered before that. 2. His library is digital and special requests can be sent to him in advance. 3. He told me right off the bat that for middle school dances he played clean music only and avoids suggestive songs. I didn't even have to ask. That was GREAT to know. Parents want to know that they can send their child to a dance without having to worry about what they will be dancing to. 4. On the day of the dance he showed up early, got everything set up, and was super professional. 5. We got minimal lighting, but it was still great! The kids loved the lighting. 6. He played dance hits all night. Kids were so excited about everything Justin played. 7. Justin was flexible. I know it's annoying to have people come up and pester you while you're playing, but Justin was able to add a few special requests from kids to the playlists. One of my students said, "OMG! Honestly, our wedding will never be the same without Justin and his team. I am so glad that we picked Justin to be our wedding DJ. First and foremost, he has worked for other weddings in our venue, for sure his team is very knowledgeable about the setup so we don't need to worry about a thing. So this review is long overdue but Justin was our DJ for our wedding in August and he was absolutely amazing. I found him on yelp and requested a quote. He got back to very quickly and was so professional and relatable. He had the most humble and kind attitude. He totally understood the stress that came with planning a wedding and asked what it was that was important to me and helped to decide which package would fit our needs. He then had me talk with him about what type of music I would like played for the reception. I am horrible with things like this. I told him we would like a good mix for the older generations and the younger generation for the wedding party. WOW!! I'm writing this on my honeymoon, because I couldn't wait to write a review. I can't stop thinking about what a BLAST our wedding was, thanks to Justin and crew! Justin blew my expectations out of the water. He answered every question I had (as a first time bride with very little knowledge about how these things work) and guided me every step of the way. I was stoked from the beginning when I realized I could bundle a photo booth, DJ, and lighting in a single package. And it just got better the further we got into planning. He has the coolest online program where I could add songs and notes whenever ideas came to mind, he had brilliant ideas for our photo booth template (and serious design skills!), AND he kept close contact up to the day of the wedding. At that point, I knew Justin had it all handled and I could just sit back and enjoy the show! The actual night of the event... that is, again, where the WOW comes in. Justin kept things flowing perfectly, from cocktail hour with smooth romantic jams, to food and speech announcements, to the epic dance party. Maybe it was Justin himself rocking power dance moves as he played jam after jam, but I know for sure EVERYONE loved him.
