Had a really great experience here aside from the shampoo beds. I had never seen this at any salon before. It wasn't any more or less comfortable than a normal chair except for the back of my head was pressed into the edge of the metal sink while my stylist was shampooing and it was a little painful and is still sore. read more

This is by far my favorite Juut Salonspa in the Cities. Although it is a little out there, you will not be disappointed. It is very quiet and serene and the decor is beautiful. They have great coloring and the stylists/colorists are very friendly. They also have shampoo beds, which take a little getting used to (don't wear a skirt for maximum comfort), but they definitely won't leave you with a sore neck from the old shampoo bowls. read more

I hadn't been to this salon in years, until last week when I was in desperate need of a last-minute brow wax. I walked-in without an appointment, expecting to be turned away. Instead, they were incredibly accommodating, and booked me within about 10 minutes. They booked me with Edwin, whom they described as "the brow guru," only after confirming that his slightly higher price of $35 was okay with me. I sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes, and then he was ready for me. The facial waxing station is less luxurious than the private rooms they used to have, but it didn't matter...My appointment took less than 10 minutes, and Edwin truly showed himself deserving of the "guru" title the front desk had given him. My brows look better than they ever have, and I'd go back to Edwin a thousand times. Thanks Edwin for the great brows, and JUUT for the great service!! read more

I recently saw Amanda for a polar wrap and massage and it.was.amazing! I had been feeling under the weather for a few months, not really sick but not really well. I knew that this service was great for detoxification and thought that it might help kick start my immune system. And I was right! Amanda is sweet, kind and gentle with both her way of being and with the actual service she gives. She gave me a thorough consultation to find out why I was in and why I chose the service I did. She talked me through what the entire 2 hour service would entail so that I was prepared for everything. The immediate cold of the polar wrap is startling to say the least - but she took great care of getting me wrapped up quickly and I warmed right up. Literally in minutes. For this service you are wrapped up and warmed up for about an hour, during which time Amanda massages your scalp/neck and your feet, encouraging hte detoxification and relaxation process. I can't tell you how much you feel like you are zoning out and are just slightly aware of what is happening. The relaxation is deep. Once that is complete you are assisted into a robe while they change over the room and then you begin your hour massage. Amanda quietly checked on comfort and pressure during the service to make sure I was good. She even focused on my neck, shoulders and upper back, where I was feeling the bulk of my illness. And low and behold, the illness that was nagging at me, was no more. I felt a thousand times better! I highly recommend both the polar wrap service and the lovely Amanda for your next service. Welcoming front desk, friendly service. I highly recommend Tammy for brow waxing. I have sensitive skin and typically look awful for the first 24 hours after a wax. Tammy worked some magic and I barely reacted. She is really a professional and my brows look great. My only complaint is that the first time I visited I received a lovely hand massage while I waited for my hair to process. They didn't clarify that it was something only for first time guests, but it must be because it's never happened since. The salon is expensive, but the products, service, and staff are terrific. read more

I typically fly back to Los Angeles to get my haircut, but one of my friends recommended Juut so I just went for it. I had an appointment with Ashley. I'm so disappointed in this place now. I have been a regular customer for a year, going to the uptown location before that. I had gone in for a hair color consultation with Shanna (?) a few weeks ago and she was busy so she "booked me" with somebody else. When I turned up for my appointment today, turns out I didn't have an appointment. To make matters worse, I got tremendous attitude from her - She loudly and arrogantly said "I don't book appointments" when she had been standing at the computers and telling me which other stylists had appointments available when - I don't care who makes the actual appointment, if you tell me it's booked, I'll believe you. The receptionist was really apologetic but it didn't help that it took me 20 minutes to rebook an appointment as she couldn't remember that I had asked for the next 5.30 appointment and kept suggesting afternoon appointments Really I'm just mad that I've made the effort to rush in and i had to face such attitude from Shanna and there was no hint of an apology - she was just SO incredibly rude and arrogant!! read more

disappointed. i have gone to this salon several times through the years and the last time I was here may be my last. I am not usually high maintenance about who does my hair but I will be more picky the next time I come here. I spoke with Alicia, who was very pleasant and helpful, to make my appointment. She really took the time to place me with the appropriate colorist as I had a few questions. I was looking for someone with some experience and good ideas and she placed me with a master. When I arrived Yazmin? checked me in and showed me around and offered me a wonderful cup of the aveda tea and a robe. She even offered to do my makeup if I was available and had time after my service. Color me impressed so far. The salon waiting area was clean and had a beautiful fireplace and plenty of room to sit and relax. I particularly enjoyed the new video screens and all the new and exciting things that are going on in fashion and hair. Unfortunately my experience began to go downhill from here. My 'master' colorist was quite late in getting me started with our appointment. She listened to my concerns and questions but seemed a bit disinterested. She left and took quite some time to mix up my color (over 15 minutes!!!) . When she returned she slapped on that color so fast I began to worry that perhaps she was in a hurry to get to another client being as how we were already 30 minutes into my service. After the color was applied she seemed to disappear. She never gave me a estimate as to when I would be done with my processing and so I sat for what seemed like a long time. I was looking at my watch at well over 45 minutes when I began to worry about when she would come back to get me. When she finally arrived she seemed really out of it and at times slurred her words and seemed off balance. I wondered why she was acting the way she was as it was quite obvious she wasn't quite all 'there'. Maybe she had a long day and was just tired. She quickly whisked me to the shampoo bed and was quite fast with the shampoo which wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped since it is my favorite part of getting my hair colored. Also my finish was lacking the usual pizzazz that I expect from the stylists here. I've always had such great luck with everyone which is why I come here but maybe it was just an off day with my chosen colorist. I will come back but I will also make sure I don't get this person to do my hair again!!! read more

If you want a great facial - Margarey is the best! I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin and it feels amazing after a facial here - not irritated or broken out at all. I have had the worst experience of my life in this salon. I went to get lowlights for my hair. My hair is light to darker brown. Colorist Abbey suggested I did balayage, so I agreed. I specifically told her that I wanted dark color to be warm brown. I ended up with BLACK low lights. Black with no hint of any warmth. I have not looked worse in my entire life! There at the salon, I started crying. As I was visibly upset, my colorist ( with manager of the salon standing next to her) suggested that I put some concealer under my eyes so I don't look as pale. ( !!!!!ha??) The sad part about this whole experience is not that colorist made a mistake, its how the manager and JUUT in general handled the situation. Manager Nicole was very unwilling to help. Yes, she offered a redo....maybe a week from now since its Christmas season for them. I am sorry, Its Christmas season for me as well and now I look horrible. And there was no way I would go to work on Monday looking like that. After endless conversation with her, she gave me 50 %off the service. Since she made no effort to schedule and appointmnet or check on other Juut salons for appointments over the weekend, I had to go pay another $200 to my regular hairdresser who had to fix my hair. My hair right now is very damaged and it will take a long time for it to go to what I had before I walked into JUUT. I then contacted Juut in St. Paul and downtown minneapolis to at least get a treatment from them since my hair is now so damaged. Both said they wouldnt do it and they wouldnt work on my hair becuase now " integrity of my hair might be compromised". I think anyone who walks into JUUT and willing to pay high prices for the services expects results, otherwise I could just walk into Target and get a box of color. I regret the day I walked into that salon to get my hair done. It cost me at this point $300 for the repair work and what I have payed to JUUT. To anyone who thinks about going to JUUT - its great if you end up happy with your results, and I am sure that there are great colorists who work at JUUT. However, If you ever end up in my situation, dont expect JUUT to go out their way to fix the problem they created. read more

If you are looking for a facial, Nathalie at the Wayzata Juut will raise the bar compared to whatever you've had in the past. I cannot impart how wonderful Nathalie is as an artist and a person. I've never felt such intention and care along with a facial as I received from Nathalie. She has a warmth about her, and makes you feel welcome from minute one. I felt that she was legitimately interested in my feedback as to what I was hoping to get out of the facial. She has a healing touch, and I found myself out cold half way through, I was so relaxed. I left my facial feeling more relaxed than I have from some massages, and my skin looked great. I will definitely be back, and recommend her to EVERYONE. read more

I've was a JUUT Downtown Mpls customer for many years but switched to the Wayzata JUUT when I moved to the area a year ago. The stylists/service providers are good but the front desk staff lacks basic customer service skills and struggles to make appointments, especially if you want more than one service. It takes 10 to 20 minutes just to make an appointment and yesterday I arrived for my services very disappointed to find out they were scheduled on a different day. It could be my mistake but I'm not available on the day they scheduled so I don't think I would have agreed. I didn't receive any advance confirmation text, e-mail or call to correct the issue in advance. This used to be standard procedure. If I had a direct line to my service providers I would go back in a heartbeat but getting through the rude front desk staff to get to them is not worth the trouble. read more

This place is pricey, I don't have a problem with spending money on any quality product or service but I find that the quality if services here vary widely by stylist. Most I have met are not too friendly but I am alright with that as long as my hair looks great. The last time I visited I had a very unpleasant experience, my all over color was done by Gretchen who did a good job but did not speak to me at all during the service. My cut was particularly troubling, Shae (?) was my stylist, a junior one. Previously I had only had master level cuts but I was indifferent as I wanted a time to fit into my schedule. She was very friendly in contrast to Gretchen however, gave me the worst haircut of my entire life. She seemed to not know what she was doing and kept trimming off more and of my long hair in the effort of making her work even, the worst part was the front of my hair where she cut very short and uneven bangs that made me look like I had chewed them off myself. I was clearly I satisfied but after her attempts to fix this yielded no results she simply finished styling me and walked me to the front with trimmings stuck to my face. I was clearly unhappy with the cut. I spoke to the woman at the counter and told her of my experience, she then said that she would schedule me an appointment with a master stylist at no cost, I agreed and scheduled it for the next month as I was leaving the country the following morning for the month. When I returned into the US I found a voicemail saying that I would not be able to see a master stylist, only a studio unless I wanted to pay for one. Well needless to say I am now terrified of their studio stylists and did not want to fork over anymore cash after the almost 200 dollars I had already dropped there just to leave wanting to cry. I am a premed student who is obviously low on cash so any money I choose to spend is expected to yield great results. Because of the difficulty of finding a quality salon I am debating on making another appointment with a different stylist and colorist however if I am less than pleased after that I will not return. read more
