I have been a customer of Juvia for over 10 years! Skye and the entire staff are amazing! Patient, informative, and excellence can be seen in every aspect of their medical spa! Everyone at this place is amazing. They are always friendly and welcoming when you get there. The rooms for different treatments are always sanitized and clean. They try their hardest to work with you when you need to schedule appointments. They came in an hour early on a day just to squeeze me in. That's great customer service! I have gotten a few services here, and overall I have been pleased. The prices are comparable to other spas in area, and I have been happy with most services. I did have a photo facial once that did not live up to precious experiences I have had. The esthetician did not seem to be patient or understanding when it was super painful. Misty the injector injected in the wrong muscle causing right facial paralysis. Now I can't talk correctly or smile. Her recommendation for correction was micro needling and massage; neither is an effective treatment for correction of badly placed Dysport. When I called to report she said " this is why I don't like injecting the lower face". I wish she had told me that before causing paralysis. read more

I'm changing my review of this location from Good to RIPOFF!Don't go here. They do not stand behind what they do and how they do it. JuviaMedSpa is ripping off their customers and knowingly causing it to be painful. Here's what happened. Since I had already purchased a non refundable Groupon. And after more than 2 weeks of having 40 units used, it barely looks like anything was done. So I wrote an email and called twice to complain about the situation. I'm finding that the Manager, Sky is ducking my phone calls and ignoring my email. Clearly, JuviaMedSpa doesn't care. So, don't use this place. Not even with a Groupon should you waste your money. They do not stand behind anything they do. It's scary to think that a serious product like botox is being used and this company's ownership doesn't seem to want to know about it. That's a huge red flag. If you have ever had botox injections before you know it doesn't really hurt. Its no big deal to be injected if all is right. However, when I had it done at JuviaMedSpa-April 2019, I felt like my face was being attacked by hornets. Something was not right for it to hurt this much. This visit was horrible. Because even after I left, the pain lingered on for about an hour. Any place I had been injected felt horrible. The best way to describe it is if you have ever been stung by a bee. Now imagine a bee and his friends lining up to sting you in several places on your face that are close together on sensitive tissue. And even before this stinging/burning sensation started to lessen, the next spot is selected and another burning spot is activated. Horrible! When I was finished I commented to both the injector and the front desk about this horrible experience. I did my best not to cry, but my face felt like it was on fire in spots. Nothing about this procedure even remotely resembled other times I've had Botox. Was it a bad batch of botox? Kind of hard to ask if it's a bad batch of poison. Or did the injector inject incorrectly, or was something else not right, ethical and or done correctly at this appointment? During the process I did actually have to ask the injector to wait a minute so I could catch my breath. The pain was that intense for me. The injector even told me that others had complained that day of the same thing. She said, "That maybe it's the mix that's causing this." When I said I wasn't familiar with mixing it, she told me that botox is mixed to reduce how strong it is. Then she went on to say that maybe the "sodium" wasn't good or it had effected it some how. A few minutes later she said maybe it was the size of the needles. I did want to cry when I realized she only had finished one syringe and had one full one left. Finally, when we were close to the end, I asked how many more injections/spots left? She said five. But after two she just stopped and quickly threw away what was left in the syringe. Im sure it wasn't due to the fact she had gotten all the locations/spots, but due to how much pain it was causing me. Part of me says she was looking out for me and the other part says something was really, really wrong with the whole process. Either way I know I didn't get the full 40 units. I wasn't going to complain about it until Sky/manager decided to just duck and ignore all my ways of contact. Once I was done, I did advise the front desk what happened. I was told, "no worries-if you need to come back in for a touch up-just let us know." After calling I find that a "touch up" is just another way of them taking more money from you. I would completely agree that if I had purchased 20 units and really needed 40-then I should be charged. But if I got 40, and even in places where I know she injected, you can't tell anything was done. Between my eyes I have a crease, and the injector did one there and many in my hairline. It made no sense. Anyway, once home I looked up information on botox and mixing. The article I read said that botox is mixed, but only should be mixed with "sterile saline." And if botox is mixed with any type of sodium product it makes botox less effective. The sodium also creates a stinging sensation when injected. Basically the article described almost exactly what I experienced. This article pointed out by using a sodium mixing product, the effects of the botox won't last near as long or be as effective, thus causing patients to get more botox done and more often. The article went on to state that if you do not see the injector prepare the product in front of you, this is a red flag. The article then went on to describe the correct way. You don't have to take my word for how ineffective botox is if mixed with a sodium product, or how it can causing a stinging/burning sensation too. Just look it up yourself and you too will find out what a rip off this place is. read more

They will ask you to do follow ups and when they find that their treatment failed, instead of offering any solutions they will charge you even more for touch ups. Terrible service. Poor results. Purchased a Groupon (20 units of botox) for my mom. They had no availability month after month, never returned calls, and it took her 4 months to be seen. The Dr then tells my mom that she'll see more results with 32 units (12 more units for around $120 extra). My mom has had great results before (at different places) with just 20 units, yet this time she had the same results but paid extra! She felt cheated, and i do too. Never again. read more

I went to this center for botox treatment of my palmar hyperhidrosis and will not go again. I did extensive research on this particular treatment and found that it has almost a 100% success rate. I saw a Groupon for this particular center and decided I would fork out $400 knowing the success rate of the treatment. The doctor gave me 25 units of botox per hand and when the treatment didn't work, gave excuses that the normal treatment is 50 units per hand. Why he gave me 25 when the treatment is usually 50? I do not know. He wanted me to shell out $400 NON-REFUNDABLE dollars for 25 more units after already discussing that the treatment didn't work. DO NOT GO HERE FOR HYPERHIDROSIS. Go to an actual medial professional that knows and understands the condition. Dr. Ahmed clearly does not have the knowledge and experience necessary to understand and fairly treat the condition. Very disappointed and sad that I am out $400 and still have this debilitating condition. read more

The doctor goes over the results you're looking for and gives you ideas of other minor treatments like facials, etc. that could help achieve similar results without being pushy. They handled this beautifully- don't judge Juvia based on something a friend says when they have never been there. The woman was unpleasant and the staff treated her with courtesy. Let me start by saying I have had a lot of Botox and Dysport over the years by many different cosmetic surgeons and injectors at med spas and dermatology offices. I live in downtown Dallas and was gifted 100 units of Dysport to be redeemed at the Colleyville location. I called roughly 3 weeks ago, asked to make an appointment and was seen the next day. Misti was personable and seemed very knowledgeable about the products and how/where to inject. I told her up front that I typically get between 150-160 units of Dysport per treatment. She said we would start a bit slow, so she could see how my muscles react to the injections. If memory serves, we did 120 units that day. She was very clear that if I felt I needed a touch-up, to wait about 14 days, give them a call and she was happy to see me. For anyone not familiar with injectables, I'd like to point out two things. 1) Botox and Dysport take roughly 14 days to fully take affect, so if you think it's not working, that may be true, but maybe it hasn't been long enough, and 2) everyone's face and muscle make-up are different. If you are seeing an injector for the first, second, or even third time, the injector is still getting to know you and your genetic make-up. Let's be VERY clear here, if an injector suggests "starting slow", trust that person. You have to remember when it comes to Botox and Dysport, you can always add, but you CANNOT take away. If you're like me and love to be completely frozen, or if you've never had injections and "think" you want that look, be very careful. I have heard so many stories of people getting injected, and they are not happy with the final result because they are 100% frozen, or, the other I hear often is "well, I'm upset because the injector didn't do what I asked them to and make me frozen". Again, folks, if you're new to injections or to an injector, it takes time. You can always build, but when it comes to injections, it's harder to take away. Just keep that in mind. Anyway, I decided last week that I wanted a touch-up. I called, made by appointment and was seen again today by Misti. She remembered me from 3 weeks ago, we talked about what I wanted to do, and she even stated the risks involved. The risks meaning, she made it very clear that I was going to be FROZEN. That's what I want...not what she wanted. She has never tried to push more on me than I have asked for. I'm a fan and feel like I will be seeing her and the rest of the team regularly. I'm excited to start looking into other procedures as well. Thanks for keeping me looking young Misti! And I feel the need to say this, I have no professional affiliation to Juvia or Yelp. I loved my experience at Juvia. I came in for a photo facial. As I was getting the procedure, I decided to add lazer hair removal, they were able to accomodate me immediately. They put me on an Obage skincare regime. In it includes eye serum, eye cream, spf 50 moisturizer, and retinol medical grade .5!!!! This whole setup has been a game changer!!!! My skin is smooth, fine lines are dissapearing, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I had about 1.5 days of recovery time for the photofacial. As warned, I would appear slightly red, maybe be a little dry as the exfoliation process took place, but all my prior scarring and veins would be less visible. Word of caution, avoid this place at all costs! I purchased a Groupon (laser hair removal) and scheduled an appointment for 11:45 on a Saturday which I confirmed the time before I ended the call. On the day of my appointment which is a 21 mile drive from my home, I arrived at 11:45 and I was asked if I had an appointment. I told the front desk girl "yes I do at 11:45."Two other women arrived at the same time as me, both had a 12pm appointment and both were seen before me. After about a 20 minute wait, the receptionist said my appointment was for 11:15. I advised that "no, I confirmed the time before ending the call yesterday and also had it on my calendar as 11:45." She said they couldn't see me that day. So I said "I am not driving here again for another appointment due to your lack of professionalism and putting the wrong time when I specially repeated my appointment time by phone. She still repeated they couldn't see me on Saturday--even though one of the laser girls was lazily walking by with no client. Plus it was only two women here getting fillers so I know I could have been seen. This would have been my second appointment at this location. I was already reluctant to go here again because the laser hair removal machine is severely outdated. They advertised it as "painless" but I definitely found that out the hard way. I'm not new to laser hair removal so I know what "painless" feels like and that machine isn't it! Anyways back to my story, thank goodness for my status and relationship with Groupon, they refunded my money back to me. Juvia Med Spa, good luck to your business with this lack of customer service and professionalism. If you're considering this place, do some research. You will see that they have changed their name several times due to prior reviews that were pretty bad.
