I heard the bagels here were amazing but unfortunately I don't agree. In my opinion should have that chewy-ness with the crisp exterior - these bagels are very soft, more bread-like. The space is pretty large, plenty of seating. Service, however, is extremely slow. We ordered some bagel sandwiches and they had been ready for a long long time sitting in the window, being ignored and getting cold. They need to light a fire under the front counter staff - they were moving at half speed despite the place being really busy on a Sunday. Two words come to mind . Chaos and disaster. The employees try real hard to take your order and get. It to you. Seems like there's no management here. Everyone running around takes two people to ring you up after ten minutes trying to figure out what you ordered. Shame on JV Bagel's ownership. Thanks for making it difficult for patrons to pull in or out of actual parking spaces! Each of the 3x's I visited this past week, your white Audi made it difficult to get in or out. My Father used to tell his employees, "Please park anywhere as to not make it difficult for guests to get in or out." I came here to kill 30 minutes one rainy afternoon. Bagels smelled amazing, but we came for an afternoon snack. We got a Rice Krispie treat, a pistachio muffin, and a coffee. Coffee was fine. The other two items tasted terrible, even my 3 yr old wouldn't eat them. Also, no one was really there (it was rainy and mid afternoon, so not many people were out and about) and I still had to decide which of the dirty tables I should sit at. I have been going to JV Hot for a while now, but unfortunately the last 3 times in a row they have messed up my order. My favorite breakfast sandwich is ham, egg, and Swiss, and I think they just don't listen when I order. Long story short, it was very disappointing. Apparently strawberry cream cheese doesn't require strawberries or anything strawberry flavored. I'm convinced that it was regular cream cheese with pink food coloring stirred in. I wish I could give this dump a minus stars rating. The coffee sucks, the bagels are tasteless, the prices are too high and the staff needs lessons in customer service. I used to go there a lot and the place started to go downhill when it changed ownership a few years ago. My last visit was when they ripped me off for $6.00 on my gift card. The idiot working the register didn't know how to use my card for payment and wiped out my balance. When I asked to see the owner he said that there was nothing he could do about it. So for $6.00 he lost my business forever and I badmouth this place every chance I get. Do they still have that crabby, nasty woman working the counter weekday mornings?
