Peyton with Nashville Yardscapes worked extremely hard in very uncomfortable heat to rescue my…read morelandscape beds from the poor results of my previous contractor. He hauled off five truckloads of river stone mulch, that I never should have used, treated the beds for grass and weeds, and laid a nice thick coat of black hardwood mulch over a much better quality landscape weed barrier fabric. In my backyard I had a pretty bad drainage problem especially in heavy rains that kept washing some of the mulch away from a bed that already had black mulch unlike the rest of my house that had stone. Peyton dug a trench and put in a large drain and corrugated pipe that seems to have resolved the issue after two very heavy storms since. You can tell in the photo where he did it by the grass seed and straw that he spread over the area. You can also see in the back of the landscape bed the five junipers I had transplanted a couple of years ago. Half of the growth on one of them has died and I may lose the entire shrub. Payton said that that's common for transplants plus the heat has been pretty bad. But he advised me on how I might be able to save it if I treated the roots a couple of times this year with a hormone treatment solution. If it's too late for it I'll just have Payton come back and replace it.

We then asked him to rebuild the front section of our fence, both sides have gates. Again, he was quick to give a quote and start the job. He worked around all the storms we have had recently and was receptive to feedback and adjustments. We highly recommend him for odd jobs around the house that you don't have the time or skill to do!

Not only did they pick up and remove all tree limbs, but they also beautified our entire yard, including bringing plants to plant in our flower beds and at our mailbox. She has a great eye and paid attention to my feedback and used it to create something I love looking at everyday when I get home from work. I was on the calendar waiting my turn and they were pretty much on time- which is crazy for a landscaping company during peak season. The last few times I had landscaping done (with a different company) they kept postponing the install and it was several weeks later than originally planned. That company did a great job with the install but their planning and customer service were lacking. But not with Nashscapes. They plan very well. It was a two day job. They pulled all my weeds and installed dozens of perennial plants. Then finished it off with some mulch. They hauled away my old, ugly planters that were filled with dirt. They added amendments to my soil to help my plants grow. I'm thrilled with the outcome and even happier with the customer service. It's very hard to find a company that provides a great service and great customer service. I recently had them come back out to stake up a fruit tree that was leaning too much and they'll be back again to put my blackberries on a beautiful trellis. In the Fall, I'm planning to have them install some evergreens as a privacy screen. I've definitely found the company that I want to work with to make my backyard the magical place I want it to be. I highly suggest you try Nashscapes if you're looking to make your yard more attractive. They also offer maintenance and lawn service.

After a bit of back and forth and estimates, plus scoping reviews, I ended up going with Pure Turf, and so far, I am happy with that decision. I ended up signing for the next year which includes the initial fertilization and seeding, weed control and maintenance once spring comes back around. The process has been solid and easy. The team is responsive and quick to respond when needed. I communicate with them via text and they are always timely in response, while also ensuring to answer any questions I may have, etc... Since the initial seeding, I have reached back out to have a few patchy areas reseeded. They came out without delay, walked me through what to do next and how to monitor progress before the freeze of winter hits. From start to now, I have seen a great improvement in my lawn. Still have a few areas to focus on, but I am hopeful that next year I will have the lawn I am hoping (and paying) for! Overall, glad I went with Pure Turf and looking forward to next years season!

For the second year in a row, my lawn is brown. I even paid more this year for additional services I did not have before, but the lawn actually looks worse. I pay them for disease control and basically everything they offer, yet the lawn still has the same issues. They keep saying it is due to the soil, but other people have told me it looks like disease. One person on their team even said it looked like disease again, but still offered no real solution. Then the office said it was not disease, but again, they did not come out, do anything meaningful, or offer a real plan to fix it. Another company I called said they were confident the issue was disease. They also said that if disease control had been done, the company should have offered to treat it or at least come out and inspect it. That made me question whether the disease control was actually working, or whether it was handled properly. To be honest, my lawn looked better before I started using them. They are expensive, and since using them, my lawn looks worse than ever. The biggest issue is that when I asked about the problem, they never really came out to inspect it and find the actual cause. It also takes days to get a response on anything, and when they do respond, it is usually just the same repeated explanation with no real solution. No one seems to take ownership, offer help, or try to actually fix the problem. When I called to cancel, they did not offer to come look at the lawn, fix anything, or make it right. The response was basically, "Ahh man, I'm sorry. I know we did our best, but I truly wish you luck." All of my neighbors' lawns look great, and they use other companies. I am moving to one of those companies because I cannot keep paying a premium price for a lawn that looks brown, unhealthy, and worse than it did before I hired them.

Just had our old pond torn out and a new one created! Derek, Travis and the entire crew were awesome to work with, extremely, professional and very hard working. They took our vision and enhanced it and created just a lovely pond for us to enjoy! They made suggestions that we had never considered before and help educate us on how to keep a well maintained fish pond. Love, love, love this nursery! Their variety and quality of plants is fabulous. All of the staff is very knowledeable and helpful. Erin Tracy, the nursery manager, is awesome. I had to call back a few days later to figure out why no one has called to schedule a delivery, and learn it is in fact not in stock. I said that I would then opt for a smaller size gravel than what I originally asked for so I could get it sooner. Was told again they would call to schedule delivery. I ending up having to call 2 days in a row and still never got a straight answer. I was hung up on multiple times. Finally when we did schedule delivery almost a whole week out, they told me they would be there between 8am and 10am, that we would be first delivery of the day because it has been such a headache getting it figured out. Fast forward to delivery day, they call me at 10am saying that they are running a bit behind. I had someone waiting for the delivery at the house, so I let them know. When I asked nature's best how long they couldn't give me an estimate. I called them at 2pm to ask where the hell my gravel was, as I had someone sitting outside in the heat waiting for this ridiculous debacle to be over with. They told me they would get there around 5:30. This was the final straw. I cancelled and told them they better refund my deposit. I have never dealt with a company this disorganized. I ended up going to southern nurseries on dickerson and they delivered the gravel next day for cheaper. I will never again deal with Nature's best.
