It's taken me awhile to write this since I do have other life priorities than writing reviews. But here it finally is. After they changed my front brakes, and let them convince me the rotors needed changed but...did not. What was I thinking?! Anyway...finally had funds to get the rear brakes done. Was given an estimate but then AFTER the brakes were done & I got the bill it was $200 higher (I realize and estimate is just that) however $200 when they couldn't get the ones quoted so got the more expensive ones, without telling me First! Considering I am barely surviving on SS (which they were aware of my financial constraints) but even if not...they should've told me BEFORE they did the job giving me the option to reschedule!! It wasn't a dire emergency! It wouldn't been the smart decision...it's just poor business sense if one really cares about retaining a customer! On top of that, the rotors unlike the front ones which aren't near as bad, have the greatest amount of brake dust I've ever experienced on my 19 yo car...it accumulates in less than 2 days! They constantly need Cleaned it's so horrendous and unsightly...and for $200 MORE?!?! Plus they Screech when I brake!! Unacceptable & Inexcusable!! I should've listened to a previous post to take business elsewhere. Another one bites the dust!! Literally! uUIp

Did some research and found All County. They confirmed that I needed brakes but it would be ok to wait to schedule at my convenience in the near future. They did the job, were courteous and checked the car over to be sure it was good to go for a trip I'm planning. Total bill was $100 less than Firestone.

After selecting the 3 lowest proposals I visited each of those three shops to see their operation. Bullets Automotive has the feel of a small town business with big town capabilities. This is a family run business with two additional employees that I witnessed are treated like family. The owner, Bullet, feeds the employees a grilled or smoked lunch every day. He shows them that they are valued. That is important as happy employees tend to care more about their work and helping to grow the reputation of the business. Bullet's spouse handles the office very capably. While visiting the shop I witnessed her negotiating with a warranty company on behalf of another customer. It was easy to tell that she is knowledgeable and skilled at dealing with the warranty companies and the hoops through which they put customers and repair facilities. The job for my vehicle was scheduled for the following week and they accepted my vehicle on time. The maintenance was performed and completed within the promised amount of time and at the cost that was quoted. No Surprises. The total extent of the work was to replace the timing belt, water pump and pullies as well as replace the serpentine belt. Bullet saved the replaced parts and offered them for my review. The job was done well. Having moved to Florida from the north where I was connected and knew where to get the services I needed for anything there was a bit of angst associated with the process of finding a good, honest auto repair facility. I think that this is a trustworthy repair facility that does good work for a fair price. Bullets Automotive has earned my business and I will continue to use them.

The reason for two stars is we are somewhat complicit for continuing to go back. Beware of Bullets; I would steer clear, pun intended. You can trust me, this is our experience with them. ;D

This engine has been exceptional, with only regular maintenance required. It had begun to die while I was driving it a couple of months ago, and had become progressively worse. After a sensor replacement by my trusted mechanic was to no avail I had the jeep, now unreliable for the first time in 28 years, having died four times in the last mile I drove it, dying again as I pulled into my driveway, towed to AMO because of the stellar reviews they have received here on Yelp, in what turned out to be the right move. What may seem an inordinate amount of time for a diagnosis, and I certainly thought it was, until I learned from Josh, that the diagnostician, I assume Adam, had been out sick, believe that or not, and I do...Adam solved the issue when he returned. It was NOT an easy diagnosis...I had taken it to my regular mechanic, twice, they could not determine the cause. I do admit that I became frustrated with the amount of time it was taking for AMO to diagnose, it is my only ride, and I told a very polite woman that answered the phone just that. I received a call back shortly from Josh explaining the situation. The eventual diagnosis? The ECM, the engine's brain, was faulty and needed replacing...and the part was expensive. I approved the repair and my old Jeep was up and running...ready to go on 2/7...back to its old self. Okay, here is my assessment, simply, these guys are great! Once they were able to look at it, it was diagnosed and repaired in short order. The difference between the price Josh had quoted me and what they charged was about 500 bucks! Oh yeah, it was in my favor!! WHO DOES THAT? They gave me a price, I approved it, and the invoice was $500 cheaper. Did I say these guys are great?! My dad bought this new in 1997, he died in 2005, and I have been driving it ever since. Now 70, this by far the best vehicle I have owned, she's not much to look at, and some features don't work, but she starts and runs beautifully. At age 30 she qualifies for "Antique" plates in Florida, thanks to AMO, I have no doubts she will now make it! If you read this far, take your vehicle to AMO now, you will not be disappointed!

He was out to our house within 25 minutes with a new battery. It turned out that we really needed a new alternator. Robert couldn't take care of that then, because he already had another appointment. But he was able to come back later today and put a new one in. It made our life soo much easier. I can change a battery by myself, but when you work long hour shifts at night, yeah we'll just call Robert from now on. Thank you!!!
