This became my new favorite hotel! Well done JW Marriott! From the moment we arrived we were immediately greeted cordially by Sean the lobby ambassador. I did not get this last name but he stuck by us, confirmed our reservation, walked us up to check in, got us water and throughout that night and any time he saw us gave us tips and instructions. Please tell Sean thank you!! He was amazing and made our stay 10x better. It couldn't have been more perfect the entire stay. What a lovely hotel it was!! Definitely would stay here again whenever we go to Disney. It's only a nice 15min walk to downtown Disney and we even found a shortcut the Doug GardenWalk. There are so many good things about this place I have to give it a 5! It not a 6! We went to Hotel Del Coronado the next day and it's a $1000 room (will review that next) and I am telling you the reception we got at this Marriott is 10x better for sure ~ so go Marriott! I gave some time before writing this review, partially in the hopes that the hotel responded with some sort of compensation, appropriate apology, or even just to address the issues I mentioned. Quite frankly, the response I received was lazy, pointless, and missed the mark by a mile. I don't actually know if this response is from someone associated with the hotel directly or with Marriott's customer service, either way, it's a sad excuse of customer service. I stayed for two nights and immediately upon check in, the front desk attendant (a slightly taller, slim brunette with glasses) was cold, rude, and rushing me out without explaining all the details of the amenities, hotel options, credits, and so on. I took off to a local event and received a text around noon stating that my room was ready which was a better sign than the response I received earlier. Returning to the front desk, the next attendant was all alone serving one party, with 2 more behind them, myself, and 3 more after me. The hotel really needs to up the staffing, especially at the front desk. First impressions of the hotel are mixed. The exterior and even interior spaces are beautiful but the "lobby" is actually up two sets of escalators and the bottom/ground floor is pretty cold and lifeless. There is also a big leak in the valet/drop off area and of course, when I requested my car, valet attendant parks it right underneath the leak. Parking is also $68/day and no self-park option. That's just absurd. My room had a "theme park view" but that view is pretty much the backside of Cars and the building for Guardians of the Galaxy. Not much of a "view". Getting up to the rooftop bar is pretty annoying, since there is no direct elevator from the interior you are forced to walk through the garden with poor signage until you figure out which door to go through. The rooftop bar is also directly in sunlight so unless you go after sundown, expect to get a tan or even burned. The food is nothing special and pretty overpriced even for hotel standards. What also annoyed me is the Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooftop bar. I tried both guest and public Wi-Fi, neither connected. The room itself is nice, fancy accents, and I was treated to macarons upon returning. But cleanliness and upkeep is an issue. Hairs left on the soap bottles, stains on the walls/ceilings, AC kept turning on even after I turned it off, dusty surfaces, and so on. The hair dryer was also filled with dirt/dust I ordered room service both nights and overall I enjoyed the food. The pizza was great, the gelato was creamy and tasty, the burger was really good although overcooked patty, the turkey sandwich was tasty, the regular fries were super crispy but the sweet potato fries were super soggy and cold. Not very consistent with the food. And the issues with the dining continued with breakfast. The only two staff members that were a delight were Christian and an Asian girl I forgot to get her name, They were so friendly, attentive, and kind. The rest of the staff? Horrible. The blonde hostess was the rudest and coldest of the bunch, and each morning I saw 3-5 workers just standing around chit chatting. Another shorter girl with brownish hair and highlights was also rude. I observed these issues not just with myself but towards different guests as well. Half the foods in the buffet were not labeled or mislabeled, foods that should be crispy like bacon or hash browns were kept in a covered dish which created a circulation of steam and turned everything soggy; there was a big tub of whipped cream I thought was cream cheese since it didn't make sense to have whipped cream out like that but since it was not labeled I had no clue. The floors and couch cushions were dirty with crumbs and food as well. I submitted these issues through the customer response email I received after my stay and the response meant nothing, reading: "Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at the JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort. We are delighted to hear that you found the hotel beautiful and appreciated the friendliness of our room service team. We regret to learn that certain aspects of your experience fell below expectations. Please know that your feedback is important to us, and we are committed to using it to better understand and address areas where we can improve. Thank you again for your valuable insights and for being a Marriott Bonvoy Member. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future." As if I would stay here again when an apology wasn't even issued. As someone who has been a timeshare holder and Marriott loyalist for almost 20 years, this is not the Marriott experience I or anyone should expect to receive. read more

Our family had an amazing time at Disneyland, but unfortunately our hotel experience fell well short of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The front desk staff had difficulty locating our original reservation, which created unnecessary stress after a long day of travel. At one point, we were nearly charged for an additional week's stay because of the confusion. Although the issue was eventually corrected, it left us questioning the hotel's reservation process. Before our trip ended, we decided to book an additional night so we could enjoy one more day at Disneyland. Despite extending our stay, we were told we had to move to a different room rather than remain in our existing one. This meant packing up all of our belongings and moving everything--including luggage, strollers, and our children's items--in the middle of our vacation. While we understand room availability can sometimes require this, the process was handled with very little effort to make it easier for our family. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it. On multiple occasions, we called the front desk to request luggage assistance, only for our requests to be forgotten or never fulfilled. We either had to call back or ultimately move everything ourselves, which was especially difficult while traveling with two young children. Throughout our stay, customer service was consistently disappointing. The front desk often came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, and it frequently felt like our requests were more of an inconvenience than an opportunity to provide good service. Our biggest disappointment came on our final day. We requested a short extension to our checkout time, fully understanding that late checkouts are never guaranteed. However, the request was met with little empathy or effort to accommodate us. A courteous explanation or even an attempt to help would have gone a long way, but instead we were simply told no, leaving us feeling like guest satisfaction wasn't a priority. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and conveniently located near Disneyland, but exceptional hospitality is what separates a good hotel from a great one. Unfortunately, the repeated service issues, poor communication, and lack of hospitality overshadowed what should have been a memorable family vacation. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and invests in improving the guest experience so future visitors receive the level of service expected from a hotel of this caliber. read more

I stayed at this hotel for several days as I was attending a conference in the area. From the start I had a pleasant stay at the hotel due to the excellent staff at the front desk. The staff at the front desk were extremely professional- they were diligent in attending to my reservation, following up on questions that I had during my stay, and always pleasant as I walked by. I also appreciate them informing me of alternative options for parking- as the hotel only has valet parking for 60 dollars. Note: Around the corner there is self parking for 30 dollars. Park on the fourth floor and you can take a short walk across the bridge to the hotel. My room was spacious enough and well put together. The room was clean and tidy. I had a nice view of the mall and disneyland. My view was perfect for the nightly fireworks. My bed was very comfortable and properly made. The room does get some intense sun, but the shades provide the perfect level of protection to block out some of the sun. The bathroom is very spacious with a separate tub and shower. My only complaints with the bathroom-- is that it needed better lighting. Plus the tile in the shower was broken which could result in an injury to a guest. This should of been noted by housekeeping and addressed. Also, the staff need to more attentive to cleaning the hallways-- a lot of food trays were in the hallways. Plus there was food or something worst at the threshold at one of the rooms on my floor- a very unpleasant sight. The hotel has a small pool on the second floor. The pool was very busy-- seating was limited, especially as guest left their towels on the chairs when they left so I was unsure if the chairs were still occupied. Perhaps some more seating is needed around the pool. Also, somebody to clean up the towels after guest leave. One of the best surprises was happy hour daily at 5: which consisted of fresh mimosas-- drinks were made with fresh juices. This hit the spot on a hot day. Come early as their a limited supply of mimosas. The hotel does offer several places to eat-- on the first floor their is a coffee shops (pseudo Starbucks), and on the second floor their are two other options-- there is a sit-down restaurant and a bar. Late on a Sunday night I stopped in at the bar- which closes at ten for a bite to eat-- my salad with tip and taxes was about 35 dollars. A bit expensive as it contained no protein. Lastly, there is a rooftop bar, but unfortunately I did not get to experience it as close due to parties. This would be the perfect place to watch fireworks. Lastly, I was a bit disappointed that I could not get a late check out as a loyal Marriott member. I understand they are busy-- but a few people requesting late check out is not going to make the difference on turning rooms over. Note check out is at 11:00am, and I wanted just an hour later. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this business hotel. The hotel positions itself as a resort, but really it is a standard JW business hotel, so just be aware of this when you book- do not expect resort amenities even though you may be charged resort fees. read more

I came here for an all day company event, which started with valet parking. There was a long line that the staff most likely didn't foresee, but staff remained calm and professional. There were two lines of cars. I was directed to park behind the car on the left. I left my key, took my ticket, and walked towards the entrance. Our company event was held in the Arbor Ballroom and the area in front of it. Breakfast was served, which included boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, chocolate croissants, and oatmeal. I grabbed a coffee and went inside the ballroom. The Arbor Ballroom is huge. The room was dimly lighted; large oval tables covered with black table cloth; a podium, small stage, and three large TV's at the back of the room; and smaller TV's on walls at opposite sides of the room. It was set up like a wedding reception, except employees were in the DJ booth showing their PowerPoint presentations. Lunch was buffet style. The food was really good. Everyone commented on how good the salad was. I agreed. Dessert was even better. It was some sort of three layered cake and churros. The cake was delicious! Snacks and drinks were available throughout the day. Staff ensured the bags of chips and cookies were fully stocked, as well as, the coffee, tea, water, and soda. After the event, there were cocktails and more food. I noticed the tiny tacos as I was leaving. The staff set up tables with blue table cloths and bartenders were ready at their stations. I left before cocktails. Didn't want to deal with the large exodus of 500+ employees. read more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and it was a pretty good experience. Room was a good size, bathroom had both a tub and walk in shower. Walls were a little beat up cosmetically but nothing to bad. Cleaning staff did a good job freshening up the room. They do valet parking here which was ~$60 per day with the unlimited in and out service. Rooftop bar had a nice view of Disney and offered good viewing of the fireworks at 9:35 pm PST. Pool was nice. Overall a good resort hotel with restaurants and Disney in close proximity. read more

I stayed at the JW Marriott Anaheim for the first time while visiting Disneyland and California Adventure for NYE in 2025. I normally stay at one of the Disneyland hotels but decided to give it a try. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, the cleanliness and ambiance of the hotel, and its proximity to Disneyland. Second time staying at this property and from pre check-in intake to check-out, everything was seamless and they def go above and beyond to make it the most comfortable stay. Booked through Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit so our stay included a few extra perks. We were upgraded to a corner theme park view (Disney firework views) and allowed a 9am check in which worked out perfectly for us so we could freshen up before our Disney day. We mentioned our anniversary and they so graciously provided a bottle of Moet, macarons, and a mini vanilla cake with fruits! I also appreciated their seamless integration of Chase perks because things can get complicated when booking through a 3rd party reservation portal. But they were fully ready and explained all the included benefits. They even threw in complimentary access to their Executive Lounge! It's a beautiful property, modern and tastefully appointed rooms, and well-maintained property with a garden to walk through. Daily complimentary wine tasting (Daou white, rosé, red with a choice of two), yoga at 7am, they come out from behind the front desk to greet you and see you off to where you need to go, and every interaction with the employees makes you feel like they love what they do. Only downside is the expensive Valet parking but just did the self parking at Garden Walk for about $30/day and has a direct access gate from the structure/mall to the lobby. Easily my favorite hotel in the area with consistent service that goes above and beyond. Also an excellent value if booking with points/through credit card portals that further increases its value without a drop in quality of service. Looking forward to being a regular here for our Disney trips. read more

Stayed at JW Marriott for a Disney trip. Overall it was a very nice stay and I would definitely come back. Rooms -- Super clean rooms. Bed was very comfortable. No complaints here. I was offered a free upgrade to a park view room and got to enjoy the fireworks from the comfort of my room. Gym -- Has everything you need for a good workout (even a tonal which I forgot to take a photo of). It was a little smaller than I thought it would be and could use a little refresh. Food -- Breakfast came with my reservation, otherwise the buffet typically costs $39. A little pricey for what it is, but since it came with my reservation, it was great. Omelette bar was a nice touch. Room Service -- If you're planning to order, make sure to order early as room service took a while to come. Food was better than I expected! Service -- Really depends on who you get at the front desk. Certain people were very accommodating and helpful and others not so much. I found it difficult to get in contact with the front desk from my hotel room -- I've never had that happen to me. They do what a chat feature on the app or a number you can text, but even that sometimes took a while to get a response. Just keep that in mind. Disney -- Walk was shorter than I thought! You can cut through the Anaheim GardenWalk. It took me ~12-15 minutes to get to the security gates. The walk felt shorter since you're walking through a mall too. Keep in mind there is a $40 Destination Fee. It includes $20 hotel credit, morning 7am yoga class, and happy hour wine tasting. Wine tasting was ok. Rooftop was just so hot with little shade at the time I went. I did not get a chance to check out the yoga class. All in all, I would come back again. I did not get to enjoy the pool. It was really busy with kids since it was hot out. read more

I stayed at the JWM for 5 weeks recently. Despite having trouble breathing at nights due OSA. I had an amazing experience. Things you must know: The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Disney next to the cheesecake factory. Parking is vallet, the will get your vehicle 5-8 mins after you request it. Check in is on the 2nd floor, you will be greeted by a wonderful and friendly team. You can either take the escalator or those elevator on the far left when you enter. You do not need room key to access those elevators if you're going to the 2nd floor. The gym is on the Mezzanine level, it's not a big gym however it has everything you need. They have complimentary mimosas from 4PM-5PM right by the front desk, there is one Italian restaurant and a bar/with bar foods on the 2nd floor. If you go outside and take the far the elevator you will find the rooftop restaurant where they provide complimentary wine from 5PM to 6PM with a view of Downtown. There's a huge heated swimming pool with Cabanas and TV with complimentary towels. You will need your room key to access the elevator. There's a drop off laundry service for a fee. Some rooms have direct views to downtown Disney where you can see the fireworks every night at 9:05PM on the dot. The rooms are cozy with a small fridge, the bathroom has a separate shower big enough for 4 people at the same time and a soaking bathtub with nice JWM bathrobe. There's an executive lounge on the 10th floor for elite members. Room service is always available. This is by far the best hotel in the area. read more

The hard product at this resort is quite good. The room itself and the common areas have a clean and modern vibe that is consistent with other JW Marriott properties elsewhere. The aromatherapy associates bath products were quite nice but standard for the brand. I did not care for the executive lounge at all, the offerings were somewhat limited and more characteristic of what I would expect to find at a mainline, Marriott hotel or Sheraton. (Fried snacks / "buffet egg" out of a giant trough.) We received a friendly knock on the door at 8 AM on the day of our checkout to double check that we were still here. Parking was quite steep at about $70 per day - i'm going to assume this is to capture the parking dollars of the convention goers and folks attending the theme park. read more

Stayed here while my husband was at a work conference, and it is a pretty nice hotel overall. It also has direct access to the Garden Walk with a number of restaurants and cafes, and is pretty easy walking distance to and from Disneyland's Harbour Blvd entrance. (In fact, cutting through the Garden Walk would be my recommended route if you don't have wheels/stroller to deal with.) I don't know if the other rooms are like the one we got because it was definitely set up to accommodate the differently abled, with hand bars in the spacious bathroom, a lower level peep hole in the door (as well as a standard height one), and a lower level coat rack in the closet. It also had a button by the door that supposedly was for audio and light queues, presumably to alert the deaf or blind to someone requesting access to the room (like cleaning staff etc.). My one gripe is the bathtub design. The tub is a drop-in style and thus has a rim around it at a lower level. Any water that goes against the shower wall or otherwise falls in the surrounding channel flows around the sides and creates a big pool on the floor. This was a very unpleasant surprise for me as I was the first to use the shower and discovered this issue. Our solution was to make little dams on either side of the tub with spare washcloths to prevent the water from ending up on the floor (which is pretty slippery when wet), but that does leave a small most around the edge of the tub where the water has nowhere to drain to, and probably would be unpleasant in a long term stay, and if more than two are in the room using the shower, it might overflow the temporary washcloth dam. (But my husband certainly amused himself by referring to it as my "dam idea" National Lampoon style, so YMMV, LOL.) The tub itself also was actually very slippery, so I was actually pretty glad to have the hand rails as I had a couple of minor slips and those were crucial for getting out without slipping. The staff here are all really helpful and friendly, and the maids were happy to give me extra water bottles when I asked, so that aspect of the hotel was excellent. Most of the hotel seems to have reasonably good upkeep and everything is in pretty decent condition. The bathroom and closet both have those barn doors, which I am not a fan of, but otherwise the room design is pretty normal. It's a good hotel and I wouldn't mind staying here again, but watch out for the tub. read more

In addition to the racial discrimination I experienced upon check-in, the condition of my room was completely unacceptable. After returning to my room following the daily housekeeping service, I immediately noticed what appeared to be old blood stains on the mattress because they were clearly visible without me moving or pulling back any of the bedding. Housekeeping had made the bed while leaving a visibly stained mattress exposed, which is a serious sanitation concern and completely unacceptable. When I brought this to the staff's attention and requested to be moved, the only solution offered was to change the sheets while leaving the visibly stained mattress in place. For a stay costing over $1,000, this level of cleanliness and customer service is unacceptable. What makes this even more disappointing is that this has always been my favorite hotel when visiting Disneyland. I have stayed at this property approximately eight times this year alone, which is why this experience has been so shocking. Between the discriminatory treatment I experienced at check-in and being expected to sleep on a visibly stained mattress, this has been the most humiliating, disappointing, and unacceptable hotel experience I have ever had. I expected much better from a Marriott property. I sincerely hope Marriott takes these concerns seriously and ensures that no other guest has to experience what my daughter and I did during this stay. read more

wow! just wow! what a gorgeous hotel! i've been wanting to stay here since they opened. Finally did it! We did the mixology class at Trader Sam's. I thought we would do more drinking so decided to get a room and make a getaway of it. Sadly we didn't get tipsy...but gladly we had a great nights sleep and spent the next day lounging by the pool all day! lovely pool gorgeous lobby/pool bar (open to both). bartender is amazing! she was able to make me a perfect drink based on what I told her that i liked. valet only and yes it is pricey... there are some great perks included in the destination fee but unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of any of them. read more

An almost perfect stay! Family with 2 kids(1yo,7yo). Booked through Chase Travel The Edit. Initially were to stay 2 nights but added a night due to an emergency and they were able to let us keep the room. We parked at the Gardenwalk as oppose to doing the Valet parking onsite. Pros: -The room was spotless. -Top tier customer service. Andrew from reception and Liz from Tocca Ferro are amazing. I spoke to 2 other reception staff and they are great as well but I can't remember their name. -Chase perks were applied and executed efficiently. -The Garden was a great space for my kids to run around. Cons: -The table on the side of the bed has very sharp corners which is not ideal if you have toddlers. -Housekeeping response time was almost an hour and I had to call again to follow up on two occasion). -The butler that took our food to our room on 3rd night knocked so loud my toddler was startled. He got that Gotham villain vibes -The Garden furnitures were dirty. -The tub design is a bit odd, the water kept dripping all over the floor. We've tried a lot of hotels around the harbor side of disney, we've also stayed at the Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel.. Despite this being farther from Disney, we will definitely stay here again, quite frankly I like their customer service better than my stays at the Grand and Disneyland Hotel. read more

I entrusted my car to Towne Park at the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort on September 4, 2025, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The following morning, I discovered clear damage to my vehicle that had not been there before valet service. The valet return area was very dimly lit, which made it impossible to properly inspect my car at pickup. I immediately filed a claim with Towne Park, but after weeks of delays, my claim was denied with the explanation that there was "no indication of liability." I asked for supporting evidence such as inspection reports or surveillance footage, but none has been provided. From my perspective, this reflects a lack of accountability and customer care. This is a really nice hotel. Fresh, modern decor. Nice room. Amazing service and friendly staff. Restaurant choice extremely limited so we only had breakfast there. It was limited to a buffet of the quality of a complimentary offering but instead was $50 per person. The real drawback was the pool! While nicely situated and well appreciated during a hot spell of summer, the pool water was "milkey" (wrote it off to late afternoon and perhaps heavy use by persons with sunscreen) but the worst part was the tile was filthy with grime! If you wiped a finger across it you would leave a black smudge! Just bad cleaning maintenance. If the pool and food was improved I'd give this hotel 4+ read more

If you are considering getting married at the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. While the hotel itself is beautiful, my experience with their wedding and events team was extremely disappointing. Communication was consistently poor, and many of the promises made during the planning process were not fulfilled. The events staff assigned to work with my wedding coordinator frequently left or were transferred, and no one was properly assigned to take over their responsibilities. This resulted in confusion, delays, and unnecessary stress throughout the planning process. Another major issue involved the Marriott Bonvoy points associated with hosting an event. According to the hotel's website, brochure, and my contract, points should be awarded within 10-12 days after the event. Instead, I was told to wait 30 days, and when the points were finally issued, I was shorted points that were outlined in their own promotional materials. When I attempted to address these concerns, I found Jeffrey Izquierdo, Director of Sales & Events, to be dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than taking responsibility for the mistakes made by his team, he seemed to take complaints personally and acted as though he was the victim of the situation. Unfortunately, the poor customer service extended beyond the events department. Many members of the hotel staff came across as rude, snobby, and uninterested in providing hospitality. As a guest spending a significant amount of money on a wedding, I often felt like I was inconveniencing them simply by asking questions or seeking assistance. A wedding should be one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of your life. Instead, dealing with the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort's event team created unnecessary frustration and stress. Beautiful resort in Anaheim. I was here for a corporate event and it was really nice. The rooms are nice and clean, the bathroom is a great size and I love the bathtub . The bed was nice and comfy and I slept very well. It's expensive but definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area. They don't have self-parking - only valet. read more

My cousin got married at a Catholic Church near here and he got us a block of rooms at discount. The staff is very nice. I have Platinum Elite status so I visited their Executive Lounge. It was very spacious and had good food and non alcoholic drinks almost all times of the day. It also overlooks Disney Land which I didn't realize is walking distance to the hotel. Also connected to a small mall with good restaurants. The bedroom suites and bathrooms were nice, very spacious and modern and elegant. Their fitness center was pretty big and had everything I needed to get a good workout. Prices were a little more expensive than nearby hotels but I thought it was worth it. read more

I want to recognize Manny the front desk clerk for his incredible, caring and genuine service. I asked him if the room Tha was given to me if it was a loud area. He was honest was able to put me a quiet area. He noticed I wasn't feeling so well and I asked where I can get some hot water. Instead of me going to the bar with a big line of people to wait for hot water, he instead went out of his way to grab it for me. Talk about going out of his way and for showing compassion.Manny is great asset to your hotel company and it should be known how well he takes care of his guests. read more

This was our second stay at JW. The hotel is close to the Disney parks but not really within walking distance, however, it is across the street from the Toy Story parking lot which you can then take the shuttle into the parks. Our stay was relaxing and serene. The hotel is quiet and chill, and you are treated well. From our valet drop off (only parking that is available) to our check in, and bell service, everything was great. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. AC controls were nice and the TV entertainment was pretty cool as you can log into several streaming services with your own account. There is a Starbucks on the first floor with delicious coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches-perfect to get your day started at Disney. The hotel is not the cheapest but you pay for a good location and great service. read more

I have stayed at nearly every hotel around Disneyland. I like different ones for different reasons. However JW is my overall favorite. I haven't stayed here in a few years and came back this weekend and it was just as great as I remember. The rooms are nice. I love the bathtub! Everything just smells so good and everything is well maintained. Only complaint is that the room service trays were lining the hallway and not picked up. I love that there is a restaurant and food served at the bar. And the quality is great! read more

We recently stayed here for one week, had two rooms. I will say this, 100% recommend. We spent the week going to Disneyland, and staying at the hotel. I will review the different parts of the hotel, but this is specifically for the Hotel itself. Location, perfect, it's only a 15 minute walk to the park. Close to tons of restaurants so you have lots of options. The hotel is clean and decorated nicely, rooms are big enough and had everything we needed. We were even able to request a microwave for one of our rooms. Beds were comfortable, bathroom is Amazing!!! You get a shower and a HUGE tub!!! I'm 5'9 and I was swallowed into the tub lol. We had a good view of the pool, the service was perfect each day. I really really like how the maids/cleaners leave a card if you want to tip them. Some may see this as eh...but I like to tip our maids, and this way I know they get their tip. Valet was easy, service was always on point...it's pricey, but worth it. read more

Lovely hotel!! My fave part is how it's connected to the nearby shopping mall. Also, the inviting lobby with lots of chairs and open space. I do wish the coffee shop downstairs had longer hours as I like that space as well but no one really hangs out there when it's closed so it's not as inviting at that time. It's technically walkable to the parks but tbh it's not very close. Keep this in mind but definitely a nice option if distance is not a priority for you to the parks. read more

I arrived at the hotel around 10:30am so I was not able to check in unless I paid $100 extra for early check-in. I decided not to and instead I was able to drop off my luggage and park my vehicle and walk over to Disney. I received a text just after 12pm that the room was ready, but didn't end up back at the hotel until 5pm. Upon check in at 5pm, the bags were already in the room for us! THE FRONT DESK: Front desk personnel were friendly, professional and efficient! Daniella especially made our stay and experience EXTRA special since we were traveling with a little one. THANK YOU DANIELLA FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US. WE TELL EVERYONE ABOUT YOU AND HOW SPECIAL YOU MADE OUR EXPERIENCE. THE BAR/RESTAURANT: Max at the hotel bar was FANTASTIC! Food was delicious and it was so convenient to just grab a bite to eat at the hotel after a long day at Disney. We did have a not so great experience with another bartender. She told me I couldn't hold my infant at the bar while eating dinner...I had to stand with him. This was incredibly frustrating, especially after a long day of walking around at Disney and all I wanted to do was sit down. So I stood at the bar, holding my infant, trying to eat quickly so we could eat and get to bed. It was exhausting, especially since the previous night it was not an issue. THE ROOM (PREMIUM PARK VIEW FOR FIREWORK VIEWING): We stayed on the 9th floor (right under the executive lounge located on the 10th floor). Paid extra to have a premium park view, so we could see the fireworks at night. This was a mistake! We could see the fireworks from the room, but only if we stood in a corner of the room. It was not worth the extra money. Also, being right under the executive lounge, every night we head tables and chairs being moved across the room around 10-10:30pm at night. It was a nightmare and not what you expect when you are paying such a premium price for a room, and in top of that having a sleeping infant. SAVE YOUR MONEY, avoid the loud noises at night and watch the fireworks from the rooftop bar! PROS: * great location * restaurants inside of hotel (very convenient) * room service available * connected to shopping center with large variety of other dining options * 10-15 min to Disneyland * you can cut through the shopping center from hotel lobby to shorten walk to Disneyland , unfortunately we didn't know about this until our last day, and it was closed for maintenance that day. Sean who helps at the front desk needs a raise! he even helped me when he was obviously on his way out because I was reading the signs for directions inside the hotel. Gabe at the buffet was super nice and there was manager (? asian girl) at the rooftop bar who gave us special seating because we had a toddler who wanted to watch fireworks. Unfortunately, our experience with JW Marriott Anaheim was deeply frustrating and stressful during what should have been a joyful time. We encountered multiple communication issues - simple requests went unanswered for long periods, even leading up to our wedding. On the day of check in, we were informed our bridal suite had been given to another guest just hours after assuring us our bridal suite would be ready in time...no one told us until we asked the front desk. Even then, all the front desk clerk said was "it should've been communicated with you". You could only guess how frustrating that might've been. We were also overcharged by several thousand dollars, and despite multiple follow-ups, we have not received responses regarding reimbursement - which has now lead me to posting this. For a venue of this caliber and cost, the lack of organization, accountability, and follow-up was unacceptable. Based on our experience, we would not recommend hosting a wedding here. read more
