This is a very nice hotel, with excellent rooms, a fantastic Marriott club, and convenient proximity to the conference center and other downtown locations. The only downside is the elevators. On several floors of this hotel, the buttons to call an elevator do not work, so you have to wait until somebody else asks to get off the elevator on your floor, and then jump on whatever is available. Likewise, only two of the six elevators for the lower floors were operational. Many attendees ended up, having to take the stairs to, and from their rooms, some of which were as high as 22 floors up. I would definitely not recommend this hotel if you are booking for an event. read more

Our stay was disappointing from start to finish. We paid extra for an executive level room, only to discover in the morning that the lounge (where we were hoping to enjoy the breakfast buffet) was closed due to COVID, so we paid extra for nothing and weren't notified. We then tried to order room service, but they'd ended breakfast service already. Perhaps we would have known this if there had been a menu in the room with the hours, but alas there was not. There was only one robe in the room - what are we supposed to do with one robe? The bright morning sun awoke us very early because the hotel does not have blackout curtains. The hotel has wonderful accommodations including spacious rooms and great views of the city. Lying on the edge of downtown Indy, we had easy access to interstates as well as short walks to shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was very responsive through the Marriott app, and check in and out was easy. Parking is a bit expensive, but there are other nearby options if you don't mind a short walk. We requested a high floor corner queen room, and enjoyed the great view of the White River. There is a bit of noise from downtown activities and events if there happen to be baseball games or concerts scheduled, but expected when staying at a location such as this. We enjoyed the liveliness of the hotel lobby and bar as well as the convenience of the sports bar within the hotel. Fitness room is awesome and the Starbucks was a great convenience. read more

For a hotel to consider itself a "luxury" hotel but not have room service, hot water, water pressure in the shower, or open bar in concierge lounge but have the most uncomfortable beds and noisy rooms of their brands suite is upsetting. I will not be staying at this hotel again. I literally got up at 5 am just to go back to my own house to get the last bit of sleep I could before starting my day at 8 am. This is not the best Marriott has to offer. I'm still brand loyal, I just won't be giving this arm of their brand any further business. Great room views though. read more

Hotel staff has been very friendly and helpful. Connor was wonderful during check in with some great dining suggestions and was incredibly kind to our children. Best check in experience at any hotel ever. Our room was clean and had an incredible view. I wish our room had a refrigerator as was listed online. Concierge lounge is well stocked and had some delicious offerings. A gluten free snack option would have been appreciated but wasn't expected. Unfortunately, the mattresses are some of the most uncomfortable ones I've ever slept on. I'm not sure they're any less firm than the floor would be. After a 2 night stay, my entire body aches and everyone is tired from lack of quality sleep. We planned a 2 night stay and we were debating seeing if we could extend it but I'm not sure we could sleep another night on these beds. read more

***JW Marriott Indianapolis is a new and mostly luxurious hotel--two things that are not that common with the Marriott brand*** Like JW Marriott LA LIVE, JW Marriott Indianapolis is both a JW Marriott (obviously) and a new hotel (it was built in 2011). JW Marriott or new properties (or refreshed properties for that matter) are not that common to the Marriott brand so it is nice to be able to experience both in one hotel stay. Marriott is a strong brand with consistently great service and a good range of prices, but it is hard for a loyal Marriott member to experience luxury and a hotel that feels new and modern. I think there will be more JW Marriotts in the future (one will launch soon in Austin). It is a good brand that many are not familiar with. It does not feature the traditional elegance of a Ritz-Carlton or some of the upscale modern touches of some of the high-end boutique hotels, but it is noticeably more luxurious than Marriott and Renaissance. This JW Marriott has great luxury touches throughout the hotel. It starts with the exterior. It has a striking and modern blue exterior that stands apart from the many longstanding buildings in Downtown Indianapolis. It continues with check-in where the front desk warmly welcomes you into the hotel and goes over the hotel with a good personal touch (great service by Paula). The lobby is sleek and upscale and so are the elevators. The rooms have contemporary touches too like floor-to-ceiling windows and glass showers. There are other unique elements of this JW Marriott that sets it apart from the Marriott brand. This property almost has a Vegas resort-like feel with the many restaurants, the availability of both valet and ample self parking, the nice and roomy fitness center with a great layout, and the different elevators to get to the low floors or the high floors. Like other Marriotts, Renaissance properties and JW Marriotts, this hotel has an Executive Lounge for Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum members. This lounge is open 7 days a week for breakfast as well as nightly appetizers and desserts. The breakfast was good. Even though the eggs were slightly soupy, they were fluffy and freshly made. The bacon was crispy even though it lacked the thickness, chewiness and meatiness of really good bacon. There were many items though to put together a satisfying breakfast though including a wide variety of breads, breakfast pastries and muffins (including good individual jam jars). Fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and good cheese (brie and muenster among traditional offerings) were also available. Nightly appetizers were not as good. There were beef wellington puff pastry bites (kind of dry and too much unrendered fat, which was unpleasant), dry beef sliders, and surprisingly decent mini grilled cheese sandwiches. Like other JW Marriotts, this property featured cocktail party-style hors d'oveures including some very basic offerings like macaroni salad and tuna salad. Cheeses were not as good as what they offered for breakfast. There were also pita chips with hummus and tortilla chips with salsa. Desserts were okay and more high-end than Marriott and Renaissance Concierge Lounges. There were cupcakes, chocolate chip bars, pecan tarts, chocolate dipped Rice Krispie treats, kind of fancy chocolate mousse cakes, and even slices of chocolate cake with layers of thick chocolate ganache. Rooms were nice but definitely not as nice as the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek. Still, the rooms had a clean and contemporary look even if the furniture lacked that luxury feel. The room was comfortable (good A/C unit), but the shower's water pressure was a little low. Room rates are decent here. Depending on what is going on, you should be able to get a good room rate here on weekdays or weekends. It might be slightly or even noticeably more expensive than nearby properties, but this hotel probably also offers advantages over other nearby hotels (especially if you are a Marriott Rewards Gold or Platinum member). JW Marriott Indianapolis is a good upscale hotel with great amenities. It is also right next to White River State Park (where lots of events happen) and within walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium, which makes it a good option for personal travel in Indianapolis. It is also the kind of Marriott brand property that I wish was more common throughout the US. Both pay self and valet parking are available. Self parking is less expensive and easy getting in and out of. read more

As a platinum marriott member, I was staying at the JW Marriott on business for the week. Beautiful views of the city, as they put me up on the concierge level where I had great views looking eastward. The hotel was very spacious and in a great location, only a few blocks from the mall and downtown restaurants. Staff was also very friendly in getting my vehicle parked and baggage unloaded. The concierge lounge had delicious hot and cold foods, with a variety of snacks and soft drinks that I could come and pick up any time of the day. The gym was also much nicer than other Marriott properties I've stayed at; all in all a wonderful experience and great for business travel. Will be returning again soon - Best, Charlie read more

I stayed at the hotel for an event recently and was blown away by the customer service that the staff at the JW provided. The best part - all 1,200 people at the event walked away feeling like they were superstars because of the staff at the hotel, not just me! My room was on the 24th floor overlooking the White River State Park, and it was perfect. It was much bigger than I expected (although the bathroom was a little cramped) and very comfortable. The temperature of the room was a little warm for me. I like to sleep in a freezing cold room, and the lowest I could go on the thermostat was 65, and there was no fan override. Not a huge issue, but I still would have liked it a tad cooler in the room. I know I know, 65 IS cold, but still.. Once I got home I realized I left a garment bag in the room. I called the hotel and was directed to the loss prevention department, who sent someone up to the room and pulled my garment bag AND a sweater I forgot. They called me back within 10 minutes and had the items waiting for me when I got back to pick them up. Again, super fast, efficient and friendly service. read more

This past weekend was my second stay at the JW Indy. Both of my stays have been over the Indy 500/Memorial Day weekend and I must give a round of applause for the staff. Every single time I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by a kind, helpful indvidual who could answer my silly question (can we get a new hairdryer in our room?), point me in the direction of the correct elevators, or simply wish me a wonderful day. Every employee I encountered was courteous and professional and I wish I would've taken down all of their names! The two that really stood out to me were Alexis, who checked us in on the day we arrived, and Roberto, who took care of a few minor things for me (the hairdryer and a mini-fridge when we brought leftovers back). They were seriously SO nice and polite, making me feel like the only guest that mattered at that point in time. Because we were here for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500, the JW paid extra attention to detail, with complimentary mini milk bottles and cookies in the lobby, checkered flag ribbons around the lobby flower arrangements, and Miller Lite-branded milk jugs to serve beer in at the hotel bars! We also came back to our room on Friday night to a nice treat: a note from the general manager and some race car-shaped chocolates! I still can't bring myself to eat them, they're too damn cute! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the AWESOME decal on the outside of the hotel welcoming everyone to the "Epic Race, Epic Place." It spanned the entire front of the hotel and we could see it from miles away as we approached the city. This hotel already stands out as a jewel in the Indy skyline and the decal really emphasized that. We had access to the Concierge Lounge thanks to my mom's Marriott Rewards so we were treated to a delicious breakfast each day and delectable snacks in the evening. The day after we brought all those leftovers back, one of the gentlemen in the lounge was even kind enough to heat up our leftovers in the kitchen microwave for us!! All around it was a wonderful stay. My only minor complaint was that we had two rooms booked under the same name and we were placed on the 18th and 31st floors. This hotel has two banks of elevators and those floors unfortunately are not accessible by the same elevator. It would've been ideal to just take the same elevator instead of going down to the lobby just to get in another elevator and go all the way back up, but compared to our overall experience this was just a minor technicality. This place is worth staying at. Gorgeous, pristine, polite, accessible, I could go on and on with words to describe this hotel and the staff that goes above and beyond, but you'll just have to see for yourself! read more

My husband and I spent our "honeymoon" here for a night on July 11. Our original honeymoon was canceled due to COVID, so the in-laws booked us a deluxe room and gave us a $400 credit for room service, etc. We arrived to the hotel, starving, because no one eats on their wedding day, right? So after an extremely confusing parking garage we went in to check in and everything was fine. The people at the desk were very helpful, but there was no room service. So we thought we'd order at the restaurant. We were told the restaurant closed at 11, so we planned to grab food once we got to our room. We tried to call down and the phones weren't working. We tried to use our cell but the restaurant wouldn't answer us. We went down to the restaurant to find out it wasn't open as long as we'd been told. The desk told us to order Grubhub so we did. My husband waited in the lobby for an hour, fell asleep while down there, all while waiting for our dinner. Grub hub never delivered our food. The hotel staff, very nice, felt sorry for us and gave us chips and gummy worms for dinner. Happy wedding night to us. The next morning we tried to keep calling the front desk and the phones were still out. We tried to watch tv, the tv was broken. We had our waters in the fridge and the fridge was unplugged so they never got cold. We tried to order from the restaurant again for lunch, and though it says they open at 11, they didn't open until 4, which is after check out. So with not being able to have dinner, breakfast, or lunch the night after our wedding, it was really hard to justify paying that kind of money for a really bad hotel experience. I know these are crazy times, I get that. But when you open back up a 4.5-5 star hotel, you need to make sure things are at least functional in the rooms. Especially with honeymoons being canceled, these hotel stays are some couples only getaway to celebrate their marriage, like ours. Hopefully other couples have better luck. read more

Our room was very clean, the bedding was welcoming and the bathroom was nice and was stocked for convenience. I stayed at JW Marriott for a convention recently, plus a few additional days in advance. The convention center area is big and bright and well organized. I appreciated that the elevators were divided into 2 sections, for mid-rise and high-rise floors. My room was comfortable and quiet, and I had a beautiful view to the west. I only wish the day-to-day operations of the hotel were up to the quality of the convention center itself. The swimming pool in this hotel is unusually small. The "rationale" for that is that it's a convention hotel. Yet they do go out of their way to advertise the pool. The staff here are "message happy" in terms of leaving messages on your phone, and if it's a message from the hotel, it won't just go away upon playing it. In that case, you have to call guest services. The first message was in regard to me. The hotel room was not in my name, but I was listed as also in the room. The hotel wanted to know how to handle any incidentals I might purchase. That, to me, seemed ridiculous. Then any day I did not request maid service, there was ANOTHER message, notifying me that I didn't get maid service (perhaps it was because I had the sign on the door?) reminding me that I could request it. I don't require maid service every day, and I went without 3 different days. You guessed it, 3 different messages, one each time, and they don't always turn the light off after that... the important phrase you have to learn to use is "Can you please mark the message as delivered?" It would have been nice if there were a way to turn off the light on the temperature control. It's quite bright at night, I had to cover it with a towel. Parking is way too expensive. The fee for on-site parking was $43/day. I then learned that the parking fee for cars for the SAME GARAGE, if you were in some of the other hotels in the complex, such as Spring Hill, was less (e.g., $30/day). We wound up parking our car offsite at a lot a half-mile away, for $14/day, with free in/out privileges and a complimentary (plus tips) shuttle. If you're going to stay here, particularly for a convention, do a lot of homework in advance, because that may save you a bundle of money. read more

JW is amazing to look at. We came here for a bridal show. JW was more than equipped to assist our needs. I've stayed here before. I enjoy staying here because the staff is always friendly, informative, and fast. Their quality of service flowed while hosting this event. There were about 100 vendors set up in the grand ballroom. The space fit everyone in, not as comfy. There was some difficulty navigating through the aisles. There was so much variety and information to gain from this bridal event. The reps stated it is one of the largest in the city. I believe it. We've been to 4. this year. By far, this event had the most vendors. After having our fill of hors devours and champagne, we headed to the Starbucks just below the ball room. It was cozy and a nice cool down from being in the ball room for 2 hrs. We've now added the JW to our list of venues. We have 5 picked. Look for future reviews so you'll know who we chose. read more

Whenever I can stay here for the annual Gen Con event, I happily do. The hotel is located adjacent to the convention center and linked by a skywalk making trips to and from the event completely contained. The parking garage is also large and connected via skywalk. The second floor sports a large, clean fitness center with plenty of machines and water as well as a area to lounge in while you unwind. The second floor also has ice machines with bags, a Starbucks and a Fedex store for shipping any games to other items you don't want to carry with you to the airport, and a pool area. The first floor has a coordinated shuttle service that runs about $10 a person to or from the airport (Uber or Lyft are approximately $20) as well as Osteria Pronto which serves excellent (but expensive) breakfast starting at 6:30AM. The hotel is located within walking distance of several excellent restaurants and craft breweries including Harry and Izzy's Steak house (try the St. Elmo's Shrimp Cocktail), The Ram, the Iron Horse Bar (located in the basement of the Union Station), as well as some good chains from Noodles Inc and TGIF and a mall (easy entrance connected to Harry and Izzy's). The rooms themselves have always been clean and the service keep it that way during your stay. They include a vault and plenty of pillows and permit you to adjust the temperature. I would love it if they also had fridges and a microwave but you can also find a microwave near the ice machines on the second floor. There is also a good bar on the ground level with a decent selection of liquor and craft beer. I am a fan of the Fat Tire beer but there are plenty of IPA, APA, and other selections if that isn't your preference. For me, the JW is the perfect location for when I visit and I would gladly stay there whenever I am able to (they have a lottery during the convention and you don't always win the opportunity). read more

I've spent roughly a month-and-a-half staying at the JW over the course of six or seven years for the IndyCC/Cru Winter Conference taking place from December 28-January 1. Here's what I have to say: 1. Their service is impeccable. I've always been so impressed by their helpfulness, initiative, and willingness to go the extra mile to serve. 2. I've only ever eaten at the High Velocity Bar and Grill, but it's always a been a pretty good experience! We've had good service, decent food, at reasonable prices! 3. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and views are fun! There's nothing worse than a badly kept hotel room, but you never get that impression from the rooms at the JW. 4. The gym, even during conference weeks, has always had an enough equipment for everyone to use. 5. The conference spaces are huge! MORE than enough space for us (and we're a conference of between 1000-1500 people!) Thank you, JW Marriott. Some of my favorite memories of the last decade have been at your hotel. read more

From the front desk checking me in to walking me to elevator, room service, and area restaurants, this was a great selection. The Marriott selection in the area is vast. Very nice hotel that I stayed in last week for a couple nights while in town for work. Here are a few highlights: - best gym I've ever seen in a hotel, hands down, from cardio machines to free weights. Plenty of towels and even some cold damp ones in a fridge. The view is also pretty nice if you're on the elliptical or treadmill. - rooms were spacious, bathrooms were nice and "modern" with the extra 2 shower heads in the wall. The floor to ceiling windows offer an excellent view. - service was great by any staff I encountered from the front desk to the ones in the Executive Lounge. - speaking of the Lounge, it's nice even if alcohol isn't included. Stopped by multiple times throughout the day just for water, sodas and snacks. I went by one evening for the hors d'oeuvres and it was a decent spread. - only bad thing I can speak of is the parking, it's expensive ($31 for self park, $37? for valet). I came in at a time when some event from the Indians stadium across the street was getting out and the way the deck is laid out, all the inbound traffic was deadlocked by ppl trying to pay and leave. I ended up having to circle around the wrong way down to avoid waiting for easily 30 min for things to clear up. read more

For about $400 a night, not impressed. There was nothing per se wrong with the hotel, but there was nothing special about either. We were woke up at 9 am by the maid trying to clean the room. 11 am check out is early for a so-called luxury hotel. Self parking was difficult as many spots were reserved for valet and the cost of $37 was high. Location is ok, but not ideal. We were told upon check in that there were free drinks on the 31st street. We got up there and there were no alcoholic free drinks, just soft drinks. Lame. Again, at this price point, free water and Pepsi does not cut it. When I have had upgraded rooms at competing hotels, beer and wine were included during happy hour. The breakfast was weak and, yet again, was consistent with an average, $150 a night hotel, not what one should expect at Marriott's supposed top level hotel. I would not return. read more

Have stayed here twice on business. Staff is always friendly and very efficient. Rooms are very comfy and the televisions are simple to figure out. That in itself is golden. The bathroom was nice but very awkward. The door opens in (makes sense) but lands in a bad spot. So after you shower and want air the door is hitting you in the arm, face or behind. Shower pressure mediocre and slow drain. I speak as an industry professional. Nothing they can do about this. I'm taking away 1 star for 2 reasons. 1: The lobby has a lot of potential but without staff it's uninviting. It's also a bit disheveled. 2: Hotel restaurants are frustrating. Sports bar is understaffed and busy. Italian restaurant might be good but often closed. Although the lunch buffet I'm eating now is good it's odd. Somethings off here. Indy is pretty flat so the nice thing about staying at the JW is that you can spot it miles away. It's a great point of reference as you wander around downtown because that massive blue structure is always within view. Apparently, it's the world's largest JW Marriott. It is a new (opened Feb '11), clean and very nice hotel that's connected to other Marriott owned hotels in the surrounding area as well as the Convention Center, Lucas Oil stadium and Circle Centre Mall. You also have a nice walking area near the White State River park. All the aforementioned places are about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. There's a lot of sports bar type of establishments and steak houses a few blocks away - that seems to be the common theme in that area. Pros: - very new and clean; nice design - very friendly and attentive staff - clean room and bathroom; decent bed and soft sheets and good temperature control - great breakfast at Osteria Pronto - quiet area near a running/walking trail at White State River Park Cons: - no mini bar or fridge (but complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee) - pricey daily wifi but you can have up to 5 devices connected to it The main lobby here as two restaurants - one is a sports bar called High Velocity and the other is Osteria Pronto which is where you can have a $16 breakfast buffet (mine was included with my stay). The breakfast buffet is probably one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had. There's a waffle and omlette station, pastries, oatmeal, eggs, sausage (regular and turkey), the best crispy bacon ever, cereal, fresh fruit and even smoked salmon. Everything tasted fresh and I like that there were lots of healthy choices. The staff here are very attentive! There's a also a nice lounge outside of this restaurant with lots of comfy seating. You can also get free wifi in the lobby - I think the limit is 2 hours per day per guest, I think you have to get the password from the front desk. Otherwise wifi is not free and is kinda pricey. Oh, there is a Starbucks on the 2nd floor of the JW but the hours are brutal. It opens at 6 am but jeez, I am never up that early yet it closes so early! I think it was 4 or 5 pm...too bad. Seems like a safe location as I wandered around by myself and didn't see anything sketchy in the day or night. The area is just quiet. If I were coming back to Indy, I'd definitely stay here again. The hotel is about a $35 cab ride from the airport (before tip) but there's also a shuttle that costs about $7 that's within walking distance from the hotel (just ask front desk staff about it). A little disappointing for a JW Marriott. I come here regularly for work, and the wifi has always been a little spotty here, but I still stayed because of the amenities. Last time I checked into my room to find lots of trash behind the desk and TV stand, including food. I was in a rush so did not have time to call the front desk, but even after housekeeping came the next day, it was not cleaned up. Clearly they aren't paying a lot of attention to the housekeeping of the rooms. The pool and gym here are one of my favorites, and I always appreciate the concierge lounge and breakfast, but food behind the furniture is where I draw the line. read more

One of the nicest hotel gyms I have seen (again, spacious, clean, tons of equipment, and a bowl of on your way out!) The location is ideal... Walking distance to restaurants, parks, the NCAA hall of fame. The lounge and bar downstairs is always lively. Here for a conference, so it's nice that they have a ton of rooms. read more

Love the JW Marriott Indianapolis. This hotel is a great place to forget about things for a few days and enjoy the treats here at the hotel. Some local people might not think to stay downtown but it's so much easier than day trips. The JW has two great places downstairs to get drinks or if you are Marriott Elite you can maybe score access to the Executive Lounge on the 31st floor, with great views of the city and pretty reasonable drink prices with excellent and personal service. The Osteria Pronto restaurant was fantastic (I'll review that later) and you can get adjoining rooms for a larger group (like you saw in Modern Family). The rooms are large and comfortable, especially the towels and bedding. Be sure to bring your HDMI cable because you can stream movies from your PC to the TV in the room. Definitely a fancy hotel. And while I've not stayed here, I did take advantage of the restrooms, the meeting facilities and the lobby at various times during the conferences I was attending in Indianapolis. The conference rooms themselves are well appointed and there are a number of different configurations that can be used for different styles of events. The restrooms are large and well maintained. The lobby is crowded but otherwise useful. My one complaint is that the entrance to the hotel on ground level (the one not via pedway) is really oriented to car traffic rather than pedestrian traffic which is frustrating when one doesn't want to get here via the pedway from the convention center. read more

Very nice hotel and a most attentive staff. We went on our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. Put us up on the 32nd floor, gave us the romance package with chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne. We also received two complimentary breakfast buffets in the restaurant on site. It was amazing, with a waffle bar and an omelette bar. The pool was nice, but small. Hot tub was great. I also liked the hi-rise elevators! Those scream all the way up!! It's like a thrill ride! Also, valet is on top of things. We never waited more than 5 minutes for our vehicle, and on that note, we also had great room service. Anyways. Overall impression was it's a very nice hotel. Just too bad Indy is becoming a sort of gang neighborhood. 20 cops arresting gang members in Circle Centre and 2 cops arresting gang members 2 blocks from the hotel. read more

I'm having a hard time finding something to complain about at this hotel. Overall the hotel gets 5 stars, their restaurants would be a bit lower (more on them below). My room was great- very new, quiet, nice linens, very comfy mattress, great shower/tub and amenities. I had a city view room which was awesome. But even the other side is nice with views of the White River. See pics. Hotel is only 9 months old I think. Only thing that would have made it even better would be a fridge and microwave. If you're going to a convention or a game the location is awesome. It's connected to the convention center, which is connected to Lucas Oil Stadium, several other hotels, and the mall downtown. You don't even have to go outside, which is great in bad weather. Also walking distance to the minor league stadium, all museums, downtown, movie theatre, White River state park, and the zoo. The staff was so helpful, polite, always smiling and friendly. There are 3 restaurants and a central bar. High Velocity is a sports bar with tons of TVs, every major sporting even was on. Food was just so so but service was excellent. Osteria Pronto is Italian. Not the best ever but pretty good, had their minestrone soup twice it was so good, and the gnocchi was pretty good. You can have a drink at the central bar area and order take out from Osteria Pronto. That was a nice option to room service. I didn't try the last place. Had room service breakfast one day and it was awesome. The fresh fruit plate was huge and delicious. 3 kinds of berries, two kinds of melons, pineapple, grapes, and yogurt. Starbucks on the second floor next to the walkway to the convention center. I did a lot of walking and dining in other hotels. From what I see the JW is the newest and nicest. There are actually 3 Marriotts in a row, so make sure you pick the right one, the other two look a bit old. Went to Shula's in the other Marriott for lunch, pretty good. Went to the Capital Grill twice in the Conrad, really good. read more

New York in Indianapolis. Beautiful room with the nicest of linens, soft towels, high quality soaps and exceptional service. Walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium and downtown if you like a short hike. Parking cost was also New York caliber. We grabbed a quick bite in the bar/restaurant. Was not impressed. I'm usually not a fussy eater but the bun was like cardboard and inedible. Meat was dry. I expected so much more for what it cost. Left without eating half of it. Recommend finding another place to catch a bite. read more

I would give a zero if I could for the valet service. It's been exactly an hour and still no car. They have one valet working and he has zero sense of urgency. Hotel looks very nice. Room was nice. But I would've been home by now if my car would've been brought around within the estimated time, and I live almost a state away. Now I'll be driving sleepy. read more

The service at this place is great. When we checked in, the attendant was nice but he was talking so fast that we just said yes and nodded. We kept on looking at each other to see if one of us had understood the question, but none of us did. We got to the room and it was nicely furnished. It's very modern and classy. We tried to order room service in the morning, but they said it was a 45 minute wait and we couldn't wait that long. I like that they have interactive maps. It's very helpful and useful. The meeting rooms are and the bathrooms are lovely. I think everything is tastefully designed without being too barren but not too homey. We had our conference dinner in the grand ballroom and I have to say, that was the best beef I've ever had at a hotel. The salad was not impressive. A negative is that they charge for wifi, unless you're in the lobby. I'm sorry, but even some of the cheapest motels offer free wifi. But my overall experience is a good one. read more

Arrived at this hotel after a 12 hour drive and the insisted I pay $55 for parking; however, they did not have any parking spaces available. When I refused to post for parking that was not available I was asked to remove my vehicle from the premises. Pretty sure they oversold the hotel and this is the way to deter people. Asked for a manager 5 times and they could not get a manager. Stated due to a concert there parking was overflowed. There was no concert going on in the hotel. This hotel was rude, inept, and when you complain they ask you to leave. After that I shared my opinion of this staff. I assume because my room was highly discounted from a veterans travel service, I was targeted to be nickel and dined from the beginning. Went down the street to another hotel and was greeted with respect and common customer service. Got my refund from the travel company. Do not go here if you are from out of state and a vet getting a deal. read more
