JWF removed two layers of asphalt shingles, repaired rotted wood, and replaced with new Corning underlayment and shingles. they also recoated my deck with elastomeric coating. Their price was much more reasonable than other companies I had called for quotes. It was a noisy two days, a delayed start due to rain, and a slight lack of communication, but well worth the wait! After they left, I noticed a couple of things that weren't right, and they promptly sent a worker to take care of them. Just a heads up, I have picked up SEVERAL nails around the house, even though they laid down tarps to try to catch all the flying debris from the roof, which I'm sure is normal. I would also recommend moving any plants, yard furniture, birdfeeders, or outdoor items before they start so nothing gets damaged. Overall, very happy with the result! read more

My truck, parked in the driveway of my house is not a billboard for your flyers. Your shitty marketing tactics have made our street look like a trailer park. Our roof is in need of repair, but you won't be getting the call. You, or the company you hired to distribute your flyers, should read up on the local ordinances before setting out for the day: Sec. 14-172. - Distributing handbills and subscribed materials on private property. (a) It is unlawful for any person to deposit, place, throw, scatter or cast any handbill for purposes of solicitation upon any private property in the town whereon any of the following signs is exposed to public view: No peddlers, no solicitors or canvassers, no transient merchants, or no trespassing. (b) Any handbill or subscribed materials shall be placed or deposited upon private property in such a manner as to prevent the handbill or subscribed materials from being carried or deposited by the wind or other elements upon any street, sidewalk, or other public place, or upon neighboring private property. (c) Any person placing or depositing any handbill or subscribed materials upon private premises shall utilize public streets, sidewalks or walkways, unless the owner or occupant has given express permission to walk across unpaved areas of the yard. (d) Any person or entity whose name appears on the handbill or subscribed material as the person or entity being promoted in the handbill or subscribed material is the responsible party for ensuring compliance with this section 14-172 and for any actions of those employed or engaged to place or deposit the handbill or subscribed material on the private property. (e) Violations of this section 14-172 are subject to the enforcement actions and penalties set forth in section 14-173 in addition to any other remedies available at law. (Ord. Work was done well but be sure to get any quote in writing. They negotiate quickly but never wrote it down. My husband and I both heard him and wrote it down and said it back at the time but he remembered it differently. The crew also broke a large terra cotta pot (4' tall) in my yard and never replaced it as promised. read more

Great response after initial call. Met with Jim and within a few days Bill completed a small job. This was on March 21, 2023. Jim promised me a 5 year warranty for work on my roof. Since then I have requested on 4 different occasions, a receipt of services, my 5 year warranty in writing and pictures of before, during and after of the work done by Bill, who told me that those pictures would be sent to me. As of today, June 5, 2023, I still have not received any of my requests. Great work on my roof but terrible customer service after completion of the job. I would have a hard time recommending JWF to anyone to have their roof worked on. Very disappointed that I still have not received my requests. I thought I had hired Jim to repair my patio roof . I quickly found out that Jim is unresponsive to phone calls.We met on a Friday.He said he would call on Monday to set a time for a Tuesday start. Absolutely the worst contractor I've ever dealt with. Hired him to fix up some leaks on my roof 1.5 years ago and have yet to get it fixed after paying him over 3k. He keeps saying he's going to come and then doesn't. When I reach out to him he doesn't even respond for weeks. Keeps stringing me along until the next big rain.
