This review is long overdue. I love this place. I get only one treatment here and it is the face tendons massage. I have been going here now for a little over a year maybe even almost 2 years. I have had various facials at other places. This is a different type. It isn't your typical facial. They do extractions but they do things after so you don't end up brusing. I've taken a couple of my friends and family to this place. I've even taken my husband. Everyone time I go I can see the grow in my face and my face does feel tighter. I completely recommend. The ladies here are very nice and professional. The place is clean. Get the face tendons facial. That is my go to. I also think it's well worth the price. read more

Thanks Tik Tok :) It's usually hard for me to relax, but surprisingly, I was low-key falling asleep. My skin felt SO dull beforehand, and I wanted to treat myself for my birthday. I got one of the Revitalizing facials, and you can instantly see the difference in my face afterwards. I was GLOWING for DAYS! My face was truly rejuvenated and healthier looking. I think I was in need of a major lymphatic drainage, especially in my face to neck area. I was told from my friend who normally does facial, that the price is fair and quite good for the service I received. The place is kind of hidden, but if you call, they'll direct you! Love JY for their affordable and effective facials. I found JY like many others in the comments via a couple TikTok videos and had to come try them. They're most famous for their Bojin (face tendons) massage and it's really helped me manage my chronic TMJ. Grace is my girl and every time she finishes my facials i feel tension free. I'll be honest that it's taken a couple consistent visits to see major results but the relief I feel after each massage is worth it alone. Products are also decently high end as I have sensitive skin and have never had a bad reaction to their cleansers/creams. read more

This place is my new hidden gem, I'm almost afraid to share it. I use to drive out to ktown for facials but this place has really been great so I joined their membership program. You can deposit $300 and get $30 toward credit or $500 and get $50 etc. I think it's a great deal. They have a range of different types of facials to suit your skins needs. This is my second time coming, I've tried the bojin facial and also hydrolifting -firming & lifting facial. I really enjoyed my facial from Suki so much I had to leave her a review. She's thorough, great technique and she really treats you like a good friend taking care of all your concerns, they never pressure you to buy anything here. I took a Tuesday off work and needed a pick me up and something comforting and found myself getting a facial here and it was the most rejuvenating. It's been a while since I first visited JY Beauty Spa (probably since 2022?), and this review is long overdue (I should have written it much earlier!). Now that I live in LA, I keep coming back here. I think I should write this review to let more people know how fabulous this place is. First things first: I HIGHLY recommend this place! It's truly the best spa and acne treatment place on earth. I've tried many others, including some in New York, San Diego, and San Jose, but this one is undoubtedly the best. I say this as a long-time and forever returning customer. Secondly, not only Lucy but also all the other skincare specialists are incredibly skilled and professional. They never boast or over-advertise their services; instead, they prove their excellence through genuine passion, dedication, and patience. Their relentless effort makes this the best beauty bar in LA. Last but not least: I'm someone who tends to get acne when under stress or before my period. Every time, they provide the most effective and soothing treatment, and my skin always comes out glowing and refreshed. The vibe here is also perfect -- very clean, calm, and relaxing. I came in for the Facial Tendon (Bojin) Facial and would highly recommend this to anyone! It's very reasonably priced - $108 for 90 minutes. I felt so relaxed afterwards as the technician massaged the knots from my face, neck, and shoulders. I'll definitely come back again to try their other treatments! I'm writing this as I leave the spa after getting my first Gojin facial and it's hard to even get my thoughts together because I'm so relaxed. I had no idea what to expect but essentially it started like any other facial where they triple cleansed my skin. Then the aesthetician used her hands and then a gua sha to massage my face, focusing a lot on my jaws where I carry a lot of tension. It was amazing! Then she used a steamer to open my pores while giving me a neck and shoulder massage. Then I got the most thorough extractions I've ever gotten which was admittedly a little painful, but it's always a little painful and I appreciate them really clearing out my clogged pores. After that, she used a high frequency device to get rid of any bacteria on the skin and avoid causing post-extraction breakouts. Then she used one of those fun cooling masks that starts out as a cream and turns to a rubber texture on my face while I simultaneously had a heated hydrating hand mask on and got a massage on my leg and arms. The facial finished with removing the masks and a final shoulder rub. When I looked in the mirror afterward, the two active breakouts I walked in with look far more calmed down and smaller. The rest of my skin looks balanced and hydrated and I'm confident that any irritation from the extractions will be gone soon. 10/10 experience altogether and I will be back! read more

I asked for a micro dermabrasion but got something else. My face feels hydrated and I feel relaxed, but I was expecting something else. There was a mask, lights on my face, massage, and various oils or products used on my face. She steamed my face the entire time. I think the language barrier played a role. I don't think I'd come back. I'm just not sure what service I received. I never felt the micro dermabrasion wand on my face. Well, actually she tapped my face maybe 4 times literally, about 5 seconds with something, so I'm not sure if that was it? But the wand was NOT ON. I'm hoping they looked at my skin and gave me something my skin needed. I just don't think I got what I went for. I did give a tip because I felt relaxed but definitely not what I went for at all. I called and spoke with someone on the phone after and she said I got the basic microdermabrasion. No I don't think so. Not at all. You can definitely feel the facial extractions, but coming from Asia, I have a pretty high tolerance for facial extractions so it didnt bother me at all. I reached out to them via text in hopes of addressing my concerns, but unfortunately, received no response. Disappointed but still optimistic, I awaited a reply from them after posting my review on Yelp. To my dismay, instead of receiving a genuine attempt to rectify the situation, I noticed a public reply, seemingly AI-generated, claiming that extractions were performed while I was asleep during the facial. This assertion is completely false. Even my husband, upon inspecting my face after I returned home, confirmed that there were no noticeable extractions made. It's disheartening to witness such dishonesty, especially after expressing genuine feedback and seeking resolution. It appears that once they had secured my payment and attempted to deflect criticism with a fabricated reply, JY Beauty Spa chose to disregard my concerns entirely. I received a text from Felicia (I think she is the manager) following my original post. She was apologetic and wanted to make up for the unpleasant experience to not just my mother but myself as well. We decided to give them another chance and we can say we did not regret it. Everyone was sweet and making sure we both were comfortable from the moment we entered the shop. The facial included a light massage which was a nice touch to the whole experience. I felt very relaxed. The owner was also there and apologized for the last experience, and it did seem sincere to us. We had booked the earliest time and I'm glad we did because it was busy when we were finished. I had opted for the brightening and hydrating facial and my friend had done the lymphatic drainage one that was over social media. The staff was super friendly and also the everything was clean. I did have to say though, we both thought that the blackhead/acne removal was PAINFUL. You might want to ask them to skip this if your pain tolerance is low. I was also surprised that even though my friend and I chose different facial sets/packages, everything they did on us both were the same except that she got gua sha and I didn't. I don't really see how this justified the price difference in both our treatments if only one thing was different. read more

I took the opportunity to visit this place while all the influencers were at Coachella and I can see why the specific face-lifting treatment is trending. Location: they are at the 2nd floor of the building of Oh My Pan bakery, so make sure to walk up the stairs :) Treatment: When you speak with the lady, she'll point to the treatment 'face tendon' (Bojin) and tell you that's the TikTok one. Experience: I was hesitant at first to choose the 'TikTok one' because I didn't watch the full video. So, I was unsure of the treatment process. With the bipolar LA weather, my skin has been very confused and more on the dry side, and seeing just the treatment "face tendon" didn't indicate to me that it would be hydrating... but I was SO wrong. The first step of the treatment was the lifting part. She massaged my face, neck, and shoulders. My day-to-day work consists of being at the computer a lot, and when she massaged my neck area I could feel the tension melt away after too much screen time. The second part was the extraction (it could be painful depending on your tolerance). I was surprised it came with this treatment since I needed a clean-up. The third part was like a red light therapy thing. I didn't see what was happening but she put a dome kind of light over my face and wrapped my hand in a mask. I thought that was it but wait there's more! The fourth and final part of the treatment was hydration! She put on a cold but very soothing gel mask. Overall, the experience was a 10/10. My biggest turn-off is when beauty places try to make you purchase expensive packages, but here was completely different. I came here for a Bojin (Face Tendon) facial and wowowowow was I blown away. Susan was my aesthetician and she was INCREDIBLE. I'm 100% going to make this a place I visit regularly, and will be adding the Head Tendon treatment along as well. I didn't expect the treatment to be so thorough, but in addition to the actual facial aspect of the treatment, Susan really got into the tension and pressure points in my face, jaw, neck, shoulders, my upper back, and even a forearm / and massage. I do cupping and see a chiropractor regularly and when I got up at the end of the treatment I had multiple cracks in my back, as if I had just had a chiropractic session. read more
