I don't profess to be an expert on the subject of yoga so I can only highlight the differences that I noticed and/or what I liked/disliked. Firstly the size of the studio is significantly larger. Bikram has approximately 2.5x the amount of floor space in the hot room, two separate changing rooms, and both side and front facing mirrors. Despite having more space the classes still become packed and prime spots on the floor are taken unless you arrive early. Case in point, I was forced to take the only spot left in the rear near the mens changing room. Supposedly the heat in that section is not that intense and consequently I did not get the dizzy-heat that I had become accustom to in these classes. Speaking of the floor... it's carpeted. I think a room full of people sweating to their max day in and day out should not be carpeted, but that's just me. Unlike in sayville, there is no calm, light music playing throughout class. The instructor's voice is punctuated only be the occasional grunt of someone falling out of a pose. As I mentioned before, I did not experience the same amount of heat that I'm used to. Even when walking on other parts of the floor, the heat did not seem that intense. Also, instruction focused mainly on physical/technical aspects of poses without much mention of a spiritual aspect. Overall I felt more like I was working out than attaining a higher state of consciousness. The prices are reasonable at $12 for a drop in class and several other packages like $99 for 10 classes. The location is pretty convenient, right on 25a at the end of Nichols Rd. These factors will most likely be the main motivation for me going back. If you're a new yogi or yogini and you live in the area you may just want to stop by and see what hot yoga is like and if it's for you or not. Minor annoyance: I didn't like looking at the water stain on the ceiling every time I went into savasana. Tip: Show up early like they tell you to.

Not impressed. The instructor that I had was like a drill…read moresargent. The heat was also broken the day I went. They would not give me my money back. The people who were around me were rude. The place gets too crowded. People are literally on top of each other. There is also only one bathroom stall in the womens room that is always packed. I would not go back.

The owner of the store tells employees not to talk or be friendly with customers. This is incredibly unwelcoming and causes the employees to act soulless and robotic, even people in these reviews mention it. The more friendly you are, the more people want to do business with you, believe me, I worked retail for a decade, I have a clue. I had made a friend in the bayshore store that kept getting into trouble talking to us, but talking to her actually made us buy more things! One time I came in when the store had an hour left open and the girl that was there was being rude and rushing us, so she could leave and close the store! Turns out it was the daughter of the owner. To make matters worse, I bought a heart crystal and gave it to a friend. Apparently it was a fake crystal! My friend dropped it by accident! I don't necessarily blame the store since anyone can get scammed, but I would just say be careful and make sure the crystal is real. Especially with those prices! The thing that gets me the most about Breathe is the soulless ness and unfriendliness vibe that the employees are forced into. There's so many other crystal stores where employees are friendly and fun to talk to! Not Breathe, it just gives me a "meh" feeling, I'd much rather go somewhere else than breathe. It's a shame collective consciousness and tranquility within closed down, those were really fun and had brought in a fun community!

I just recently went to a soapmaking and meditation class with Patrick and Krystal at Breathe. I…read morecannot say enough good things about this class. My personal trainer also encouraged me to increase my physical activity outside of our sessions.I decided I would take a leap of faith and with luck I found this place. I called and they were able to squeeze me in the middle of the semester. I take private lessons with Christine and she's awesome. I've also had the pleasure of taking lessons with Damiano and Nick who are amazing as well. For me it's more for physical activity not really for competing , but it sure is fun learning. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. I encourage you to check this place out.

I subsequently took lessons with a pro there, named Damiano. He is a true professional, who is devoted to his work, and also an excellent tennis instructor. Overall, the place is run quite well. The folks are very organized with scheduling and keeping appointments, and very flexible when you need to change an appointment. The new owner, Spencer, spent a small fortune refurbishing the facilities and its reflected in all aspects of the operation. Unfortunately, due to a new job, I could not proceed with joining a league which is a real bummer. But it's my hope to do so, somehow, in the future.
