I usually never have an issue bringing my dogs here for grooming, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I picked up my dogs on Friday, and when I finally got a closer look at my fluffy corgi, I noticed she looked almost like my standard corgi. A significant amount of her fur had been cut from her butt, legs, and mane area. Normally, when I drop my dogs off, staff ask what type of grooming or cut I want. This time, no one asked, so I assumed they would follow the usual grooming notes they keep on file for my dogs. I was rushing to pick them up before closing and had to get back on the highway, so I didn't notice the haircut until I reached my destination. The before-and-after difference was very noticeable, and not only did I notice it, but several other people commented on how short her fur had been cut. What upset me most was the lack of communication. No one contacted me to confirm cutting off that much hair, and I didn't receive a call or text before the grooming was done. When I called and asked who groomed her, the manager told me it was the same groomer who usually works on my dogs and said she didn't know why the cut was done this way. At the same time, she mentioned seeing my dog on the grooming table and noticing she wasn't fixed yet and had already gone to daycare without anyone realizing--again, without any confirmation or communication with me. I've been a loyal customer and consistently leave 20% or higher tips because I appreciate good service. Unfortunately, this situation didn't feel like it was handled with genuine accountability or concern for what happened. I'm very disappointed with this experience. I trusted that my dogs' grooming history and preferences would be followed or, at the very least, confirmed with me beforehand. Sadly, this experience makes me feel like I may need to find another place for grooming. read more

Once you find a groomer that you like here, stick with that person because not every groomer is good. I specifically asked for them not to cut my dogs hair short, and they did exactly that this last time. read more

Love this place! Both of our Dobermans come here and they always come here to get bathed. The only thing I would like to see improved is their nail clipping services. My Dobermans always have the same long nails after coming here. I've asked for them to cut them more but they don't seem to do a good job at that. I took my miniature golden doodle here for the first time this week and they did a great job. I was amazed that you could walk in a see the dogs being groomed and the dogs all looked so calm and happy. It wasn't loud and inside with a lot of barking. My dog has anxiety when going to get groomed and they said he did great and wasn't anxious when I picked him up. Will definitely go back. read more

Took our 11 month old Doberman to Jenny Sue after seeing many recommendations. To give context, our puppy is in advanced obedience training and we take her to socialize in public at least once a week. First time we dropped her for daycare, they said she did good with the neutral dogs and would take her about 3 more times of slowly introducing her to the environment before she could be with the big group. Dropped her off today for the second time to continue with the "plan" and got called 5 minutes later that she was snapping at the dogs in the big group. We ran back and questioned what happened and were told that she was scared and it wasn't going to work. When I again questioned how it happened because she didn't do that the first time they seemed confused. I expressed what we were told about "the plan" and all I got was confused stares, a "I wasn't here when she cane the first time" and a mumbled sorry. So you're going to tell me that the system you have to make sure the staff knows and understands dogs needs is staff memory? I'm not a dog expert but I've owned dogs for going on 20 years. You get to know what the proper way to introduce a dog to a pack is. I'm not going to argue whether or not the snapping happened because while she's never done something like that, I wasn't there so I can't say. What I can do say is that my dog was put on a dangerous situation (for her and other dogs) she shouldn't have been put in simply because they can't keep records on dogs and rely on memory to remember what their needs are. read more

This place is amazing! When I walked in I was greeted by the people at the front and they are very pleasant. One of the groomers walked me through the different options I had based on how I wanted out dog to look and extra services they offered (teeth cleaning, etc) they were very nice and patient when it came to explaining everything! When I picked up our dog I noticed they had even tied a little bandanna around her neck which is awesome and really made our dog look even better! He goes twice a month or so, once for a haircut and once for a bath and he's never been nervous or scared to enter. In fact, he gets excited and starts jumping and wants to go inside. I hate writing bad reviews... I waited a few weeks to post because I wanted to give my puppy some time for her fur to grow back... I was excited to get my puppy her 1st groom here because of the rave reviews. My pup had a 1pm appointment and she wasn't done until 6:30 pm. I got a call from a lady that could care less, tells me they cant brush out my puppy because she was matted and I would have to pick her up and do it myself. I asked what was another option & she said to buzz it off. I asked how much does it cost to buzz her & i still had to pay $60 for the most uneven butchered looking haircut. I picked up my pup and she was unrecognizable. I get it, buzz her because shes matted up but her fur on her face and the back of her head looks like someone use a steak knife to cut off her hair. She had matts on her rear end but nowhere else. Why'd they have to skin her? I paid a lot of money for this puppy and now my kids say she looks like a crackhead. I took photos right before she got her cut and i'll show photos of it after. Also, my dog was soooo dehydrated & hot for being there from 1-6:30 pm. But my friend suggested I look into Jenny Sue's and I was desperate for a groomer, so I figured it couldn't hurt. When we got there, my dog waked right in- something calming about being there, I guess. I didn't have to coerce her or force her to go inside. She went right in, tail wagging. I explained my preferences to Randi, and left Shadow in her care. They texted me to come pick her up and Shadow (my doodle girl) was absolutely perfect. Randi did a fabulous job de-matting her and making her look exactly the way we wanted her to. More importantly, Shadow was happy and not fearful at all. Randi is a gem and we adore her! When we went to check out, I almost cried because it was so much. more affordable than any other place we had been!! Seriously- in this economy, we need all the help we can get, so after all of that, we decided we are Jenny Sue's fans for life! Today was our first visit to Jenny Sue's pet grooming. My sweet Samson it quite sensitive. Typically he hates every grooming place I bring him to. He seems miserable when I pick him up and generally acts like he has been mistreated and pouts for a day or two. Today when I arrived to collect my perfectly pamper pooch I was expecting the worst but he seemed happy! They did a great job on his grooming and I think he will actually get out of the car the next time I drop him for grooming! I love the themed picture collage that they post every week, obviously Samson was the cutest pumpkin in the patch.
