    Damaged area from furnace removal
    Bryce M.

Wow!!! We are so impressed with Enrique's (K&K Flooring) work. He did an amazing job repairing an area in our 1955 original oak hardwood floors that had been exposed after we had our old in-wall furnace removed. He matched the color, texture, and finish extremely well- far better than we thought was possible. He showed us different stain finish options, so we were involved in the process of trying to match the colors which made us feel good. His pricing is very reasonable, he showed up on time, worked quickly and cleanly. Plus, he's a super nice guy. We will work with him any time we have hardwood flooring work in the future. 10/10, highly recommend. Here are some pictures of the before and after. Thanks Enrique!

Great service, quick repairs, and friendly services by Enrique. We had a few spots that were buckled on our floors, I requested a quote and Enrique responded within minutes and showed up the next morning to do the repairs - even during the holidays! He was very transparent before he began the repairs. Thanks again, Enrique!

Completion of replacing water damaged laminate planks flooring

Excellent service! Enrique was very professional and courteous. He was on time which is rare! He helped us with taking out and replacing part of our laminate floors due to water damage. He was very methodical and precise with his work. He takes pride in his work no matter how big or small the jobs is. I will definitely without hesitation recommend his services to anyone who needs flooring done.

I dislike about 95% of the carpet out there ... but don't have the option of putting in hard floors. My pickiness was no match for Andrew, however; he helped me find that needle in the haystack. He pulled out collections that fit my criteria, throwing them on the showroom floor and having me home in on the promising ones via process of elimination. When I showed him some varieties of carpet that I liked from a company outside of The Floor Store's network, he researched them to see if their products met his standards and if working with them would go smoothly (not so much). He got an in-network vendor to send larger samples so that I could really see what various styles would look like in my home. And he walked me through the contract process step by step, making sure I understood exactly what I was signing and paying for. Once that contract was signed, everything moved quickly. Andrew checked in during installation and even humored me at the final stage, allowing me to give him a virtual tour once the carpet was laid. I would certainly recommend him and The Floor Store to anyone looking to get new hard floors or carpet. It's probably not the cheapest option, but my anecdotal evidence tells me that the service can't be beat.

The manager said all the flooring was just as good but unfortunately this doesn't actually give us comparable facts (veneer thickness, overall thickness of flooring, etc.). My feeling is that the brands here are limited. I looked up a brand of flooring they recommended and it was a lower end brand probably made in China. That may be just fine but I am also weary about off-gassing. Where the product is made and where the materials come from does matter to me. I'm currently looking at online venders where products come from Sweden that actually end up being similarly priced with very little off-gassing and is sustainable. I found some good contractors off Angi online and will be overseeing the project myself. While the quote given to me was reasonable (9500) for the first floor of my home, I would feel more comfortable having more choices in the material that I walk on and breath in everyday.

Through that process, I learned that much of the price difference comes down to the quality of the materials and the installation. Granada Floors offered a great balance of quality materials, reasonable pricing, and superior personal attention. It's important to me to support local, small businesses, and I was excited to learn that Granada Floors is also a women-owned business. That's when I met Mona, and from the beginning, she was a joy to work with. Mona is a warm professional who clearly takes pride in the products she offers. Her family has been in the flooring business for decades, and she now owns Granada Floors. With a background in interior design, she doesn't just sell flooring--she comes to your home to consult with you about what will work best in terms of colors, materials, and budget. She is honest, diligent, and very easy to work with. Communication was excellent throughout the process. The installation was completed in just two days in my 1,400 sq ft home, installing 12 mm waterproof laminate flooring throughout. The floors look beautiful and have completely transformed the space. I highly recommend Mona and Granada Floors!

We had MSI Trecento XL Carrara Avell flooring installed throughout our home, and the finished flooring is absolutely beautiful. It has transformed our home, the new baseboards look great, and we are very happy with the overall result. The installation did take considerably longer than expected due to scheduling delays, the extensive floor preparation that was needed, and later an unexpected shortage of flooring material. The amount of dust generated during the work also made it necessary for us to stay in a hotel for 11 nights. What I especially appreciated was how Rudy handled the difficulties. He remained professional, listened to our concerns, apologized for the problems we experienced, and worked with us on compensation that covered much of our hotel expense. That willingness to listen and work toward a fair resolution made a big difference to us. Our advice to anyone planning a large flooring project would be to discuss scheduling, crew availability, dust containment, and material planning in detail beforehand. Renovations can have unexpected complications, but ultimately what matters is both the quality of the finished work and how a company responds when problems arise. We love our new floors and are very happy with how beautiful our home looks now.

There were a few spots where the hardwood was decaying. I've heard that this flooring (5/16 x 2 in hardwood) can be difficult to remove in sections without damaging the areas around them, and can result in awkward patches that look noticeably different. But he did it so well that we couldn't tell where the old hardwood stopped and the new one began. He also worked with us to figure out what kind of stains worked best for our home and created a few samples on our actual hardwood. Not only that, but I stupidly messed up the stain on one section by dropping some cleaning chemicals on it before it fully cured, and he came back and refinished the section. He did this while refusing extra fees and on a short timeline (we wanted to move into the house). Even after the project, he's been extremely helpful in helping me understand how to care for my floors and advising on other projects. I've never met a contractor that is so professional and generous with his knowledge. He also came in as the middle quote out of the contractors that provided estimates. Worth every penny and more. Overall in terms of quality, speed, communication, cost, and professionalism, Thach cannot be beat.

I wish I got more updates during construction but they sent them whenever I asked. I liked that they were very contentious about talking with my neighbor when their van was blocking a little bit of their driveway--a lot of contractors wouldn't bother. I also had another neighbor who was causing some issues and they kept me in the loop, which I appreciated. - Price: I talked to several contractors and their price was pretty reasonable--not the lowest nor the highest, more in the middle. Cons: - After construction, I noticed some damage on parts that were supposed to be protected. They were minor damages, but annoying. The most noticeable one was a dent on my TV, which left a white dot that I see every time I turn on my TV, which sucks. - In terms of details, I noticed that there were some dings in pretty noticeable parts of the wood. I don't know if it was the crew or the wood came like that, but when I was testing a wood sample before purchasing, I hit the wood with a hammer and it didn't leave a mark, so it would take a lot of force to leave a dent like the one pictured. Kinda disappointing because the dent is smack in the middle of a high traffic area. Some last notes: - David came by to do a final walk through and helped me move some of the heavier furniture back. It didn't bother me but if you're expecting furniture to be put back the way it was originally, you'll want to manage your expectations. - You should definitely hire painters and cleaners after the construction--I didn't think the walls were going to be as scuffed up as they were. And everything will be superrrr dusty, even if it's covered. - When I expressed concern about not all baseboards being replaced, which I thought was the scope of work, he explained that he told his crew to use existing baseboards when possible. He said he did this to save me some cost and offered me $150 to cover the savings. I generally feel positive about this, although if I hadn't mentioned it I don't think it would've come up, so take that for what it's worth.
