We came here over a recent weekend and I had a photo of a Shaw flooring that I liked. The manager was nice enough to find a matching color but they didn't carry the Shaw brand. The manager said all the flooring was just as good but unfortunately this doesn't actually give us comparable facts (veneer thickness, overall thickness of flooring, etc.). My feeling is that the brands here are limited. I looked up a brand of flooring they recommended and it was a lower end brand probably made in China. That may be just fine but I am also weary about off-gassing. Where the product is made and where the materials come from does matter to me. I'm currently looking at online venders where products come from Sweden that actually end up being similarly priced with very little off-gassing and is sustainable. I found some good contractors off Angi online and will be overseeing the project myself. While the quote given to me was reasonable (9500) for the first floor of my home, I would feel more comfortable having more choices in the material that I walk on and breath in everyday. read more

Service requested: 5/5 I was on the hunt for some porcelain tiles in a beige/off-white color. Granada floors had 3-4 different tiles I was trying to pick from that met this criteria, appearance-wise they were so stunning it was a bit difficult for me to even choose which to go with. Quality and value: 5/5 My previous cracked porcelain tile was removed, and new MSI onyx porcelain tile was put in. So far, I have had no issues and the grout color was an easy pick. The tiles themselves feel very durable and the patterns on the tiles in each box is diverse enough that one does not need to worry about having too many of one particular print. Customer service: 5/5 Ali, the gentleman who helped me decide which tile to pick, is extremely knowledgeable and informative. The tiles arrived within about a week, and he even offered to have them delivered sooner. I had updates on the arrival as well, which was a very useful touch. After living with cheap carpet my dog destroyed and boring linoleum floors for 6 years, it was time for an overhaul. I decided to go with luxury vinyl plank flooring since it is the best option with a dog in the house: waterproof, durable, and stylish. On recommendation from a friend who recently had his floors done, I called Granada Flooring. Mona was very knowledgeable and helpful, and being that this was a small business a mile down the road, I was able to take home several floor samples to compare. We went to visit the store on a Saturday, picked out our flooring that same day, and installation began on Friday. Within 7 days, I had beautiful new flooring. Mona made the process so easy and seamless. I must also give a shoutout to our installer Mike. I was told to expect 3-4 guys, but Mike was the only one who could make it. However, I could not believe the rapid speed in which he ripped up the old carpet, demoed the tile, and leveled the floor. By 6pm, 85 percent of the flooring was already done. Mike came back the next day and completed the floors in a couple of hours, and his attention to detail and precise workmanship showed that he had been doing this forever. Being that I am OCD and very nitpicky about details, everything was done perfectly with virtually no input from my end. I am loving my new floors. I have been putting off reflooring my family room for a couple years (since my dog ate a corner of the carpet) because I was worried about the hassle involved in redoing the floor. I knew I wanted to switch to tile so my dog couldn't destroy the floor again. I finally got around to dealing with the floor this year, and worked with Ali at their Floor Gallery location in Fremont. He was super responsive and made the whole process quick and painless. I am a teacher, and it was already pretty late in the summer and I wanted to get the project finished before the school year started. Once the tile was picked, they were able to schedule the job quickly (within a week or two). They had told me that the project would probably take three days, but they managed to finish it in two. I used Granada last year to install laminated flooring on the first floor of my house with new base boards and they did a terrific job. I hired them this year around June to install new carpeting on the stairs and all the bedrooms on the second floor. I got quotes from several stores and Granada price was within the ball park of the others quotes I received. The installation went smoothly and the carpet looked and felt great. There were a couple areas in which I was disappointed. I told them I had a squeak in one section of the floor which they said they would fix but they never did. Also the base board work was not up to par with the person who installed the base board the year before on the first floor. These are minor problems I could live with but disappointed that the workmanship` was lacking this time around. They are still a good company and reasonably priced. read more

Needing to reface our fireplace, I was referred to Granada through a wholesaler since I had been unable to locate a local supplier who carried a specific product. I was delighted to learn that right here in El Sobrante a new store was about to open and one who carried all the products I would need. I gave them a call and we made an appointment and met with Ali the following day. Though the store had not yet officially opened to the public, he did everything to accommodate my needs. He was very helpful, offering a few suggestions and I placed an order the very same day. The following day, I was able to pick up the entire shipment from a warehouse. Everything was in perfect condition and there were no errors in the order, since numerous different items were ordered. A few days later, the contractor was working on the job when a subtle design change was made and I needed quickly to purchase additional material. I texted Ali with all the necessary information and shortly thereafter he replied to tell me that the item had been order and would be ready for pickup an hour later. This really helped the contractor and me, so that there would be no loss of time on the project. It is for this very reason, I gave Granada a 5 star review. Granada Floors just finished replacing the floor in my entire home with a mix of vinyl spc flooring and carpet in the bedrooms only. Mona helped me from day 1 with measurements and explaining the different options we had available. After selecting the floors we wanted, we decided to wait for the install to occur for a few months to ensure we had everything in order. When it came time for the floors to be installed, everyone showed up when they were supposed to. The three guys that installed the floor were great and did an extremely professional job with only one small snafu. The caulking around the toilets upon completion was done quickly and just looks messy (but this would be truly nitpicking every little thing) and Mona offered to have them come back and fix it, but my wife wants to replace the toilets now so no point to re-caulk around them. I went their with my sister a few weeks ago to pick out some flooring for her house and as soon as we walked in we noticed that the owner was giving us attitude, we didn't think anything of it so we kept looking around until we found a floor we liked. We finally found something we liked and decided to make a deal, but we did not know about their cash policy so we told her that we needed to go to the bank and get the funds... She seemed really desperate to make a sale and offered to go with us to the bank.. Who does that!!!!!! I told her no and that we would be back.First of all it was way overpriced, and the customer service was horrible!!!! I am never going back and am never going to recommend this place to anyone. However, Granada tile Hardwood provided fantastic professional service installing flooring at my house, so I felt an obligation to do so. I've worked with a number of contractors on various projects and I can easily say that Granada is head and shoulders above the rest.
