EXPERIENCE: Naturally I jumped on Yelp and utilized the site's useful quote feature where it also sends the inquiry to multiple businesses if you wish. Long story short, MCS had the best rating out of everyone and responded quickly (next day). I got a quote of $190/hour with a minimum of 2-hours. Due to the location and size of the furniture that needed to be moved, my spouse asked the owner, Mark, if he could come by just to check everything out so we wouldn't be surprised with any additional fees (which there weren't any). He happily agreed, even driving to the furniture's final destination point to check out the location. We agreed to move everything on a specific date a few days down the road. A medium-sized box truck and four workers arrived 15-minutes early on moving day. Out of courtesy, they asked if we wanted their shoes on or off (it's a Hawaii thing!) Pieces were professionally wrapped with protective plastic with utmost care not to cause damage to walls, light fixtures, etc. I was very impressed with an ingenious arm strap that was used to lift and move a very heavy cabinet. I could picture me blowing out my back trying to lift it without leverage. Delivery was just as efficient as pick up. We called them a second time as we had a last minute move of a custom-built bed. Regardless of their 2-hour minimum, Mark was cool and charged us to the next 15-minute rather than the hour. Thanks, man! OVERALL: The high-rating is legit! He was also flexible with his timing and arrived earlier than the appointed time as he knew that I preferred it this way. Raymond (we call him Uncle Happy) picks up the dumpster bins at Kaahumanu Church. My 3-year old son, Mauloa, absolutely LOVES garbage trucks and is always standing outside our house waiting for our Maui County rubbish pick ups on Tuesday and Friday, our neighbors County pick up on Mondays, and the churches Maui Disposal pick up on Thursdays. As soon as we see Raymond driving up Main Street in Wailuku, we can already see his big smile and see him waving at Mau. As a mother, it just melts my heart to see wonderful people who my son idolizes show such delightful feedback to these keiki. Mau always gets so excited and will talk about Uncle Happy all day. On Christmas Eve, I heard the Maui Disposal truck picking up the rubbish while I got ready for work. My son had already left for the day with my father in law so I was disappointed that he wasn't going to get to see Uncle Happy that day.
