We needed movers on July 4th and Malik showed up with his team right on time. They worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully and there was no damage to anything. These guys are great. The other thing I appreciated about this company was the incredible communication. I initially got a quote over the phone which was followed by an email laying out what we discussed (he also sent a 2 page PDF of moving tips which was really helpful). Malik reiterated the moving date and time via text and made sure we had each other's phone numbers on moving day. The communication and professionalism was wow - amazing. Horrible experience with my move. The day of my move, Malik cancels. I should've used that as a chance to locate another mover, but I went along with allowing him to come the next morning. Things were not wrapped up such as TVs, mattresses, desk furniture, etc. Instructions had to be repeated several times. Once it was time to transfer to the new location, Malik took hours to arrive while his workers and I waited for him. He texted me about being stuck on traffic on a highway he didn't have to get on and when he finally arrived he had different clothes on. He allowed his workers to place most of my things in the basement when I told them they needed to be upstairs in bedrooms. He charged me an additional $200 because he went over time. Actually, an extra $225 because i was charged a booking deposit which never went to the cost of the move. I noticed the damages to my furniture such as, the TV that was stuffed in a closet, my dining room table, my desk and desk chair and a white dining room chair that he dirtied, likely bc none of them were wrapped. He also messed up my mattress which he did alert me of, but did not bother fixing. I called to tell him about my disappointment with the placement of items, in which instead of working to fix, he chose to yell at me. I chose this company bc I used K& M for a previous move. Only after this disaster did I realize they were 2 different companies. I hope that other company does not suffer because they were great and professional. I'm surprised about these ratings. I decided to go with K&M because my cousin used them for a previous move and they did a fantastic job. I did still price shop and K&M movers were significantly lower than the other 2 movers I received quotes from. They were about an hour late but Malek was in contact with me and instead of arriving with 4 guys as expected he arrived with 6. They were able to load my 3 bedroom apartment in just about an hour. They were so fast, and careful with my belonging. Anything of value was wrapped well. Every single one of the guys were friendly and accommodating. If I ever move again I will be using K&M. read more

Disappointed. Referred to K&M for handy man job...they may be better movers than handy men. The owner agreed to complete a handy man job (hang three TVs and 2 large mirrors). Service rate is $150 for the first hour + $75 per mount. The building is a high rise in Montgomery County. I found out later that building code requires metal studs in all high rises but the so-called handy man was unaware. After waiting 90 minutes for them to show up, the team started work. Unfortunately the team realized only after attempting to hang two TVs that the studs in this walls were metal and they did not have proper material (or knowledge) to hang them. They offered to return the next day (too late to finish the job as planned) to complete the mirror mounting, the small TV mount and patch the holes from the first attempt. Team 2 was not successful, timely or prepared to deliver as promised. The team came without tools, wall patch or proper hanging mounts for anything. After paying service fee, I am out money and still have to patch my holes, clean up the dirty finger prints from the walls and pay a real handy man to mount the TVs and mirrors. I just wish they had acknowledged that they were not equipped to mount TVs but could assist in my living needs. Be careful what you commit to with this company. read more

BEWARE!!! DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT use this moving company for your move or anything else for that matter. On my move day, owner, Malik, was very unprofessional and very unpleasant from the time they arrived. I used him based on a referral from a friend and never thought to check previous reviews and ratings; HUGE mistake. Prior to my move, Malik asked how much furniture and boxes I'd be moving, I told him everything I had in my condo from front to back and estimated 21 boxes along with the furniture, etc. However, I ended up having 30 boxes instead of 21. I also tried to get Malik to do a virtual assessment in order to provide a more accurate quote, but that never happened. When he walked in my condo, he became extremely frazzled and rude and proceeded to tell me that I had much more than I'd told him which is a lie. Nine medium boxes that are fully intact, in my opinion isn't much more. He quoted a rate of $735, $50 reservation fee and $45 insurance fee. Once the move was completed, he charged $975 which was $240 more than quoted. He left many items in the condo that my son ended up having to make three trips back and forth to retrieve the rest of our items. During the move, several of my items were damaged by Malik. He dropped my dresser mirror and broke one of the wood slats off the back. One of my dining room chairs were cracked and he used a marker to try and conceal scratches to dining room table. There was damage to the walls as well. He has offered to come by to repair stating that it would be better for him to repair than me to file and insurance claim. Malik never offered an apology for the damage he caused, but offered plenty of excuses for what happened. Did a search and do not see his company, K&M Delivery/Moving as a registered business in the state of MD. I have never taken this amount of time to write a review, but this one is warranted. K&M was recommended to me by a close friend. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. #1-Our original move date was cancelled for 6-7 flakes of snow. #2- The team showed up more than 1.5 hours late. #3- The 4 person teamed showed up and only 2 were properly wearing a mask. We are in a pandemic where 500k+ people have lost their lives. #4- They broke the glass front door with my sleeper sofa and then blamed us for not telling them we had one. I guess these guys are blind. #5- After arriving at our new home, Malik and his team could not figure out how to get my couch into the basement, so they 1st left it in my yard then moved it into another part of the house. We had painters on site who placed the couch in the basement by merely removing the couch feet. Moving 101. #6- After getting an emergency repair for the door, Malik is currently refusing to reimburse me the cost of the door repair. Without full reimbursement, I will be suing him for a portion of the move costs, the broken door and interest. Additionally, I will be reporting them to our county's CO-VID task force for the improper masks. I highly suggest you do NOT utilize this company. read more

Used these guys to move in October. They were fast and cheap but not careful with the furniture. I have a few pieces of furniture that I pointed out to them (4 to be exact) that asked them to be careful with and wrap. I was in the other room when I heard banging and came out to see the guy hoisting the large case on to the dolly without wrapping it or locking down the doors. I stopped and watched them after that. They also dropped and broke one of the shelves on another piece of furniture. Now, I packed my stuff but there was several dishes broken. I am mentioning this because I walked out of the house and went out to the truck and saw them coming off the truck with a stack of boxes piled high and they lost control and the boxes started to fall over and the other guy caught it. If you have a lot of second hand furniture that you don't care about and just need muscle to move stuff, these guys are cheap and cheerful and fast. But if you have furniture you care about and want it treated well, spend the extra and get the Two Marines moving company. They took care of the stuff. They were also supposed to be there between 9 and 10 and did not arrive until 10:30, but they did call around 10 to let me know they would late. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with my move. The actual movers were great, but the company sent me one less mover than I requested and quoted way under what the actual price was going to be. I was told my move would be about 5 hours and it took almost 9 hours. Three people helped move versus four. Although I was told it would not have made a difference in price to have the additional mover I would have preferred not to spend 8 hours moving. In addition, they did not break any big ticket items just one small vase. All other items were moved with no damage. read more

My wife and I moved from Lanham to Bowie. They showed up late but were very friendly. We completed the move in less time than the quote but tried to charge me for full time. I also paid a fee of 20$ to book the appt but it never went to the cost of the move. They tracked spots on my carpet and my wife felt uncomfortable. Ill probably never use them again read more

BEWARE! I wish I had viewed the reviews here, but I based my decision to hire K&M on the positive reviews on the UHAUL site and a referral from a friend. K&M states that they "promise to deliver quality service focused on providing you with a hassle free moving experience". This couldn't be further from the truth. 1) There were still a few items left in my apt, but movers left without telling me. They had a set of keys I had provided so they could get access to the elevator & I couldn't turn over my apt, since they left with my keys. I kept calling the driver and the President of K&M, Malik. No answer. Malik's VM was full, and I couldn't even leave a message. When I finally get a call back from the driver, it takes him 15-20 mins to come back, and when he sees how upset I am, he gets aggressive with me, and starts yelling at me. He has Malik call me. When I tell Malik I no longer feel safe after his driver got aggressive with me, he tells me my feelings are "irrelevant", and he starts yelling at me too. I am then forced to pay $230 more than what was originally estimated for the move, and told that if I don't pay right then and there (while my stuff is on the truck), they won't deliver. 2) Today, a week after the move, I was unpacking and moved a mirror that had been leaning against a wall, covering up an oil painting I brought back from a trip to Guatemala. I discovered the mirror had been placed that way to strategically cover up a big tear on the oil painting that occurred during the move. When I called Malik, to discuss the tear on the painting, he hung up on me. When I called back, he did not answer. read more
