The company had responded very promptly to my original contact requesting a quote and a schedule of availability. I decided to go with K&M based on their responsiveness, their estimate, and their excellent reviews. They were able to accommodate the time I requested, arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and worked efficiently to get my items moved. They were unfailingly courteous and concerned about ensuring that items were placed in my new place in the way I needed them. All in all they made a process I dread as painless as it could be made, for which I'm so grateful. Obviously I would highly recommend this company for any moving job. Update: We used K&M again to move my daughter from her apartment in NYC to Towson, and once again K&M provided the best quote and provided top notch service, arriving at her apartment early in the morning, fighting through traffic to get to Maryland in a timely way, and then setting up her furniture upon their arrival here. We were moving a four bedroom house into a 26ft truck from Va to Ga into a smaller home (temporarily) and had things packed that were for storage as well as our new home. There are 4 of us and we had a TON of stuff to move so yes we were nervous that we wouldn't have enough space in the truck for everything but Mr Mamadou, Kareem and Ricky were absolutely amazing! They were able to maximize space and strategically place boxes and furniture into the truck -securely in a little over three hours! I've used moving companies before but they are honestly the best. My movers cancelled the night before and Kevin gladly accepted the job and made a very stressful time for me go smooth and worry free. They even went the extra mile and dropped off a couple of pieces of furniture I had borrowed from my sister in a nearby neighborhood.....I don't think any of the "big dog moving companies" would of agreed to the extra trip without charging me a ton extra. K&M Movers are as good as it gets. We had Khareem, Ricky and Ronnie and I'd highly recommend them! We just needed help moving our big things (2 beds, couch, 2 dressers, and a tv console) and we called several moving companies but none of them were willing to do this. They all required a minimum timeframe of 3 hours and even with these few items we got quoted to around $700! It was crazy. We called K&M Movers and they had no problem moving whatever we needed. They required us to rent a truck and they said they would provide two guys. They told us for 2 hours it would be $160 and then an additional $70 per hour after that. The truck cost about $120. They showed up about 10-15 minutes after the original time they told us but this was no problem for us as we knew they had a morning job before us. They showed up with 3 guys! We weren't sure if they were going to charge us more but at this point we just wanted to move so we didn't even care to ask. We planned on helping them load the truck to make it go by faster but we found that they were so efficient we didn't want to interrupt them. So we just let them move everything onto the truck and they were done within 30 minutes! They then got in their cars and followed us to our new house. We had a ton of stairs at the new house but not once did they complain. They were respectful and kind. They seemed to really care about us and our belongings. I've had my company move me in the past with professional movers and K&M blew those guys away! If I needed moving help again I'd call K&M. We ended up taking 3 hours in total. Our cost came out to $230 just as originally quoted for. We loved them so much we had to give them a tip! In total with the cost of movers + truck + tip it was $500. Like I said earlier, we were being quoted at around $700 for other moving companies in the area and that was just to move our big stuff. K&M moved everything for us at a great price. Mammadu is someone who I met in an event in downtown baltimore. Instanly we connected on the fact of us doing our own side hustle. He is a youtuber and I started following his videos. While chatting with him about youtube and my Instagram and other things I was doing on the side, he mentioned he has a moving business. I told him we would need and he came through big time. Him and his staff completed our move yesterday. They were very professional, did things in a timely manner, and most of all they did the job well. From disassembling to driving to our new place to reassembling to picking up stuff, it all went so smooth. I have moved about 12 times over the past 25 years and K&M Movers were, without a doubt, the best, most responsive and responsible movers I have ever used. I never had any concerns or problems getting in touch with Malik regarding the details of the move, and he was extraordinarily helpful in rescheduling multiple times to deal with last minute changes. A 4-person crew (Shamil, Lawrence, Ed, and Robert) arrived to pack and load my belongings. They were helpful and thorough throughout the process, checking with me with any questions, but also more than able to work independently without me supervising every second. Two crew members then drove the truck to my new address in NJ and unloaded everything very carefully. Now I'm in the middle of unpacking and am just so impressed with the care taken to pack like items together and label every box.
