There was damage to one panel and the license plate light, they said they would take care of it no problem. A few other problems came up about took the trailer back to them on December 7 of 2024 and haven't seen my trailer since. Today is May 20, 2025. If I sneak in a call I get that beating around the bush feel. They made me feel like the interior panels wouldn't be covered under warranty delaminating, but the manufacturer assured me it was. No responses to emails now. I am in negotiations with lightning trailers to fix some of the problems and they won't even call them back. They backed into my trailer and damaged a few more panels. I asked for pictures about a month ago and they won't send me pictures of the damage. I live over 2 1/2 hours away so I can't just drop in. michael's Customer service is horrible and warranty. Service is horrible. I can't believe I am the only negative review on their page.

It could have caused a significant accident. When we called to report the damage, the staff was totally unsympathetic and said it was my fault. They were not willing to take any responsibility for a significant lapse of customer care. They were unwilling to rectify the damage to a brand new trailer caused by their negligence.

I also needed some other random parts and screws and he just gave me a couple of them rather than charging me. This is what gets me back in the store. The other day I was looking for an extension cord for my RV and went out of my way to stop in here. Same guy was there trying to eat his lunch, but he stopped and went into the back to check if they had what I was looking for. They didn't in this case but he immediately offered to order it for me. A great mix of parts and accessories and very knowledgeable staff make this my "go to" stop when I need something.

Today I went back in for some caulking material and to browse their used parts inventory. Ed, the professional and helpful salesperson, came out to greet me personally. He looked at me and asked my last name. I told him, and he said, "you forgot an item here last time." They held a $6 weatherstrip for me behind the counter for a month in a box labeled with my name on it that I had forgotten during my previous visit. He even went as far as to try to look me up in the phone book. Thank you, Ed, and the staff at Modern RV for your honesty and integrity. You've earned a loyal customer for life.

Given the review that was first on here we were naturally a bit reserved in doing business with them but the staff made us comfortable and was very generous with time and explanation. The price was good and the time spent at their desk was minimal. The facility was well stocked and brand new. We decided to give it a shot and are happy with what we bought and how they treated us. Naturally you must always also consider what happens if things go awry, as Vicky's story and photos illustrate. I think the owner put effort in to fix but lots of in-hindsight bad decisions seem to be made by both sides. So, long story short, we went here, got a good deal and the exact trailer we wanted, good advice and speedy service. Hope this adds some balance to the rating. For trailers you can tow home: 0 worries that this is a great place to buy from. When putting shippers in the middle? Not sure if any place would come out clean.

What started off as a ok customer service experience quickly turned into a nightmare. I bought an…read more80k Toyhauler that was made by ATC. They are supposed to honor ATC warranty work because they sell them there. At first they were helpful in servicing the trailer under warranty, but then decided not to service my trailer that was still under warranty. They told me it was because I didn't buy it from them, even though they are one of the biggest dealers of ATC in the Midwest. They also said they weren't going to sell them anymore because of quality issues, even though I see them for sale in front of the dealership every time I drive by. When I purchased it, they were all sold out because of Covid. I bought it in Indiana knowing they sold and serviced them In Kalamazoo. It's like having a Chevy dealership unwilling to fix a Chevy under warranty. I ended up having to sell it because they were the ones I was depending on to work on it. I lost 10k in the transaction. Luckily the person buying it from me was out of state and would never ever need Premier Custom Trailers for warranty work. What a nightmare they created for me as a customer! Do not deal with this company if you value your sanity and your dignity. My biggest financial regret in recent memory. On top of it, there is an attitude that quickly shifts against you if they no longer care about helping you. Avoid!
