I also got to meet the owner and esthetician/advanced certified lash extensionist Becky R. while I was filling out initial forms at the counter, she was super welcoming. I have gotten several lash lifts before from Danielle starting in 2019 (she is trained to also do classic and volume lash extensions too) but at another salon in Sacramento; I was happy to follow her here to her new spot. Tranquility is easy to get to, just a couple of miles from the Folsom Blvd exit from Highway 50 and Blue Ravine Road. Tranquility Spa is a very nice, clean, calming space. Masks required, temperature taken, everything wiped down. Since it was later in the day there weren't any other clients so I'm unsure how busy it can get with other services available such as hydro microdermabrasion, facials, waxing, and Novalash eyelash extensions, mink lash sets. For me, Elleebana brand lash lift was the product used ($75), but in general I like that this treatment/service is semi-permanent, enhances my natural lashes from the base and gives that appearance of being perfectly curled or straight, upright, longer, darker, and defined. You can still wear mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc. but I've found that they look great even without anything applied, albeit not as much drama as a fuller/volume set. I do recommend a clear lash conditioner though for daily brushing. As an alternative to eyelash extensions which are glued on individually, lash lifts require very little/low maintenance but results are long-lasting! Last lifts typically last up to 8 weeks depending on your lash growth cycle and the entire appointment was quick, 45 minutes to an hour at most. The process is simple, safe, and painless -- relax, lay back with eyes closed the whole time and just listen to the music as the tech does her magic. Bottom and top eyelids covered with gel pad (shield?); a silicone rod (S, M, or L) placed on to determine which size best suits your lashes and will achieve the best lift. Water-soluble lash glue is used to push the natural lashes back onto the rod. Lash setting solution is applied for 5-7 minutes on both sides, then gets removed with a swab. Lash neutralizer is applied for 5 minutes on both sides, then solution and rods are removed. If tinting, this would be done last. The first 24 hours after getting the lift do have some limits, but after that you're home free! So much easier than dealing with eyelash curlers everyday, or eyelash extensions that have more involved aftercare/refills, upkeep, restrictions, and commitment to maintain. I did not get a lash tint as my natural lashes are already pretty dark black. Always more than satisfied with my results, and Danielle really is a pro. Note that a minimum of 1-2 months should be observed before getting another lash lift. Danielle is a licensed cosmetologist with a great eye for detail and a sweet, gentle approach; her warm personality and technical skills have made me a dedicated client! The place was empty which was very surprising but later I learned that most of their business os appointment only which to me seems less chaotic and less rushed for the person receiving the treatment. Quan started my pedicure right away. She asked what scent I would like for the pedicure package I chose (I picked thr bliss and watermelon scent). She was very considerate about the water temperature and the pressure of her hands when she was massaging my calves and feet. She took really great care of my toes. I can honestly say that this was the least painful pedicure Ive ever had and she got my ingrown out and really cleaned up my toes. They look fantastic. For my fingers I chose the builder gel full set because I want to keep my natural nails and I like them short since I do a lot of typing and yard work. I picked a color an Thuy did a great job matching up my longer nails with my broken shorter nails so they looked more uniform. We had great conversation and I felt really comfortable. I left feeling really satisfied with my experience and knowing that I just found my new nail spot. I've had my lashes done a few times elsewhere over the years if I was out of town and couldn't get to Alice, and those sets never lasted *nearly* as long as Alice's do. Never a badly placed lash, never any irritation from the tape to my eyes, both sides are perfectly even and they last forever. Her prices are very fair for the quality of the work, and if you're a frequent flyer, then you get 50% off your eleventh service. I can't compare to other lash salons in the area, because I don't think you can improve on Alice's skills anywhere, so why even try? Alice has my business as long as we are anywhere in the area.
