Visiting the area so time is limited called in advance to see if they were busy and could take us as we were walking and would be there in 5 minutes. They said yes so we started on our way. Once there we wait 10 minutes before someone comes and tells us that our table is being cleaned. 5 minutes later another person comes and tells us our table is ready but we have to be finished in 20 minutes! Beyond frustrating, why not say that when I called. Needless to say we won't be recommending them. Very poor customer service. read more

I tried Korean food for the first time, and I chose k grill. I gave four stars instead of five. I'll explain why! I ordered the mixed veggie bibimbap on SkipTheDishes for pickup since it's literally two blocks from my place of work, may as well pickup! Anyways, the sauce was absolutely delicious! Could have used less bean sprouts, next time I'll ask for none. I hate them but wanted an authentic experience. I also didn't think it would have been mixed already when I got it. I thought I could have just brushed them off. But it was mixed! I ordered an extra egg by mistake because clearly I'm not smart haha! First time having kimchi, oh my goodness I'm in love! It was a bit spicy but not in a bad way. Awesome flavour! Next time I'll order a side of kimchi, there was three pieces of kimchi (this is why my review is four stars!!) more kimchi! The miso soup was yucky, I really didn't enjoy it. There was one teeny piece of tofu in it and two pieces of seaweed. But I also discovered I just don't like miso, not sure if it was authentic or not as I've never had it before. Did not enjoy though. I was excited to see a new Korean BBQ house open right downtown but I left quite disappointed. For lunch, it's $17/person for the basic chicken, beef and pork. For dinner it's $25/person mon-thurs and $26/person fri-sun which includes all the meat like chicken, shrimp, salmon, kalbi, beef etc. My friends and I couldn't justify paying $26 for ayce so we decided to order a la carte. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that ordering from the "grill" menu meant it would be served already cooked. For $12 you can pick 3 kinds of meat (chicken, beef, pork or kalbi). It arrived in a nice looking bento box with a side of rice, bean sprouts, tofu and miso soup. The meat was extremely salty, forcing me to fill up on a ton of rice but for $12 it was a big portion. My other friend ordered seafood soup and while the base was tasty, she was disappointed it didn't come with noodles. They give you a side of rice but it's very awkward trying to pour the soup into the rice. Definitely would have been better as a ramen type of dish. Overall nothing blew me away at kgrill. The meat was chewy and I've seen better quality meat at other kbbq places in London for the same price. read more

Love eating here, the food is delicious! And a lot of fun to make your own. The prices are pretty reasonable, even dinner. I would never go for something other than the all you can eat, however. Staff on the other hand is a hit or miss, there's always only one server which never makes any sense as they usually seem pretty busy, staff isn't always the friendliest either, and since there's always ever only one person serving service can also be really slow as well. This place is awesome. I'd never been to a Korean bbq place until I went here with family. The meat is seasoned well, and the table set up is just fun! Wasn't a fan of the shrimp, which they serve whole. It tastes fine and is seasoned nicely, but de-shelling is kind of a bother. The Kimchi is great, and their system of bringing out the raw food in small stackable dishes is easy to pass around and share. The only complaint I have is about their grill cleaning. After you're done one round, they shut down the grill, wait for it to cool (5 minutes), remove the dirty grill top (5 minutes), and wait to bring out a clean one (10 minutes). 20 minutes of waiting to continue eating aren't just excessive, it's not smart for business. By the time we were done waiting for the new grill top, we were starting to lose our appetite. If you're getting the all-you-can-eat option, watch out for that. It could mean you have more trouble finishing the second round of food. As with most a.y.c.e. options, you have to pay for what you don't finish, so some part of me wonders if this isn't some sort of sneaky strategy to make you full faster. This place has good food for the price but i'm giving them a 4 star because theres isn't alot of consistency in how they prepare the dishes and the soups are completely hit or miss. Sometimes the soups (miso and pork radish) taste like dish water, just bland and flavourless and other times its fairly good. It seems like it depends on whose working, but no one does it the exact same which is an issue, people expect consistency. Another example is if you get the grilled chicken its either cut in massive chunks or small chunks. I would go back becasuse it's still good but there's room for improvement. read more

When we first arrived the young girls that were working were on their phones and the music was so loud. When my mother asked one of the girls to turn it down she made a face and made very little attempt to accommodate my mothers request. Having never eaten here before and asked how it worked, they weren't very helpful in explaining. The service was slow but the food was somewhat tasty. Overall it was an ok experience. read more

I was really excited to see a Korean restaurant open up just a short walk from my house. However, once I saw the menu I was a little disappointed. I decided to give it a go anyway and went for AYCE. I tried one of each of the meat offerings, the grill gave them a nice flavor but as others have mentioned they were quite salty. We did not receive any lettuce wraps or fermented soy bean paste which I thought was customary for Korean BBQ. The options for sides for AYCE were: tofu, bean sprouts, and kimchi I believe. Not enough selection in my opinion considering you could travel a short distance to one of the other AYCE places in town and have a gigantic menu at your disposal. The absolute best Korean Grill restaurant in London thus far. The meat is seasoned perfectly - especially the ribs. They have the in-table gas grill which is amazing!!!! They come and change your grill out multiple times so the meat doesn't get that burnt taste. Love this place! Will be going back again and again! Super fun for kids too! I have only been for dinner as the lunch menu is very small. Dinner is definitely worth it! read more

This is our 3rd time going to K Grill. 1st time was terrible. Both my kids liked it so we went back again. The food was fine the 2nd time. So when we were asked to go again for my daughters birthday we agreed. Well..there was 8 of us. The only ones that liked the food was my 2 kids and one of their boyfriends. 3 out of 8!! The bulgolgi was warm and bland. The salmon smelt and tasted way to fishy. My mother who is 80 and doesn't complain about anything could not finish her plate. We ordered 2 calamari appetizers and it came to us almost black! It was so hard that we could tap it on the plate and it crumbled. We sent it back. They removed it from our bill and sent us a new order. The 2nd one was a lot better but the calamari was so chewy you could tell it was not even close to being fresh. We will never go back! My family loves Koren food and are always wanting to try new places. If you want good Koren food go to Kimchi house! There food is fantastic and cheap! read more

Maybe the eat-in is good but the take-out/delivery should just stop. Don't offer what you can't deliver. First of all, out of kimchi. What kind of Korean restaurant runs out of kimchi? Replaced with pickled radish which I could have easily had for dessert it was so sweet. As were the sauces that came with mains. I can always add sugar if I want sweet but I can't take it away. Meat was okay. Tough, and I added my own extra (unsweetened) sauce. Not impressed. read more

Food is really good, I usually go for lunch as it is cheaper but dinner is still pretty good as well. The prices are really good for all you can eat, and I love being able to cook the food myself. Service is pretty lacklustre but other than that this place is great! read more
