We came here for karaoke night. I liked the fun and upbeat atmosphere. However, many of the patrons who sang karaoke, took over the list. Some of them wanted to show off their vocals. We put in our song request. But we never had the chance to sing our favorite songs. We came here for Sunday brunch. We felt the portions fell on the smaller side. Excellent location new location. Steps for the State Theater and the Commons. Just excellent and multiple vibes with cool arts adequate like stock of drinks and stuff. I didn't really do mixed drinks, though the bar was a little limited as per bottles and stuff go but the vibe was great. They were like theater people in there singing & cutting up a rug. (Seems like IC) When googled it a menu popped up and I got excited and I got there and I was like no food but they allow your order in and I'm like I'm actually there with like four chefs and like we should just like approach your owner and be like yo can we cook a night or two be like kind of cool like my friend makes jerk chicken and stuff be awesome but no the vibe is cool there they're cool seating like high ceilings. They have the basement up downstairs, which is usually flex space it's definitely worth checking out.. I think Farm to Feast is in the building and provide food but I'm unsure of the hours The one problem is that the payment system automatically add 20%. When the bartender gives you the POS machine, they don't subtotal it showing a breakdown, they just go to the tip screen. It's posted off to the side but not shown at the point of sale. read more

This is an amazing karaoke spot! There are private rooms and a public space near the bar. I thought the song selection was vast, and the themed rooms are so fun. You can get snacks but no hot food. If you want a fun activity to do with friends this is a great location in Ithica. read more

We always have such a good time here. Unlike a lot of karaoke bars, the drinks here are not terribly watered down and you get a great value. It's an absolute blast if you're able to score one of the bigger carpeted rooms with beanbags. The smaller rooms can be just a bit too cozy for my tastes. The staff is also very welcoming and very helpful. When I accidentally left my credit card, they went above and beyond to get it back to me by arranging a time when I could pick it up even when they were closed. I really appreciated that. read more

I have heard a lot about K-HOUSE but my first trip here exceeded my expectations! When you walk into K-HOUSE there is a main room open to the public where you can sing without paying anything. Private rooms are only $10 per person (including taxes and fees) and they round to the nearest half hour. The rooms themselves had such cute, detailed decorations, ours was Ithaca themed so it had the classic "Ithaca is Gorgeous" design on one side of the wall and plenty of maps, pennants, and pictures. Most importantly the actual karaoke was super fun, we took turns queuing up songs and sharing the two microphones for the 4 of us. We couldn't figure out how to get the singer's vocals to play in the background but we shed our pride after the first few songs and sang our hearts out :) Staff was friendly and accommodating and overall the place had good vibes. Many alums were skeptical, but we all had a fabulous time - singing, dancing, wandering between our 3 private rooms. I'd always wanted to try out an Asian style karaoke lounge, so I was excited when I found out one had opened in Ithaca. The experience did not disappoint. There are suites of varying sizes (as small as four or as big as thirty), each with a different theme, rentable by hour. The song selection catalogue is massive, with videos on screen to accompany the music (and light up tambourines if you're really theatrical.) The menu is fun and full of fusion foods and foreign snacks. The staff is super nice. When I went with a vegan friend, they went out of the way to adjust the menu so that she had options. All around K-house is a great time. If you're looking to add a little variety to your outings, look no further! read more

Thank GoD this place is Super Awesome and not overrated! This is a nice place to hangout with family and friends to help sing the blues away. Plus I love that they have a selections of good foods and beverages to choose from. Also lots of spacesius seating to keep you comfortable while you're Bringing in the holiday cheers, through the harsh and cold winters. K-House is the most incredible karaoke place I've been to, and that includes the ones I've visited in NYC, Hong Kong and South Korea. Who knew I'd find such a gem in Ithaca of all places? There are a number of private rooms, each of them themed -- some even have carpet so you can lounge around without shoes. Prices are $7/hr/person for groups of 10 or less, and $6/hr/person for groups of 11-20. You can search songs either from the songbooks or directly on the tablet (or on your phone, at the Playbox Karaoke website), then select them on the tablet. It's very user-friendly and modern, and there are songs of many languages to choose from. If you prefer performing for strangers, you can sing karaoke at the bar, which I believe is free. In addition to food and drink, there are plenty of Asian snacks available for purchase, from shrimp chips to Chocopies to Calpico! Service was very friendly both times I visited. The decor is amazing and I like that you can rent out rooms for events for privacy and there's so many cozy things to sit on that it's like friends all hanging out in your basement. I'm new in town, and was so delighted to find K-House, being quite an enthusiast of karaoke. It seems like an amazing place for not only karaoke, but also great food and drink, and a great atmosphere. However, I'm concerned that after several visits as guest to K-House, I have somehow been forgotten on the rotation list, or find myself wondering about: I was on the televised list of singers but then suddenly disappeared; I submitted a song and watched other performers sing more than one song before I was called to sing; the DJ doesn't catch these "anomalies," even after having made such observations. Perhaps having a DJ that is genuinely interested in the rotation and the performers would help. JP read more

I consider myself a karaoke connoisseur and therefore feel that it's safe to say that THIS is the best karaoke place I've ever been to--in Japan, San Francisco and NYC. Each room has a theme and they are all super-spacious. The prices for the private rooms are excellent, and so are the prices for drinks. The song selection is also huge--every song we searched for was there (unlike in other karaoke places). All of this turned our reluctant karaoke-goers into VERY enthusiastic karaoke-goers! The food here is delicious, although the service can be a little spotty. It's an awesome place to hang out with friends and have fun because the private rooms make the experience personal and unique. Fun place for family. Although the menu should have a few more options for the little kids. Our server, Stephanie, was not very attentative, although she seemed friendly enough. My husband and I are crazy about karaoke (private rooms, not public spaces) and have been to many in Tokyo, NYC, and L.A., and K-House is by far the cleanest and most welcoming place we've been to. Alina (the owner) is almost always there to greet and welcome people, and she has absolutely the perfect personality for hospitality. The song selection is pretty darn good in Japanese, Korean, and English (the only ones we've tried) and fans of music from the 70's thru now will find the songs they want. They have cool snack-y favorites from Korea and Japan, cuz who doesn't want Choco-pie and Calpico while belting out hits?? The themes in the private rooms are fun, and you can go alone or in a group of up to 90 - can't beat the flexibility. LOVE this place, and we're thankful Alina brought it to Ithaca! read more

This place is awesome! We threw an event for about 90 people and the owner was extremely accommodating in getting us setup with rooms, food, and drinks, even allowing us to stay overtime for free. This is the best karaoke bar I've ever been to. With rooms that are both cozy and filled with couches and tables but still gives you room to dance and sing and jump, it's SUCH a fun place to go with friends or even by yourself. They have a Jamacia room, Cornell room, beanbag room, graffiti room, huge party room, and the list goes on. We always go to the Cornell room. The room comes with a two light up tambourines and two microphones, and a tablet that lets you control which songs you pick and the queue you have for them. There are also big catalogs of songs you can choose from and they constantly update the songs to make sure you get the latest hits. Also, the food here is pretty good and this place also has a bar and a treasure chest filled with props. You can put on huge sunglasses, wigs, hats, and mickey mouse gloves. They also have a small stage where you can perform for everyone if you want to, but I've never done that. read more

The private room was fun, and it's a great concept but the service was terrible. 4 different people in out party waited more than 15 minutes at the bar. She wouldn't look anyone in the eye to acknowledge us, kept skipping over us, and was so slow - no experience on the managing a Saturday night drunk line. The guy who sometimes helped out only helped young single females. It was almost funny if I'd been able to get a drink while watching. The room service was no better. Either add more staff or better staff. I probably won't be back unless someone specifically asks. read more
