Went to K Salon for the first time for a bleach, color, and cut service. Director Kyunghee and her team took great care of me and the color and styling turned out amazing! They did a great job at making sure my scalp was comfortable during the bleach process, and was very honest about how much my dark hair could handle. They are honest and will let you know if your hair is suitable for the treatment for the day. Took the best care of my hair and was very attentive. One of the highlights is their homemade salt bread. Might be one of the best crunchy red bean salt breads in ktown. They also have cookies and hot/cold drinks :) AND FREE PARKING. The staff were so incredibly kind, they offer tea/coffee at the beginning of the appointment, and the owner makes (YES BAKES HERSELF) these amazingly delicious sweets. After many years of having K Salon bookmarked, I finally scheduled my first haircut appointment with Kyunghee. Upon arrival, I was kindly greeted, given a locker to safely store my belongings, and escorted to the back for a hair wash. The salon has a clean, sleek aesthetic with mainly white décor and large, beautiful mirrors. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, with very little noise or chatter, which made the experience feel relaxing. Once my hair was washed and dried, Kyunghee came over to ask questions about the style I was hoping for. I had brought photos and a list of descriptions to show her. Initially, I wanted a lot of layers; however, she advised against adding too many, explaining that it might make my hair look thin given my hair type. Honestly, this was an amazing place they gave a free cookie and ice water. The main thing though was the haircut, the guy was very polite and nice. However, my hair was very long and i gave him a picture of exactly how i wanted my hair and he did nothing like it. He cut off a lot of my hair and left it not even near to the picture. First and foremost it was easy to get a same day appointment with K Salon. All I needed was a haircut, they had a spot; so, I got a same day appointment. K Salon provides you with parking and therefore, if you're not getting dropped off; it's nice to know there's a spot for your car. When you go in, you're greeted by Ms. Kyunghee, Mr. Kim (her husband), and the staff for the day. Mr. Kim assists with a lot of the clients; on that day he shampooed and dried my hair. He is very gentle with the wash and makes sure that the water is just right. After that, Ms. Kyunghee will approach you and ask what you want done to your hair and I have to say, I love how she knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. I have been told that I have a "mango" shaped face and therefore, the layered cut-as seen on the photo-is how I've always styled my hair. But for the first time in years, Ms. Kyunghee is the ONLY one who's been able to understand how I wanted it done. In addition to this, she even made suggestions that I normally already request. She even explained that she was going to cut it short enough to get rid of the dried and brittle parts of my hair. Which was great. After the haircut, Mr. Kim dried and styled my hair (as seen on the photo). I love that every moment he got he taught me how to use the product in my hair, how to use a straightener/curler, and importantly how to care for my hair. I probably should've mentioned that I dyed my hair, so the damage from that is what he was teaching me to ensure my hair would grow healthy. So, as you'll see in the photos; my hai looks absolutely amazing. As a bonus Ms. Kyunghee and Mr. Kim offer hot/cold drinks. Most of all, Ms. Kyunghee bakes and she will have pastries for you as you receive service. In short, I will be back to get my hair maintained at K Salon!
