NO NO NO! DO NOT USE THIS GUY! Oscar made my appointment for 4:30 one afternoon. He showed up at…read more6pm. Got upset that my garage didn't have adequate lighting and he would have to use his own portable lights. He diagnosed my coolant was leaking and my thermostat and thermostat housing had to be replaced and coolant added. He let me know he doesn't like to talk while working so I said no problem. During the work he said something and I answered. He was then RUDE and said he didn't want to talk. I informed him I was just answering his remark. I paid him $350 for the work done. Even though he had been rude, I was considering using him again. Then, my car, 5 weeks later, started exhibiting the same symptoms as before he worked on it. I contacted Oscar, we made an appointment for the next day. No call no show. I then took the car to a qualified auto repair center and will now be paying over $600 to replace the thermostat, replace the thermostat housing that he cracked and add more coolant. I brought in my 2018 Cadillac Escalade, and everything went downhill from there. They damaged my wheels while replacing the tires. Then they charged me $12,000 for front struts and rear air bag replacements--only for me to bring the vehicle back because the front strut wasn't installed correctly. They claimed they were "under new management" and would "make it right," but nothing was ever fixed properly. They also insisted my spark plugs needed replacement. Supposedly they did the job, but the moment I picked up the vehicle it was ticking, running rough, and performing worse than before. They kept the car again and told me it was "good to go." It wasn't. The Escalade broke down on Saturday. I had it towed to Firestone, who immediately found an exhaust leak causing the ticking noise--and worse, they showed me the spark plugs that this shop installed. They were stripped. To make things even shadier, this place doesn't provide proper paperwork for the work they claim to perform. Between the sloppy repairs, the outrageous charges, and the lack of documentation, this shop is absolutely untrustworthy. I also contacted the corporate office and received no response. Save yourself the headache and consider bypassing this business. It seems their focus is on taking your money rather than properly completing repairs. No Customer Service.

Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

I decided to go to Lam's Auto Repair per a friend's recommendation and I'm really glad I did. Mr. Lam was able to inspect my car after I walked in on a Saturday morning. After 15 minutes he told me what was wrong and what needed to be done. I unfortunately also bought the wrong headlights but he was able to find some to replace them with in the shop. I decided to walk over to the lovely restaurants nearby while I waited and I was luckily able to get my car fixed within hours. His prices are very reasonable and he was very kind. The customer service was definitely worth driving across town for!
