Came in for a wheel alignment. They charged me a diagnostic fee for no reason. I went to get a second opinion as 1818 for wheel alignment felt unreasonable. Turns out they tried to rip me off. One of the things they charged me for was not even needed for a wheel alignment. Poor quality, terrible business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. read more

No one wants a flat tire. Unfortunately, today a nail decided to make a home inside the driver's rear tire of the car. After hearing loud system alarms about the air pressure suddenly being low, the car was safely pulled over. Upon inspection, the culprit of the loud hissing was instantly noticeable. Thankfully, Mega Tires was nearby and answered their phone quickly and arrived in a timely manner. Shoutout to the guy with the manbun who provided assistance. He drove over with the tools and had the tire patched before the hot Houston sun had time to burn skin. In total, the fix took about 35 minutes and was reasonably priced ($40 for two patches). Hearing some knocking noise in the front of my car, I went to this place and they tried to rip me off. They charge me a diagnostic fee. To find out that the problem was something else other than what they said. So I went back and had them refund my diagnostic fee. I've been here on several occasions and the service was always great with reasonable prices. Unfortunately I sent my wife here for an alignment on her UNMODIFIED, STOCK, 2014 Toyota Corolla. She was charged $50 for the alignment (reasonable) and $50 for a camber kit(which is not needed according to a mechanic at Toyota dealership). She was charger a grand total of $100(unreasonable for an alignment especially because the dealership charges $80) To top it off whoever was in the office refused to talk to me over the phone because "he was busy." I won't be recommending this place to anyone again. I suggest going elsewhere due to their predatory practices. read more

They are scammers. I noticed every time I bring my car here, they charge me lots of money and the next day, I have to come back and do something else and it's always so close to where they fixed. I got some radiator hoses fixed yesterday for $500. Today, the hose started to leak and they sent a tow truck to me to bring it to them. When the tow truck arrived, they took apart the engine and told me to pay the towing before they put the engine back together even though they said they'd pay for the towing in the first place. read more

Ran into a issue with the Driver side, told me what's wrong (bad bearings/ Hub) called me later to tell me that they were wrong. Turned out I had a bad Tie rod, repair bill was greatly reduced. I politely asked for the lady to use English as I wanted to understand everything that she and the technician said and it was basically overlooked and that is one reason I refuse never again to come to this business. I was having some issues with my car so I took it to Mega Tires to get it worked on. They said it would be a few hours before it would be done and that they'd call me once it was. A few hours passed by and I get the phone call to pick my car up. I get up there and no one knows where my car keys are! It took about 10 minutes before they realized that the guy that worked on my car, TOOK MY KEYS home with him!!! What kind of shit is that?! I was pissed! And they acted as if nothing was wrong with that! Never in my 35 years have I had any mechanic work on my car and then take my keys with them afterwards! Who's to say that he didn't make copies of my keys! I just don't trust it! It was very unprofessional on all of their parts because they felt he did nothing wrong by taking my keys. I was late to work because of that mess! They saw how upset I was and offered $10.00 off which is nothing when you're paying well over $200.00! Don't let the "little guy" image fool you. The staff here was friendly and fast, repairing a leaky tire on my beloved old Chevy truck in less than 20 minutes. When they told me it was only $10, my jaw dropped! They pulled the 70 lb tire and wheel assembly off, dismounted the tire, found the leak, patched it, and put it back together aligned exactly as it was on the rim in 20 minutes! I brought my rims in and told them that I wanted four tires put on the rims and the rims installed and then the car aligned to the new rims. A day later they call and say they don't have the tires for the rims but they did the alignment (with my original rims still on). They then proceeded to hold my keys until I paid the $50 for the alignment job they did. I told them, no. I wanted new tires on the rims I brought and wanted them installed and then I wanted the car aligned to these new rims and tires. The car didn't need an alignment with the wheels that were already on it! Turns out. They ripped me off. He literally held my car keys hostage until I paid him the 50 for the alignment that I did not want or need. (Unless they had put the new tires on my rims and then onto my car. Like they said they were going to). They even messed up my alignment. They absolutely ripped me off. They knew what they were doing from the jump. The guy pulled me out to the garage to show me my tires and where the problems were (I came for a simple alignment) and said if I didn't replace the main tire problem, the alignment wouldn't help.
