An e-bike ran into my car -- uninsured, of course -- so I was already pretty pissed before this whole process even started . Had to call my insurance and deal with repairs, and KW Auto Body came highly recommended, so I went with them. I first went to the Nimitz Hwy location and the customer service was excellent from day one. Super helpful and easy to deal with. Then I found out they also have a shop near Ala Moana, which is much closer to where I live. I mentioned it, and they handled the switch seamlessly -- one call and everything was transferred over. The repair took about 10 days. One piece of glass was on back order, so they let me pick up the car and bring it back once the glass came in, which made things way more convenient. No drama, no hassle. When everything was done, the car looked great -- you'd never know it got taken out by an uninsured e-bike. Solid work, smooth process, and great customer service. This was on a list from insurance and my husband works at the airport so it was convenient. Took a few weeks to get the parts in but service was great. Car was finished a day earlier than scheduled and there was pretty clear communication throughout. Once we got the car back the alignment seemed off (that was part of the work) so they provided us with a rental for a few days while they checked everything. I went to get a estimate on a Exterior Door Handle fix. Had all the hardware to provide but apparently they only do "collision" according the the guy at the front desk. Don't bring your car here because if your car gets into a accident and you need a new key cylinder they probably wont fix it and you'll end up getting that job done somewhere else. SAD! read more

I just took my 2024 Camry because sadly I got into a car accident. I chose this place to get the repair after reading the reviews and they had a good rating on here. My first initial phone call was easy and the guy on the phone knew what he was talking about and was able to answer all my questions. I tried calling other repair shops they were either backed up and wouldn't be able to service my car till almost a month later, or they were just really rude. The whole process was very smooth. The thing I loved about this place was that they sent email updates on my car throughout the whole time they had my car. To be honest my car was pretty dirty on the outside and I hadn't did any cleaning on the inside either before taking it in. It just needed a little TLC but I didn't have the time. They cleaned and detailed the whole car, I was in complete shock lolz. It was like I just drove it off the lot again. Overall, my experience was great. Aric provided a easy, fast, and professional service with helping me set up my insurance claim and other services I wanted on my car. The painter did a beautiful job with blending the paint because I needed to have my hood, driver door, and fender fixed and painted. They also detailed my car so I don't have to do it myself, because I usually pay for it to be done anyway. My only issue is the same door handle from my damaged driver door was used with the new driver door. Which has a small paint chip, and from a glance you maybe wouldn't see it, but I have an eye for detail, and I noticed the same paint chip which would mean it was not replaced with the new door. Which for me is fine, but not many such as myself, would know exactly what was covered as far as the door replacement goes, so I kind of wish that was a bit more clear on that part. read more

I was rear ended. It wasn't terrible and no one was injured, but getting your car repaired is such a hassle. The car insurance people are a hassle and driving my car to and from the only repair shop specialized to fix Teslas was a hassle. However, even though it was a shitty situation, everyone at KW auto body made my shitty situation better. It started with the email thread with the progressive insurance people. The KW representative was prompt to respond and very professional. I think the person who was assigned to my car ended up getting covid and being out of the office for a few days and I ended up talking to a few other petiole, but everyone was very accommodating of my schedule and needs. When I got my car back, it was perfect. They even buffed out and painted a scratch on the opposite side of my bumper. I was impressed. The guy explained what they did and answered all of my questions. When I got in my car I noticed they had washed and vacuumed. So nice! They didn't have to, but they did and it's what makes this place a 5 star body shop instead of a 3 or 4 star body shop. I highly recommend KW auto for your auto body needs. Took my car in to have it repaired due to minor fender bender. Upon receiving my car back, noticed a crack in my rear windshield. After speaking with Reyanne about the issue, she was very helpful and also found out some info about the Tesla model 3 rear windshield. In the end, I filed a claim with my own insurance but she was nice enough to agree to pay for the deductible of $250. This is a great service recovery moment and appreciate Reyanne's caring attitude because they could have just said that they didn't do it and just left it at that. I have complete trust and confidence moving forward with KW Auto Body Airport location. Hopefully I do not have to take my Tesla in again, but if ever I have to, I would take it back to KW. I had to take my car in for some body work and was looking for the best place to take my baby. K W Auto had solid reviews, was personally recommended by a few co-workers, and is a gold star shop that works directly with USAA. They have two locations but the one by the Airport is the larger of the two. For those that have a sweet ass Tesla, they are an approved body shop. The customer service was friendly and very responsive. I reached out via email as it was after business hours and they called back early the next day to schedule the inspection and drop off. I was able to drop off my Jeep the next morning, by that afternoon they had already disassembled the front bumper and ordered the replacement parts. At every stage of the work KW was updating me on the status of the repair. Pick up was fast and easy. Because they are a gold star facility they handled all the adjustments directly with the insurance company. Additionally the work is guaranteed nationwide, which is a huge plus. Last but not least they hand washed and cleaned out the car. Honestly it was cleaner when I picked up than it was when I dropped her off. Hopefully I won't need to use them again but if I ever need body work, I know where I'm going and who I will recommend to friends and family. read more

I emailed the company through their website, and was immediately contacted by the service manager, Paul No. I sent a couple pictures of the job I wanted done and an appointment was set for two days later. When I arrived at the shop I was greeted by very friendly staff who took care of me right away. The consultant Austen Tolentino assisted me and was very friendly and thorough with his assessment. Within several minutes there was a technician looking at the job I wanted done. I was then asked if I wanted the job to be done now. When I was 10 months pregnant, I was rear-ended. The other car got messed up, but thankfully our car protected us. The only problem was some damages on our rear bumper. That might not sound like too big of a deal, but the problem is, I drive a Tesla Model X. They're a pain to repair because the parts take so long to get in, and not a lot of people are authorized to work on them. Enter KW Auto. They made the whole process smooth, easy, and almost enjoyable! They have amazing customer service, they got us in for an estimate right away, and they were able to get our parts VERY quickly. After they got parts, they worked quickly, but well. They were such perfectionists that they actually called me to take an extra day because the paint color wasn't as exact as they wanted, so they redid it. They have a nice little lounge area, the BEST bathroom I've ever been to at a car repair place, and amazing service. This is the second time and my second car that I had repaired with KW. First time was paid by the driver who hit my parked car, so I really didn't ask for an estimate. I chose them because they dealt with the insurance company the driver had and they had the earliest opening. They also had good ratings and I wasn't about to take a chance on someone doing a shoddy job on my eminent white pearl paint that required a 3 stage paint job. It turned out perfect. This time around, I just needed a paint scratch repair. I got an initial quote from them and then shopped around. I ended up picking them once again. They were able to take my car in quickly and get the job done fast. I was kept updated via text and the actual price was less than the quote. I am beyond pleased with the level of service, professionalism, and speed of this auto body repair shop. I have a 2018 Honda Accord, that got scratched from someone leaning a cinderblock against the passenger side to keep their trashcan in place on the sidewalk (the aloha is overwhelming right? -_-). Anyway, I took to Yelp and saw KW had great ratings and it was pretty close to my house, so gave them a call. The owner, Paul, and one of the associates, Reyenne, were both extremely helpful, very prompt with providing me a fair and reasonable estimate for the damage, and scheduled my car's repair appointment immediately. The entire staff was extremely warm and helpful. Dropping off the car was simple and quick, they even offered me a ride back to my apartment. The repairs took about a day and a half, but even after about 4 - 5 hours after dropping my car off, I received an update email on how things were going with the repairs. Such a nice touch! The day the repairs were complete I got a call in the morning from another associate, Mike, letting me know what time I can come pick up my car. Picking up the car was just as smooth and seamless, the staff welcomed me and took care of me immediately. Went over the warranty, payment, and checked out the repairs. The work done was excellent! Looked and felt completely new. Not only that, but they washed and detailed the car for me too. It was like she was rolling off the lot for the first time all over again! What also really stood out to me was that Mike, the associate who did the final walk through with me, walked me out to my car, double checked everything was ok, and escorted my drive out of the parking lot. I was kept informed as to the progress of the repair as well as the estimated cost via email and text. When dropping off my car I was asked if I needed a ride to the rental car. Their office is clean and spacious with water and coffee provided. When I picked up my car it looked brand new - my car was new not even 2 years old - but it looked like when I first picked it up from the dealer. Best on island from how this repair went. from day one, took me in for detailed estimate on a drop in after minor got backed into. USAA and Tesla recommended as #1 and it proved to be exactly that. Reyanne was great as was whole front office and they did a deep look and within a day had the estimate and parts list. Took it in as scheduled once parts arrived and Enterprise was there and vehicle into shop. Rather than fix fast they fixed thoroughly lording a major par once they saw it was cracked on the inside. Picked it up and it looked new with great clean up and even a full charge! The text system keeps you fully informed of the progress and Reyanne is very responsive. I added wheel touch up in closing few days and they made it happen and it looks brand new. read more

Do not take your Tesla to this shop! They overcharge customers by being the "only certified Tesla repair in Honolulu". KW works well if you claim under insurance but you can not imagine how much you have to pay from your pocket without insurance. I had a minor scrapes on my front right fender and I uploaded photos to KW website. I called them after two weeks of waiting for feedback, or quotation via email. I was told at first phone conversation with KW that their "website quotation specialist" will get back to me. I waited three days and call KW again because I did not receive any email or phone call. KW finally gave me a verbal quotation at minimum of $4000! OMG! I asked them if they are been reasonable with their quotation because minor scrapes on my front right fender need only cosmic touch. I told KW that I understand the job may require removing and sanding the fender, however, based on standard Tesla labor charge of $225 per hours, how is that possible KW will spend more than 18 hours on this paint job? KW representative was very honest and told me that they are the only "only certified Tesla repair in Honolulu" and it is expensive to get it certified and they use special tools. Furthermore, they face inflation and labor shortage, KW needs to pays extra for this repair hence it is very expensive in Hawaii for Tesla repair! OK, no problem, I respect KW's business decision and good for them to be the "only certified Tesla repair in Honolulu" I can not accept an unrealistic quotation hence I need to take my business to other repairer. That is the only reasonable action for me. But is it reasonable for Tesla to only certified one body repair shop in Honolulu? It seems KW has the mindset that they are so unique on this island and Tesla customers do not have any second choice. KW has monopolized the Tesla body repair market in Honolulu and they have the power to price higher for insurance company and average Tesla customer. I understand Honolulu island businesses operate on the principle of scarcity; there is only one door for you, if you do not pay then please do come in my door, because there are others waiting! I think the real question is: Is all these excuse for inflation real? or Inflation is simply greed for money? read more
