The glue like application on the door

I recently took my 1-week-old vehicle to this collision shop for replacement and repairs to the front and rear passenger doors. Despite choosing them for their good reviews and documenting the condition with photos the day I dropped the car off, I discovered a new, deep scratch on the undercarriage after pickup. The front desk staff was unhelpful, claiming the damage couldn't have occurred at their shop and offering a small bottle of paint for me to fix it myself. The glue-like application on the door was also subpar. The technician assigned to work on my car doors did a sloppy job. I am really disappointed! (Photos attached show the issue. The interior was also left dusty! If you're considering this shop, inspect your vehicle thoroughly before leaving to avoid issues.

Unibody was on the list of recommended repair shops by my insurance company, and I chose them for the proximity to Enterprise Rent a Car near the airport, since I knew I'd be needing a rental while my car was in the shop for repairs. The process was soooo easy from time I called to schedule an estimate to the time I picked up my car. When I called to schedule an estimate, they were available to bring me in to their location in Kakaako that very Saturday. They sent the estimate directly to my insurance company, and a few weeks later, I scheduled my appointment for repairs. They made all the arrangements with Enterprise for my rental, including shuttle service. Fortunately my repair job was fairly simple, so my car was ready the next day. Hopefully I will not need these services again (knock on wood), but if I do, I am definitely coming back.

I will be avoiding this shop in the future. Our car was Iin the shop over 120 days! After we agreed on the repairs, they ordered the parts and we waited. Then we got a call the parts were in so we could drop off the car. After that, the nightmare that was my experience with Unibody began. The phone is rarely answered if you call. Often, if they do answer, you are told someone will call you back but they never do. No one seems to be able to tell you what the delays are except "waiting for more parts." There were over 10 extensions from the original pickup date, mostly being informed of the delay on the day the car is slated for pickup.

Repaired door, by replacing the whole door!

There's only three approved repair shops for Teslas on this island and Unibody Autotech is one of them. They had just repaired my Model 3 and the car I received back looked brand new. The paint matching and door alignment is as good as new. I'm very happy with the outcome! One caveat, the parts that come from Tesla takes close to two months but that is beyond Unibody's control. Although once they receive the parts it only took two weeks to return the car back to me. Thank you, Unibody Autoteh

I had my car replaced the front bumper on October 2021at Unbody Autotech but the result of this work was frustrating considering that they were no. 1 listed as a repair shop accredited with the Insurance Co. When I brought my car to the shop I was told that It will only take 3 days to do the work. On the fourth day, I went to the shop to get my car, Friday that was, but I was told that it will still under go QC and I was asked to come back Monday. In short, I came back Monday to just find out that the color of the new bumper was different from the color of the body which was Diamond Pearl White. But they painted it with Pearl White. I asked the shop supervisor, an asian looking, why the color of the new bumper was Pearl White. He said he based on the VIN of the car. And he even justified his inexperienced when he told me that "whether Diamond Pearl White or Pear White" are all the same white. To resolve it, he asked me to schedule it for another day to correct the color by making it darker, but he is not promising that it will look the same color as the body color. How could I believe him that he can correct when he doesn't know color codes. And he does not know how to use Common Sense. To make the story short, please look at the image of my front car below for your perusal. With this experienced I have with Unibody, do you still consider bringing your car to Unibody for a repair, if ever?

I had a great experience with Unibody. My car's back bumper was recently hit & I needed to get the damage fixed. All staff that I spoke to were so helpful & efficient in getting me through the process of scheduling & coordinating (this is the first time I've been hit so I was SO CLUELESS lol). Once the parts needed for the repair arrived, I got scheduled right away & was quoted around 2 weeks for the repair. So imagine my surprise 5 days later - I get a text saying my car is ready for me to take home! I flew over to Unibody & there it was.. my whole car with no dings or damage. The staff member who led me to my car told me they also washed my car which was much appreciated, even though it was raining. All in all I would highly recommend Unibody to anyone that needs auto repairs. They work with many different insurances to get you covered & the staff is TOP NOTCH! Thank you again Michael & staff for all for your hard work!

My car was t-boned by a lady who ran a stop sign and one of the autobody shops that her insurance covered is Unibody. I decided to go with them since they were one of the few who returned my calls and emails. I took my car in for an estimate and they told me the appointment would be a few months out due to the severe structural damage. Albeit it took several months to get my car repaired the staff at unibody was extremely kind and responded to any questions I had via text. They worked directly with State Farm and I didn't have to do anything other than drop the car off and wait. They even sent me a link to where I could follow my cars repair process, and pickup and take home was maybe 5 minutes. No hours of singing paperwork and going place to place. Definitely took longer than expected but it was worth the wait. Recommend unibody to anyone within their network of coverage!

I also want to add that while my van was being diagnosed, the gentleman noticed my coolant was low and took the time to add more coolant for me. I truly appreciate that extra step. They replaced the large insignia, but they said that I would have to put back the small letters myself. Also while cleaning the car for an inspection, in addition to finding the small letters for the trunk door, I found water in my wheel well for the spare tire in the trunk. I told them that they forgot to reattach the other end of a plastic tube that ran rain water in the trunk door top right corner. They said that they don't detach that. But they had detached the rubber foam seal on trunk door when they painted the car. The seal is in the same area of the door as the plastic tube. If I had known ahead of time about the small letters, I might not have gotten the work done there. Usually shops will replace whatever they took off the car, and not leave everything inside the car for the owner to put back. To be fair, they did put back some of the stuff I found in the car after I picked up the car- like the car insignia, the rubber foam seal on the trunk door.

Over several months, we were repeatedly told that work was in progress, parts were on order, or that the vehicle was nearing completion. It's March 31, 2026 and it is still not finished. However, during multiple in-person visits, there has been little to no visible progress. Communication has been inconsistent, and there were times we arrived during business hours and no one was available. We understand that delays can happen, but the lack of transparency and follow-through has been extremely frustrating and completely unacceptable. We also observed signage indicating BBB accreditation; however, the BBB website currently lists this business as not accredited, which was confusing and concerning. At this point, we have had to escalate the matter in order to seek resolution. We hope this can still be resolved professionally, but based on our experience, we would strongly advise others to proceed with caution as there are many red flags despite the positive reviews.

We needed to get that fixed along with the bumper. We took it to Encore and they quoted us $3700. A few days later they called and said that it would be another $400 for a part. Two days later they said that it would be another $200. When we finally went to pick up the car we saw that the bumper was fixed. They also fixed some other things in the front, since it was pushed back. When I inquired about the fix for the anti-freeze the guy had no idea what I was talking about. We had a new bottle of anti-freeze in the trunk and they put it in the car for us. It didn't leak out, which was a good sign. We drove it to Costco a block down and saw that all the anti-freeze was leaking out. We called the guy and dropped the car off again. He called the next day and said it would cost $800 to fix the anti-freeze leak. A day later he called and said it would be another $400 to fix the inverter. All in all, the hubby paid around $6000 for something they quoted as $3700. That plus the fact that they had our car for over three weeks. When we finally picked up the car they did give us a complimentary car wash, which we appreciated. We've had the car back for four days now and thankfully it's running smoothly.

Insurance told me to get a quote at another auto body shop for the repairs (rear bumper detached, wiring for reverse sensors detached, rear leg quarter panel above the tire dented and scratched). That shop quoted me about $8K for all the repairs! FYI, I have a 2013 elantra. Insurance deemed my vehicle to be a "total loss" because the amount of the repairs was about the same cost of the vehicle's value. So my choices were to give up my vehicle which still worked perfectly fine despite missing a rear bumper, and then recruited a check for the vehicle's value...or keep the vehicle and receive a smaller check and find an autobody shop that could fix the damages for cheaper than the initial quote by the first autobody shop. A friend recommended Mapunapuna Auto Body and I also checked out their limited reviews on yelp, yes I trust my fellow yelp users! Then I decided to check em out! Ben (the owner) quoted me right under $2 grand, which was a fourth of the initial auto body shop's estimate. I couldn't believe it and thought it was too good to be true.
