This review is being posted PRIOR to the work being completed on my vehicle. Im leaving the review with the disclaimer, that it may change. Only reason that im leaving it early is because so far, ive gotten amazing service. I am leaving a review for Mazda as well. My car is currently being worked on by SH Fender in Kaka'ako. I drive a Mazda SUV, newer model. I noticed the the roof had some bubbling happening. If you know anything about paint, you know that bubbling can only mean that you'll be in a world of debt if you let it keep going. Now, being that my car is newer, I was shocked to see the paint and roof already starting to rust. I dont take my car to the beach. I dont park at construction sites. I dont throw bird poop at it. Luckily for me, this job is being covered by the paint warranty offered by Mazda. Go me! Anyway, I dropped my car off at Mazda and it was quick to head over to SH. SH was also quick to start it -- I know this because on the same day, I got a call requesting for the key to remove my roof racks (that I stupidly forgot to hand over). That being said, after doing some research, I was super happy that SH was responsible for my car since they have excellent reviews and a friend of mine has used them before. If I could have repainted the roof black, I would have, hahaha, but I assume they'll do an amazing job on the polymetal grey. P.S. SH guys, if you want to get that scratch off my front bumper, feel free to do so HAHAHA. read more

They were very courteous and as soon as the ordered part came in, the job was done quickly. We were very happy with the results and they were even kind enough to do a few "touch up" paint on a couple small scratches without added charges. Customer service was great! read more

Just got off the phone with Wendy. Very sweet and professional on the phone. I had requested from a particular auto repair company an estimate just to paint my bumper on Yelp, and apparently was sourced out to many others. Received a message from SH Fender, whom I did not reach out to, that the next step to proceed was to call for a phone consultation. I then "ringy dinged" them. My car is in excellent condition, 9 yrs new, 19k miles, and has no dents to the bumper...just scratches. Now folks this is a "bumper", not using Geico, moola is coming out of my back pocket. In order to secure an estimate, Wendy kindly told me it would cost me $150 bux. Sounds as though having Geico as a premier client, they have no need for "walk-ins" to be bothered with. read more

Got merged into by a big truck on the Pali and took some front fender damage. Seen that GEICO had S H Fender Shop on their list of trusted repair shops close to where I live, so I wasted no time in trying their service for repairs. The process from getting the estimate done and being put up in a rental car for the duration of the repair was super smooth, and these guys kept me informed throughout the repair process. I know these before and after pics and videos are nice, but I PROMISE YOU that's just the cherry on top of what they do best, which is putting the customer first. They are highly personable, friendly, transparent and professional in all that they do. They even took care of some undamaged parts that had some wear and tear just because they wanted the overall aesthetic to look as balanced with the new repairs as possible! I could not be any happier with my experience at S H Fender Shop! These folks did an amazing job repairing my Rogue after I was sideswiped by someone. I've attached a couple before and after photos, and my car looks good as new!! Not only did they repair the damage wonderfully, in the process they even fixed up a bunch of other dings and scratches I definitely was not expecting that and it was such a nice and pleasant surprise. The entire process was super simple. I literally walked in off the street late Friday afternoon and the nice stuff welcome to me and Rob promptly looked at my car. They discussed the process with me, time frames, etc. I felt so comfortable with their staff and with the good reviews online, I decided to let them fix my car since I liked them and they had the time to take me on. They said they'd order the parts needed, and a week later I got a call saying I can drop off my car. They even called Enterprise and got me a shuttle from the shop to pick up my rental! I dropped off my car on Friday the 8th and picked it up Friday the 15th. Like I said, the car looks better than new and I am so impressed by the team that works there, their work, and how they went above and beyond. Hopefully I never need such repairs again, but if I do S H Fender will be the first place I turn to for help! My repairs also went through the Geico coverage of the person that hit me, and S H Fender made the entire process super simple. I don't think I could be any happier. Rob was also super nice when I picked up the car. I had some random questions on the shop repair process in general, and he even took me back to show me where they do some of the work! I am sorry that you only have 5 stars because I would give S H Fender Shop hundreds. They are superb. I was in an auto accident (not my fault) and took the car to them on February 28, 2025. I just picked up my Hyundai today, April 30, 2025. Yes, that long because they had to wait for parts from Korea. Last week, the large plastic shield beneath my Honda CRV's engine somehow came undone, partially disconnected, and was dragging on the road. This happened as I was driving through Kakaako. Passing this way often , I was aware of S&H fender, but never needed their services ,,but that day I certainly did. So, I headed over to their shop, hoping for an emergency fix. I pulled into their driveway, dragging my shield and was greeted by Brandon, their estimator. Though body shops do not tock specialized car parts, and , even if they did, all their bays were occupied ( when passing by, it seemed like they were always busy). So unable to accept me as a customer, Brandon did all he could to get me back on the road. He inspected under my car, went and got a handful of zip ties, crawled back under and performed an emergency temporary fix. When I thanked him, and asked about the charge he told me not only was there no charge, but he would not accept any tip, at all, as this was an emergency. The folks at S&H Fender could've said " sorry, we can't help you" , but instead they were there to help a neighbor with their generous offer of their time and sharing of Kokua and Aloha. So I recently got into a fender bender, but thankfully I was recommended SH Fender shop! When I called, the receptionist was super friendly and she helped me book my appointment easily and in such reasonable timing...luckily :) Then upon arrival, my experience was so great! I was met with Jared and Brandon, and they both are really excellent at their trade! They really made an unfortunate situation go as smoothly as possible! I am sorry to say that I did not have a stellar experience with SH Fender. The people were wonderful and they did an excellent job on the body work and painting, but the rim of my tire was not well done. They took it off to buff it, but when I inspected it, I could see some of the damage was still visible. It was clear there were scratches on it, especially on the curved area, and one dime sized spot in the center where the metal had been scraped off. I was hoping they would follow through and fix what was not done properly, but a week has gone by and no word so that says alot.....I think they overcharged the insurance company as well read more

Got into a fender bender and needed my rear bumper replaced. Working through my insurance SH were on the preferential list. Working with State Farm insurance was really smooth and they knew what to do. Estimated was really easy and efficient. They can also work with Enterprise on rental cars. Actual repair was estimated to be 4 days but done in 2 days. Amazing. They also washed the car too! If you live or work around Kakaako/Ward then it's worth checking them out. I had to repair damage to my passenger rear door on my 2010 Nissan Murano, due to a minor acc. That door also had extensive internal rust & it was recommended that the door be replaced. They did a remarkable job in replacing that door & blending the paint on both sides of that door to match the paint. They even cleaned my car better than when I brought it in; including shining the outsides of my tires. I would definitely bring my car here for any future body repair work; although I hope I will never need to. :) read more

Add me to the list of SH Fender fans. No one likes to deal with car accidents, but GEICO, SH Fender, and Enterprise Car Rental made it as painless as possible for me. Someone hit my rear tire and scraped my rear bumper. GEICO suggested several body shops and I ended up with SH Fender because it offered the most convenient appointment time. When I went in for an estimate, they were prompt and efficient, and even buffed out the scrape on the rear bumper so that the only visible damage was on the tire. They even knocked down the cost of the deductible if I was willing to live with minor cosmetic damage (which was barely visible to the eye -- just tiny chips on the edge of the tire well). I was about to go on a trip, so they ordered the parts while I was away and the day I returned, I dropped off my car at about noon. They said it would take 3-4 days. The next day at about 2 p.m., I got a call that my car was ready...just 26 hours later! Everything looked great, and they even washed and vacuumed my car! Everything was seamless and well coordinated with GEICO, and the service was friendly and efficient (another shout out to Wendy, as well as the rest of the team). We all hope not to get into car accidents, but things happen, and I would definitely recommend SH Fender. read more

They did my Geico repair. And did a terrible job & tried to convince me the car is supposed to be different colors. Well it's a relatively new vehicle. And all the panels matched prior to the accident. Unfortunately the Geico representative was equally unhelpful and I've had to escalate it to the mainland to get it resolved. This shop was recommended to me after the GEICO guaranteed repair shop I originally went to continually did subpar body work on my 2 year old Lexus. Long story short, Rob had to work backwards to fix my front bumper not fitting correctly & figure out what the previous repair shop had done incorrectly, resulting in a longer wait for repairs (about 3 weeks). I totally didn't mind since I had a rental car from Enterprise (who were also very courteous & helpful). When I got the car back, looked almost as good as new! They repaired my initial concern but on top of that, went the extra mile & a half to repaint the rear bumper & door panels where there was paint overspray from the last job. And my car was cleaner than when I brought it into the shop! Amazing. Rob & Sonya were a pleasure to work with! Our poor cars have gotten battered and bruised over the years and we have used SH for the last 3 repairs on bodywork. They are excellent at communicating and work with your car insurance company to have your rental car waiting there for you when you drop off your car for repairs.
