Kw is a very rude person. He Insulted me in front of other customers. My husband and I have dealt with him for a few years when he fixed our cars, even sending our family to him but kw was very unprofessional by what he has said to me and my father and also to another relative. I went to KW for many years, as I owned several Volvos. However, I had a very bad experience which ended my relationship. My Volvo 960 wagon's timing belt broke while I was driving at highway speeds one day. Needless to say, much damage was done when valves and pistons collided. I took the vehicle to KW to have a very expensive valve job performed. After about a month (a rather long time), I picked up the repaired car. When I started the car, large plumes of blue smoke belched out of the exhaust pipe. Since the car never burned a drop of oil previously, I asked KW what was up. He indicated that there must be some residual oil in the intake manifold runners and that the burning-oil situation would remedy itself very shortly. Well "very shortly" turned out to be never! I returned the vehicle to KW a few weeks later to have him figure out what was wrong. I suggested to him that a valve seal must have been incorrectly installed during the valve job. He said "no way, the vehicle must have a cracked piston"... perhaps something he overlooked when he repaired the vehicle the first time? He flatly refused to check the valve job he had performed to verify that it was done right; he said it would be too expensive for him to do at no charge. I drove the vehicle for a few months... it consumed about 1 quart of oil every 100 miles. Finally I brought the vehicle to another Volvo specialist for them to diagnose. They were convinced that the valve job was done improperly. Sure enough, it was! There, I paid another $2,500 to have the valve job done properly that KW had completely screwed up. Beware. read more

His prices are always fair and he has always done great work and has never done done anything that was not necessary. We have so much confidence in KW that when we take a vehicle to him we tell him to do whatever is needed and that he does not need to call for approval. Wouldn't recommend that mechanic at all. Went there to have the ignition and heater box checked. After having it fixed they said it will run perfectly. They said! However, the problems started. The car overheated and the pressure in the system got to high because of clamping of hoses to the leaking heater core. Colling Water got pushed out of the cooling box and a hose broke. At least they fixed all that on their own time and cost. But can't trust that there won't any further damage. When we picked up the car the third time it felt like the manager wanted to get rid of us. I am sure there was something really wrong! KW isn't a trustworthy mechanic. read more

Very nice and very honest. Took my wife's Volvo for new brakes but he could have said it needed new rotors but brought me back to show me that they were low but would last to next brake pads. The lady who was picking up her car was extremely happy with him and was referred by her two neighbors who swear by him. He's great and with great prices! read more

A neighbor recommended KW for Volvo service and I was so glad to find him. They fixed the A/C on my '98 and noticed that the timing belt tensioners were bad. They did the timing belt job for much less than I would have expected. Took her on an 1800 mile trip a week later and couldn't be happier. read more
