I asked to have my brakes checked and it turns out that they were fine, but my CV axel was damaged and leaking grease. Due to my first experience with the CV axel going well I decided to return to have my thermostat replaced, oil change, and a tune up. Again, I was quoted a very reasonable price for the work and when I returned to pick up my car (which was ready same day) I noticed that they washed my car for me. I went in for a simple synthetic oil change for my Jeep Wrangler Sahara, which has the 2.0L Turbo engine, a vehicle that specifically requires synthetic oil as stated in the manual. However, when I got my car back, I discovered that they had given me a conventional oil change instead. Not only did they fail to provide the service I requested, but they also left a dirty rag under the hood, which is completely unacceptable. I immediately went to another shop to get my system flushed and properly filled with synthetic oil. It's clear that KLM Auto's service has become both poor and questionable. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to be cautious if they are considering this place. Additionally: I didn't decide to go with the cheapest oil change as when I scheduled the appointment online I booked it for a full synthetic oil change. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You tried to tell me that my vehicles takes conventional oil and you do a lot of jeeps in the area and that's what you give them which is complete BS and the reason I recorded our conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have a nice vehicle and care about what I put in it which is why I immediately took it somewhere else. Here's the bottom line. The part cost $346, there were no other parts involved. It was just one 3 ft hose. I paid you $125, $436, and the warranty paid you $900. That's $1461 for a $300 part. I was a loyal customer to KLM Auto Center for a about 2 years. After my last visit I will never go back. My car had an oil leak after getting a diagnostic test ($145!) not sure why I needed another test ran because we already knew the issue from the last time I visited to get an oil change. I needed to save up some money to fix it and that's why I was there. Originally I was quoted around $1,000 after the diagnostic test was completed the quote came to a total of $3,231.02! Which I thought was quite high. A few services were not absolutely needed to fix the problem. I am not knowledgeable about cars, but felt like this was a ridiculous price. I left and went somewhere else to get a quote. The place I went didn't charge a diagnostic fee and was able to consider all damages while knowing my budget and the total came to $1025.47. It turned out I didn't need most of what KLM was suggesting. I didn't need 6 spark plugs replaced because only 3 were faulty, I didn't need a carbon flush immediately, the labor for replacing the oil pan was no where near ($468.00 which KLM quoted me.) KLM quoted me $900 for labor to replace the gasket as well. I think the pricing with KLM was super unreasonable. The entire fix took 3 hours and I had my car back the same day with Canton Road Automotive. I felt extremely taken advantage of after getting a second opinion. I think because I've paid whatever price KLM gave me in the past they felt they could get over and under me. I even texted the owner asking why they were trying to sell me things I didn't need. I never got a reply. I do not recommend going here for major repairs. Oil change/tires mounted & rotated was fine. I really wanted to support this small Latinx owned business. As a business owner myself I'm shocked. This event happened over a year ago and it's still on my mind. I hope the next person can use this review as helpful. Honesty is key!! read more

It has been over 4 years since I have been a fellow patron of KLM auto center. I have witnessed many of the transitions of the front office staff as the owner runs a tight ship between them and his mechanics. I have come to trust and respect him in this time and his input has been invaluable. I bring both cars to him on a regular basis. I can understand some of the other post regarding cost being higher and can't speak on being an issue in my case. Luis is usually always in the shop and easy to reach if there is an issue. I have had a catalytic converter replaced as my largest repair ever done and found the price to be reasonable. The work took some hours but it is a big job. I was able to get a quote through Yelp, talk to Luis about what I needed, and set up an appointment all without having to make a call. The facility itself was clean, smelled amazing, and had snacks, candy, and drinks for waiting customers. My oil change only took 45 minutes and I was out of there. While waiting, people walking by me smiled and updated me on my oil change, which I appreciated a lot. Brought car in for two issues. Received written estimate and approved. Two days later KLM called and said car was ready. Asked whether the other issue was fixed and they had forgotten all about it. Kept it over the weekend plus two more days when I got an estimate for the second issue. Declined because of the cost. The bill for the first issue was almost double from the estimate I received. When I arrived to pick up car, I had them explain the repair line by line, and they finally figured out they put someone else's repair on my bill. Be careful when you go to pay your bill. Our Kia Sorento had been making undercarriage noises for over a year, gradually getting worse. The Kia dealership in Las Vegas said it was because new cars no longer have lubrication fittings, which is is lamentable but the noise is just expected on new vehicles after about 50K miles. Then we brought it to a maintenance shop and they said the noise was the transmission. They said they could remove the old one and install a rebuilt one for us. The noise sounded more like suspension than transmission to me, so I sought another opinion. I tried to schedule a diagnostic appointment with two local Kia dealerships, but they we booked until the end of the month. Looking for other options, we called KLM - they were busy so I left a message and asked for a call back - anticipating that I would need to call them again later or keep shopping around. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved when Scott called me back and said they could do a diagnostic the next day. I brought it to them, and KLM came through! They replaced struts and shocks and - poof! - the noise disappeared. Now it rides like it did when it was new - nice tight steering and tracking straight. Next up will be tires, which have worn prematurely because other shops failed to diagnose the problem. I can't say enough for KLM - they are my go-to shop from now on. So Saturday morning I get up gonna go get some creamer for my coffee when the check engine light comes on in my car. I so don't need this right now and I have to admit I am a little unnerved. So I google mechanics and find KLM. I headed straight for them. Upon entering I was greeted by someone I found out later to be Luis he was very pleasant and greeted me with a big smile. He asked if I had gone to autozone or one of those places to check the code. I stated I had not because I needed it fixed. He said no problem grabbed his meter and headed for my car. It took about 30 seconds for him to tell me what was wrong with my car. It's the catalytic converter but it's under warranty. Now here is where it gets great....no no no I stated it's not this car has no warranty. Now he could have said no problem just pull it in and we can fix it but he didn't he went on to tell me that under federal law the dealer has to fix it if it's under 8 years old or 80,000 miles and my car is both. He also said it's about a 1700.00 repair job...that's when I almost fainted. He caught me. He told me to take it to the dealer and that's what I did and got it fixed for free but if I have any other issues I know exactly where to take my car KLM and Luis because he is honest. This auto shop is good as long as you don't require troubleshooting. I would classify this place a part swappers which is good because you can bring your own parts. If you have a complicated issue the dealership maybe slightly more but they will diagnose the problem more efficiently and you won't have to come back. At least this is my experience. read more

My check engine starting flashing & my car was shaking. I did some research & figured that I may need a tune up. I found KLM on Yelp. The shop had great reviews on both Yelp & Google. So, I decided to get a quote. I emailed back & forth with someone at the shop. Then, called in a few days later to see if they could look at my car if I had it towed to the shop. I spoke with Jay. He was really cool & advised me that it would be no problem to have the car looked at. I arranged the tow and crossed my fingers that things would work out (I've had some pretty horrible experiences with mechanics since moving to ATL). Anyway, later that day (about an hour after the shop was supposed to close) I got a call from Luis. I was surprised that he called, but super happy that he stayed late to check my car out! He told me what the issue was, told me he could have it fixed by lunch time the next day, and even offered to send the shuttle to pick me up once the repairs were done. Now, that's what I call service!!! I was so pleased! The young lady that picked me up was really cool & personable! We had a great convo on the way back to the shop.
