Always reliable. Quick place to get in and out. Just like all the other places, they submit pass certificate directly to DMV. The guy there today wasn't the normal guy, but he was still welcoming, professional and courteous. I'm not sure whether or not they have coupons circulating anywhere, but for me the price was a flat $50. This included any taxes and the certificate fees. Seems like I often times see smog places for $29 and even with the certificate fee, the cost might be cheaper elsewhere. I'm fine paying just a little extra for quick, efficient and friendly service. There's really not much one can say about a smog place unless something goes wrong. Thankfully all went well! I wanted to at least mention that the gentleman that checked me in and performed the service was SUPER nice!! It was refreshing! My only one complaint which is minor is the parking. It's shared with a tire place but many of the spots were coned off and people going to the tire side kind of parks anywhere blocking other cars. But other than that the service is A1 and super quick! Like everyone else, I was in dire need of a smog. Not just any smog, a Star Certified Smog. Thanks DMV for making this more complicated then what it should be. As I was saying... I, like all of you. #Yelped Star Smog. Found a few close by my office so I went on my lunch break. I'm not going to throw any business under the bus. But one place I went to said that they would fail my car even though it passes (huh?) I asked him why. He said it's because of the "modifications" that I've done to the car. Rather then arguing with the guy. I told and showed him paper work from CHP that everything installed in my car is California legal. He still refused, so I left. They maybe Fast & Cheap. But you don't know jack about Cars and California laws. Okay, so now my review about K1 Smog. Could not have asked for a better experience. I told the guy there of what happened earlier in the day. He simply, get this, went on the computer looked up the serial numbers of those "modified" parts and verified that everything was states legal. If anyone is reading this and looking for a smog check. Stop reading other reviews. Go here, Doug (Owner) is a great guy, very informative , will do the small things to get you squared with your smog. I mean, if your car won't pass, it won't pass.
