After meeting…read morewith a few other florists and receiving quotes from a few, Parsonage fit best with my budget and style. I met with Sara Kline (one in person consultation and the rest via phone, as I live out of state), who went over all the various services Parsonage offered and showed me a ton of pictures from her portfolio. From the beginning, she was always willing to listen to what I wanted, what our budget was (this was a deal breaker with some of the other florists, who would quote things out of our budget or change the flowers so drastically that it wasn't even close to what I wanted), flexible when I decided to change things, and had lots of great suggestions to make things work best. Our flowers turned out great - I was so worried that our arrangements would look too small (I wasn't into the whole tall centerpiece thing), but they were perfect. We got so many compliments on the simplicity but yet modern style we chose for our flowers. Sara also suggested tying our gold theme into the flowers by using gold glitter in the water. We ended up getting a mix of white hydrangeas, blush peonies, blush ranunculus, and assorted pink stock. Parsonage also provided all the candles and vases - we were doing a gold theme, so I really wanted gold Mercury glass, which they had no shortage of! We booked our linens too, since we got a 10% discount for doing it all together. We had no issues with the delivery out to Ann Arbor and pickup was just the same. Would definitely recommend to any bride in the metro Detroit area!

Parsonage had already set the flowers up in the wedding tent of the venue, and right then I knew I wanted to go with them as well. Their style is both elegant and whimsical. And although their prices aren't cheap -- the money is well worth it not only because of their gorgeous work, but also for their quality of service. I had the pleasure of working with Sara Kline, who from start to finish was a total professional and very knowledgeable. She was friendly, easy to work with, and passionate. She was also a great listener, making sure she understood exactly what I wanted, and was always available to go over details with me. A bonus was that she was willing (and knowledgeable enough about various types of flowers) to successfully work within my budget. I knew Parsonage would do a great job, but on the day of my wedding I was simply blown away. The arrangements had far exceeded my expectations. The venue looked simply stunning. There are so many things that can go wrong on the day of your wedding, and as a bride I'd prepared myself to be OK with that. In this case it was the exact opposite -- I got above and beyond what I expected, and I couldn't have been happier with Parsonage's work. I'm so glad I chose them.

I LOVED that they provided the Venmo QR codes for employees so that you could tip that way. More businesses should consider it! Food was DELICIOUS but I wouldn't expect anything less from G's! *WEDDING VENUE REVIEW*…read more We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here, as well as our bridal party photos, and we couldn't have been any happier with the results! We stumbled on this place via a Facebook advertisement. We had been trying to find another venue to move to because our current one was not cooperating because of pandemic uncertainty. After talking with Haley in person about our day and what we were looking for our of this place, we absolutely could not pass it up. The only day they had available for the Fall was the day we were going to get married on, September the 11th. Working with Haley throughout our journey to the big day was very easy and we experienced no issues the entire time with any of the planning, coordination with vendors, or anything that kept changing on our end that we needed to communicate with. We were offered a food tasting with our families, then got to have our rehearsal dinner here as well. Even on our big day, we had the ceremony and reception in the same place. On our big day, I was working on a lot of the last minute set up or overviews of the venue while my wife was getting ready. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the staff here kept me as calm as I could have been. The ceremony looked beautiful as well as the reception. All of the coordination was done correctly and efficiently. Our guests who attended the wedding regularly talk about how beautiful it was as well as how great the food was! We could not have asked for a better experience and a better day for our wedding. Very impressed with how efficient and prepared this venue was to host an event.

Our wedding was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (great way to save money and it's like a Saturday night wedding since most people have Monday off), we had about 120 people and our ceremony was held outside on the golf course. The first thing that amazed my husband and I was the view from the dining room- one wall is floor to ceiling windows that overlook the golf course, and it is beautiful. The ceremony location is an open area right near the golf course and was a nice simple place to hold the ceremony. The staff provided excellent service - from our initial meeting with the banquet manager to the wait staff on the big day. Leading up to the wedding the manager was helpful in planning our wedding to make sure all the details were set. Upon arriving at the club house on the wedding day, some of the tables were set up incorrectly and the staff immediately fixed them. One of the highlights was the bartenders - some wedding venues won't allow shots, not this place. The booze was flowing - LOTS of shots, giant martini glasses filled with deliciousness, and all the standards - beer, wine, mixed drinks. In looking at different venues, Paint Creek was one of the best values we found. A buffet dinner with two entrees (chicken and roast beef carving station) and the standard salad, rolls, potato, veggies, plus the middle level bar (Captain Morgan, Seagrams, etc. not well and not Grey Goose..), cheese & crackers and veggies as appetizers, and including tax and gratuity and cake cutting was about $50 per person. Adding fancier appetizers was a small addition to the price. This was their Sunday price, so a Saturday night would be a little more expensive. There was no room rental fee or a ceremony fee. Paint Creek has only been doing weddings for about 5+ years and they've started doing more over the past 2-3 years and they are doing a great job. I could not have been more pleased with the food, bar, service and price and would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

The father of this place passed away a couple years ago so it got passed down to one of his sons. Around the beginning-mid season he stepped down and his brother took over. That's when things got even worse which I didn't think was possible. This season, since the brother stepped up the place has gone through three event managers and two general managers. The new general manager is horrible too. He can never plan anything he is supposed to and doesn't help with anything at all. He doesn't know how to promote anything properly and for his golf events he relies on everyone else to do the work for him and will sit in his office or just lurk around. Events seem to be promoted the same day or the day in advance. He gets away with it though because the head of the place favors him. They won't hire a new dining room manager because they think the general manager and one of the crappy servers is good enough to mange the restaurant. Since this has happened so many members have dropped their membership including myself. They need new management in every department and an entirely new set of employees. Obviously this is all my opinion and go at your own risk. The stories I have about this place is crazy. There is much nicer for the same price if not cheaper!

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.
