The bowling alley has 50 lanes. It is a by the hour situation. The ball were nice the lanes were fast. It was fun!

A great bowling alley for the family or a night out with friends. They have yummy pizza. chicken tenders and quesadillas. They also have virtual golf and I had a great time. The staff was great and explained how to play and get started. This is great in the winter to get some swings in. read more

5 Stars Lanes, I've been a league bowler here for many years, staff is always friendly from the counter, bar and food folks are always ready to help. Everywhere in 5 star is clean and welcoming. Lanes and machinery have not too many hiccups, they are returned to service in reasonable timeframe. Visited this location recently for a Family Night. Establishment was clean and spacious however the Customer Service at the bar area was poor. We have never been ignored for so long at any bar.! There was only 1 couple ahead of us and one bartender who's attitude and energy was extremely negative. When we finally got her attention, we were grilled and provided many rules prior to ordering a drink as if we were children. Nothing about her was pleasant. Needless to say, me and my family passed on patronizing the bar while we visited for over 2 hours. Let's retrain on Customer Service! read more

My boyfriend really enjoys bowling so I go with him for fun. We went to 5 Star Lanes last Sunday for a Sunday funday. While we were there, a man started screaming at me saying I was rude because I didn't let him bowl first when there was a full lane in between us. Then he proceeded to yell at my boyfriend to teach me the bowling "rules." My boyfriend is in leagues and the rule is just one lane between not two. Anyways, that's not the point. I'm just there for fun. This man was not in a league either. My boyfriend spoke to management and they apologized and moved us over so there were two lanes between us and this lunatic. I really enjoy coming to this bowling alley. It's my favorite in the area and even more so by the way they handled things last weekend. Their food is inexpensive and good. This is run by the RUDEST people. I never leave bad reviews but this is the exception. We came into the bowling alley at 5 today. The guy at the desk was RUDE. After being closed so long you'd think they would be friendly and welcoming. They gave us an attitude when we asked if the bar or grill was open. My pregnant daughter needed a lighter ball and they refused to give her one. Something about insulation We left after playing an hour to get a bite to eat. My son in law decided to have us drop him off so he could bowl more. He left his phone in my car. He explained to the staff he's from out of state and didn't have his phone. He asked FOUR different people if he could use the phone to contact my daughter (his wife). They all said no. Ok there is covid but you can't let this man who has no idea where he is to use the phone and wipe it with disinfectant? I will never go to this alley again. We have so many fond memories of going there with our girls as they grew up but never again. Give your money to a place that is kind to their customers. We are all adults and very polite. Our daughter and son in law are both active airmen in the Air Force. I am embarrassed at the terrible way they were treated. They sacrifice for our country and get treated like dog crap. read more

We bring our son to 5 star often because we live near. Today i saw the prices had gone up to $25.00 a hour. Plus the .99 fee to use my debit, thank god he has his own bowling shoes... So almost $26 for 1 child to bowl. Unfortunately i will not be back. You can go to imperial for 1/2 the price before 2 on the weekends and Sterling charges per game. Also, since i'm leaving a review i figured i may as well speak of the older lady in the concessions. She is so rude! Went here today with a meetup group, I live in the area and had not been previously. Definitely "old school" type bowling, right down to the bathrooms, but the facilities were clean and we had fun. Not sure if this is Thursdays only, but after 7pm they have $1 bowling and $3 shoes, which was a great deal - we bowled 3 strings, so for about 2+ hours of entertainment I only spent $6 ($3 for shoes + $3 for three games). I'd come back here again when in the area, I've tried a few of the Troy bowling places and this one is about the same if not better. They have a snack bar area with drinks and food too, if you get hungry/thirsty, and I think they have a bowling league you can join, as well. read more

Horrible place!! I wouldn't go here ever again. The place is exact opposite of their name. We got the hourly rental and Supposedly their 1 hour timer starts when you pay and not when you start playing so when you wear shoes and go to your lane, your timer has already started and this is not even mentioned when you pay up, not something i have ever seen before. Machines are very old style and get stuck in the middle. The balls are also so badly arranged and dented that ut took 20+ mins to sort it out. They refuse to give balls under 8 pounds to adults as they say they are only reserved for kids, again not something i have ever seen before. There is no timer or anything that displays on the screens indicating amt of time left. Will never visit this place again. read more

they allowed their security gard to assault my husband over a mask that my husband did put on after being asked. they allowed this dude to fallow my husband out into the parking lot and to call me out my name when i asked him not to kick my husbands bowling bag as he was walking out the door. he then grubbed my husband by the neck and pushed him to the ground down 3 stairs. my husband is a war veteran with a spinal injury and no cartilage between a few disc on his spine. the security gard then grabbed my husband by his foot and began pulling him across the cement. then he got on top of him and tried to choke him out. The whole time the security gard kept saying yeah hood nigga from 7 mile. smh. we will never be back here again to bowl and i hope others take their business else wear also. when we told staff this they said don't let the door hit you on the way out. so unprofessional. smh. read more

Very reasonable prices.* Would definitely go back again. *Must caveat that it was very insulting to be asked for 50c for one additional 2oz ranch cup after spending over $36 on food alone. None of us took any other condiments. We don't eat ketchup. I could understand if I spent $3 and asked but, that move caused me not to spend anymore money there. My family and I visited this location and it was not happy. The staff was not welcoming at all, We talk to a guy behind the counter and he had a I don't care attitude. This bowling is charged by the hour however it seem like he was rushing us to pay before two more of our family member showed up, He started asking us did we have cash to pay, he said , he didn't want to do a lot card transactions, we were a small group of 8 people. He seemed very controlling , it was our choice how we wanted to pay, with no pressure. We went to get food and the kitchen staff was not to welcoming either , we asked for a pitch of water , the guy behind the counter didn't offer a cup, I ask him if he has a few cups , he said he can't give me any cups , I can try the bar. It seemed like the staff did not care . My sister observed the cook throwing the food around like he didn't want to be there. They took our money with no problem , we deserved to be treated fairly, My family will never visit this place again !!!!!! read more

When you can play outside of league time, everything is great. Front desk, bar, and kitchen staff are attentive and friendly. They have cosmic bowling, the best mini tacos, and good fries. There's tons of parking so you don't have to worry about that. I did notice that did do poker or card games of some sort as well. read more

Not getting "5 Stars" from me Came in to bowl a couple games by myself, and was told they only have an hourly rate on Fridays and Saturdays of $25+. I thought to myself how selfish is that? Now I see why there was only about 5-7 lanes in use. I guess I'll go let some other bowling alley to utilize my "by the game" money. The new technology they have is pretty cool and all, but without people to enjoy it kind of makes it a bit pointless...Kinda makes me wanna reenlist so I can go bowl for free on post, I can save more money for beer... I like to relax have a good time with friends and family buy some food and drinks and not worry about paying and rushing. I mean if it's the quality of the lanes you're worried about implementing fees for ridiculous throws or create an age limit or a membership of some sort? Giving a time limit it's just not that inviting. I feel like I should charge you for the time I took to drive out that way and the time it took me to drive back to another location.. 9/12: You're right if you think about it 5 to 6 games is quite a bang for your buck. The quality of one's experience more important, or at least should be. I also would like to apologize for writing in the moment instead of being rational with my review. With that being said I will add a couple extra stars in regards to your response in display of caring for ones perspective. My initial feelings are important to consider. I will never come back here because of an incident that happened a few years back. To read what happened, look up the Google reviews for this place. I wrote one of the first reviews along with one of my friends. Sort by "lowest score" to find it. Or message me, I'll tell you. All I can say is that this place promotes a racist atmosphere. Bowling was fine, but when in the more private bar area, racial intimidation can occur from the white regular customers. The white bowling alley staff do nothing to protect from it or stop it. They told my friends and I to just leave. I would love to hear when this backwoods bowling alley goes out of business. We had my son's Bday party there and everything was great. The bowling alley was very clean, the bathrooms were clean and updated. Our party host was very attentive and really nice. She gave us great service. We had our party in the VIP area with the couches which was nice and comfy, our guests liked it. All our guests said the pizza was really good. The price wasn't bad either. We had a party for 7 kids and pizza and beer for the adults for under 200 dollars. I would def go back here. read more

VERY racist!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. First I went to get a drink at the bar, the bartender didn't greet us when we walked in, when she did speak to us she spoke in a very nasty and belittling tone. We brushed it off and didn't let it ruin our night. We started bowling, right as we started our second game the bar back came to clear the table, my friend asked for a drink menu and the bar back replied "do you have a green card?" We told the person at the desk what the bar back said and our other experience from earlier that night and he replied well the bar back is mentally ill. The bar back then came out from out the back said "do you have a green card?" Again and balled up his fist. Other workers walked up to us and said "well we don't know what you said to him first." We didn't say anything to him, even if we did what would have gave him that right to say do you have a green card?!? The bowling center is awesome. One of the nicest in the area. I'm going to comment on some of the comments whereas the reviews were that the staff are racist. I've bowled at this center for many, many years. I've seen the 'type' of clientele who have been here on certain nights. If you act human and respectful, you get the same treatment in return, however, when you act like an animal in that you think the tables and surrounding areas are nothing but your dumping ground for your trash, then you need to go elsewhere. The parking lot also is not your dumping area. I've witnessed the mess left by those who could care less. The staff is not there to clean up the mess from your laziness. For the one who claims Caucasian people were given 'their' spot for open bowling, did you ever think they made reservations? You're not entitled, so quit acting like you are. For the people who crab there is no open bowling or the time is short when you arrive, call first. The house is packed with leagues. Common sense would be to call first. Here's my issue. I come here often. These people know my face and they damn well know that I am respectful, relatively quiet, and ALWAYS bring a minimum 4 people in my party. Normally 6-8. This is why I have a problem. I asked to have the lane with couches (the last 20 lanes were empty including all of the couch seats). I was told NO your party of 4 can not have a couch lane because it costs more money to run power over to that side of the alley. F$&@ing ridiculous. I thought it was a joke but it sure as hell was not. 2nd thing. One of our four decided to stop bowling. We kindly walk up and ask for another game for the other three. We don't know how to remove the other player so we roll a ball down the lane to move it along. We're still three frames before the end of our game and are told we have to pay the additional 3 dollars because we said this person wasn't bowling but their frames were filled and it's not their responsibility to remove the other player......yes it is. It is also your responsibility to help your customers in any way you can which includes NOT telling them to basically go fuck themselves when they ask for something reasonable. This also includes preserving your own service by eliminating a player when your FUCKING told that they aren't playing. You know what costs more than running the right side of the bowling alley for an extra 30 cents an hour?? Losing consistent business from a party of 4-8 twice a week. You can have your loud obnoxious disrespectful other patrons that will destroy your shit. Refinish your lanes because of these people. BAD customer service. No concern for treating a customer correctly. My request was extremely reasonable and the response I got was rude and inconsiderate. read more

I came here on a Monday to bowl, since they have $1 games, along with the standard $3 shoe rental. Now that the smoking ban is in full effect - the air is much cleaner in here. Food is subpar, but what do you expect at a bowling alley? It's a rather big bowling alley with numerous lanes, and a billiards/poker room as well, in addition to a cozy bar that usually just has some creepy and/or hometown dudes sitting around at it. Too many teens and high schoolers bowling for my taste. The actual bowling experience in itself was A-OK. But my major gripe is that management is VERY rude, quick, and harsh here. They talk down to all the patrons and are disrespectful. They yell at you for everything they say. If they have to repeat anything twice, you will get an eye-roll and a condescending tone like none other. It really makes you question whether they hate the job, people, their lives, or some combination of the three. At the end of my bowling, I asked where to put my shoes, and when the employee yelled "Just put it on the table, man!" I responded kindly saying, "Here?" And then he said "Yeah man just put it there!" As he mumbled "Am I not speaking in English?" under his breath. It really ranked amongst some of the most rude staff I have ever experienced in an establishment. I understand they probably deal with a lot of punk teenagers, which may contribute to their saltiness, but I am a 27-year old dude, and there was no reason to be that rude to me. I will not be returning here to bowl, unless I am invited to go or obligated to. Overall - good bowling alley with low prices and options to play poker, billiards, couple arcades, albeit busy with teens usually, horrible staff attitudes, and subpar bowling alley food. This is one of our favorite places to bowl very clean and very modern. Me and my friends try and go everytime they have dollar games and have been going consistently for over 4 years now. Love the staff especially the guy with dark hair and a mustache, he's been taking care of us ever since we started going there. The bowling itself isn't bad and the front desk is helpful when issues arise. The real problem is the entire system for ordering drinks. The servers have to pay for each drink from the bar causing the servers to spend more time trying to order your drink for you than actually serving drinks. Not uncommon for it to take an entire game of bowling to get your drink. I don't blame the bartenders or the servers at all, the process needs to change. Couldn't hurt to hire 1 or 2 more servers either since these girls are currently being overworked by demanding leagues. Every one of them and the house will make more money in the long run by fixing this mess. read more
