Her reviews were solid but not particularly up to date. But I just had a good feeling about this woman from the start. I dialed her her up, and during or conversation we figured out that we were from the same neighborhood in NYC... Estelle's vibe is what I imagine Studio 54 would have been in its hey-day.... way cool.. grounded... loving... worldly.. animal loving.. hippie chic. Estelle came to the house to meet me and Lexi before I left out of town. We agreed that Estelle would come to my house twice a day to feed and walk Lexi spending about 30 minutes each time. Estelle stayed way past the 30 minute obligation and which she didn't have to do. Sent lots of pictures and reports about how Lexi was doing. We have a park nearby so Estelle took her over there to run around sometimes also. Last week we had some house work going on so I dropped Lexi off at Estelle's for a day visit. Lexi got along splendidly with her two semi-small babies (20 ish pounds each). Her small babies ran and played and played and played with Lexi who is twice their size wth no problem! The professionalism from Pets R Family was evident right away. Before the first time Scott sat for us he came over to get all of the information he'd need to care for our pet and home. He asked about our vet, emergency contact numbers, water preference, foods, etc. For our home he asked about things like the trash schedule and mailbox location. I know many people like boarding their pets, but I love the convenience of having my pet cared for in our home where he feels safe and comfortable. I love that I don't have to drop off and pickup, especially for early morning departures and late returns. In the past boarding meant parting with my pet the night before a trip. Now I just leave for my trip knowing my pet will be checked on. So easy! Scheduling sitting is so easy. We had the initial meeting years ago and now I just text Scott the dates we need him. He has always been available and has never left me scrambling to find another option. When I'm away I get occasional texts letting me know that all is well. When I was nearing my due date with my daughter I asked Scott to be "on call" and he was happy to do so. So when it was time to head to the hospital all I had to do was text Scott. From the first consultation, Brendan was confident, clear, and straightforward. He explained that the program would take eight weeks and emphasized that our consistency at home would be the key to success. He also provided all of the necessary equipment, including a long-range collar, leashes, and training collars, which made the process easy to get started. After the consultation, we planned to take a few days to think about it, but within minutes of Brendan leaving, my wife was already asking me to call him back and get started right away. That pretty much says it all. The program consisted of one session per week for eight weeks. In our case, that included four in-home sessions, two sessions at a nearby park, and two additional sessions tailored to what we wanted to focus on. We chose more dog-focused park training instead of busier, people-heavy environments like Lowe's or Home Depot. Each session was followed up with a detailed text recap covering what we worked on and how to continue practicing during the week. That made a huge difference in staying consistent. I did extensive research before choosing Pawsh Palace because I am extremely cautious about who I trust with my dogs, and all these years later, I have yet to take them anywhere else. Their comfort, care, and safety will always be my number one priority, and I genuinely feel like Pawsh is worth every penny. I now have a senior dog as well, and daycare has been wonderful for keeping her active, social, and young at heart. The staff is also incredibly good about following any notes I leave for her. Since she gets tired more easily, I'll ask that she play for a few hours and then spend some time relaxing in her room, and they've always been great about accommodating that. Whether my dogs are there for daycare or overnight boarding, they always come home happy and well cared for. I've even left them at Pawsh for an entire week, and they had an absolute blast. I LOVE the report cards and think they are such a sweet touch. Getting to see pictures of them having fun, both in their report cards and on Pawsh's social media, makes this protective dog mom very happy. Living in Vegas also makes having a place like Pawsh incredibly valuable. When it's 110 degrees outside, there are only so many walks and outdoor activities you can safely do with your dogs. I used to take my dogs to their location near the Strip, and I could not be happier that there is now a Pawsh Palace closer to my home.
