It's near the shelter in West Jordan, so I assume that it gets a lot of use from the general public as well as the pups staying at the shelter. It's rather large-with multiple fenced in areas for running free. If one area has too many dogs or one that isn't playing nice with the others, you can pick a different section. I like that there's a sidewalk that goes around the perimeter, so you can walk and get your steps in while your pup follows loosely, or plays nearby. I appreciate the shaded benches and seating areas as well as the ample amounts of water stations. The parking lot is a little small, but there's more parking across the street at the ball fields if needed.

I appreciate that there are separate areas for different sizes, so both big and small dogs can feel comfortable and safe. The park is generally clean and well‑maintained, and there are benches and shaded spots where you can relax while watching your dog have a blast. It's also fun to meet other dog owners, the atmosphere is friendly and social without ever feeling too crowded. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the water stations can be inconsistent at times, and during peak hours it can get a bit busy. But overall, it's one of the better dog parks in the area and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a fun, open space for your dog to run around.

So the way I might judge a park is different than if the pups do....and since this is a dog park, I'll write the review from their standpoint...if they could write. As soon as mom drives up the street, I immediately recognize where we are and start whining with excitement. I remember playing here and have been so excited to return. She pulls into the parking lot (which can get crowded at peak times, but we go early in the morning and it's A-OK). I can hardly contain my excitement as we get to the gate. Inside, there is so much room to run! I especially love the stream down at the bottom, although there are signs warning the people about the potential for disease from the water. But I don't care-I jump right in. Along the perimeter, there's a walking path that mom walks along and I loosely follow. I guess she likes that she can keep an eye on me while I can also run free. There's are other areas that are separate-a small dog section and another gated area if some dogs want privacy. Kind of nesting play areas, if you will. There are signs all around reminding people to pick up poop, along with bags to help with the icky task. They are kind of passive aggressive- they basically say "don't come here if you can't pick up after your dog." I get the point, but the tone is a little strange and unwelcoming. There is a lot of native vegetation and plants. Some of them can be a little prickly and get stuck in my fur-so mom always checks to get foxtails out when we go home. Of all the parks that mom takes me to, this one is two paws up and pretty dog-gone great. I love the space to run and the water to play in.

It's not the closest to home (for us) but it is in a rather convenient location in Sandy near lots of residences, so it gets lots of love. There's a dedicated parking lot a short walk away from the entrance to the park. In fact, there are two separate areas-perhaps to segregate the large and small dogs. But the day I went, the park nearer to the parking lot was chained off. It's not uncommon to see that when the turf needs time to breath, but that area had no grass. So I'm not sure why it was closed. The side that was open was plenty large. There's a track that circles the park, with a play area on either side. Our dogs prefer to walk with us, venturing off the path to chase an interesting scent or to claim a tree as their own. Plenty of other dogs were chasing balls or each other in the middle area. It's so cute! Can I pet that dog? And that one? I appreciate that there is seating along the path for people to take a break. Benches or seats near trees where there is shade is ideal and they have a few of those.

It's gated so most people hang their dogs leashes up on the fence area before entering that way their animals can roam free. It gets hot but there is some shade and some picnic tables so people can meet up for doggy dates or picnics in the afternoon or evening. It stays open pretty late with the days being longer now that it is summer. It's a wonderful dog park with lovely dogs who are all usually fun, friendly, and safe dogs for everyone to interact with.

The first amazing surprise is there was no entry fee! We entered the garden and quickly ran into another surprise- a human-sized chess board! My boys wanted to play a game against each other...didn't know it was going to take 45mins...but it was fun to sit and watch and listen to the birds chirping. We then continued our tour around the grounds and saw many wonderful plants, trees, bushes, flowers and more. The grounds are beautifully manicured! There some educational areas where you can learn more about irrigation, landscaping and design. To walk around the garden takes about 30mins, but we spent 1.5hrs here as we took a lot of pictures and asked some questions from the workers. The workers and volunteers were very gracious to answer our questions and teach us more about the garden. You can tell they love their job and they love visitors. At the end of the tour, I made sure to drop a little cash in their donation box. Thanks Conservation Garden Park for the great time!

We stopped in here to take some casual iPhone photos as a family since we don't see eachother everyday. (Photography requires a $10 pass) It was the perfect backdrop for what we were doing, and we had a great time exploring the gardens through the park along the way.

This place has so much to offer! We didn't realize how much or we would have gotten here earlier!…read more I have been wanting to check this place out since shortly after we moved to Utah. It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program. There are trash cans available in the parking lot. DOGS ARE ALLOWED, but must be on leash. There are poo bags available for dog owners. The park has a paved 2-way walking/biking trail. It looks like a mini road. As you walk along the paved trail, you can see the Old Mill. It is fenced off to the public, but you can get an overall look of the whole place. The trail is pretty short and at the end of it, you reach the road and a residence area. The bridge near the parking lot over-looks a huge gaping hole. When I visited the park, the whole area was dry, but I have a feeling it should be filled with water. There were signs about being careful in the water, also there were a couple lost water toys in the mass of stones. I enjoyed this park, but I do wish the trail was longer. I have a feeling the huge river/reservoir and the Old Mill are the main attractions of the park, but there is no water in the huge hole at the moment and the Old Mill is fenced off, so there isn't much to do. Without the reservoir filled, I don't think a long drive to the park would be worth it, but I only live 5 minutes away from the park, so I didn't mind it. I would come back again because it's convenient and a bit more interesting than other parks that only have playgrounds and grass fields.
